SPEAKER_01:

We're back once again for New York next to the least. We're gonna talk about the next one sticks. One underwent over the match. We got things to discuss. We gotta talk about the officiating. We gotta talk about Miles McBride update with that injury. We gotta just talk about this game. Uh, we're gonna talk about Giannis right off the bat because everyone wants to talk about the Giannis. Well, evidently, it was finally confirmed today, about 26 minutes ago, that the destination of preference for Giannis is gonna be the New York Knicks. I I mean, what I if I was Giannis and I I played in Milwaukee, I I think I would want to go to the Mecca because you're in Milwaukee. Nothing wrong with Milwaukee. They used to make a good beer or a bad beer, especially when you were in college, because it was cheap, but it's not a NBA capital capital of the world. It's Milwaukee. But you know, we're gonna have to keep an eye on that because that's both gonna linger because the two participants in this trade, Giannis and Kat, are both dealing with a little bit of an injury. So we gotta we gotta we gotta we gotta wait and see what that's speaking of injury. Miles McBride went down last night or yesterday afternoon. We should say because it was a 12 o'clock game. It was family day at the garden. Uh he went down with that ankle injury. Right now, X-rays have come back negative. He is going to have an MRI today, so we're gonna have to keep an uh we're gonna have to keep a little bit of watch on that. Um, with Landry Shamit down and now McBride potentially out for an extended period of time. And Katz now dealing with an issue as well after uh he had he's got a little bit of a calf issue going back to the end of that game the other day against the Utah Jazz, a blowout against the Jazz. You know, the Knicks, the Knicks are becoming the walking wounded. They really are. And with the with the the you know it's funny, we thought we had a bench this year. We really did. We thought we were gonna have some guys to facilitate on the bench. And when you go out with McBride, you you you have to then adjust with Kat being out. You're gonna have to move Mitchell Robinson back into the starting lineup. You're gonna rely on the likes of Ariel Hacaporti, you're gonna rely on the likes of Tyler. I like Tyler. I think I think he's a good kid. He wears 13. I'm a Mark Jackson fan, but that's about all I like about him in the NBA. I know some people think he could do some things, but I don't really see him playing defensive well. I don't really see him shooting well, and I don't see him passing well. Eight minutes last night, he was one for two for two points. He had one assist and one turnover. He's gonna have to step up big. He's gonna have to come up like seven up because with McBride down, you're gonna have to rely more on Jordan Clarkson while he played 17 minutes. Airlock Aporti can do so many things well defensively, and he also rebounded. He had seven rebounds yesterday. But the problem is this he's got zero offensive game. Zero. He had six points and four of them came from the line. You got Gershon to me is gonna have to find more of an extended role. Again, if Miles McMilles McBride is out for an extended period of time. And it looks like he probably will be. We're hoping it's gonna kind of be a Jalen Brunson situation that we had earlier in the year where we thought he might have been out for an extended period of time with the ankle, but it came back like two games later. So we have to find some of that magic, some of that guard and magic, and sprinkle it in the air. And speaking of guard and magic, the Knicks, of course, took this one 106 to 100. It got a little kluge at the end with about 59 seconds left. Mike Brown had pulled most of his starters, but once the magic started making that mini run, uh, all of a sudden Josh Hart and Brunson were running off the bench. I love it. There's a great video of Josh Hart with like 58 seconds left in the game, holding his kid on the bench because we all thought it was wrapped up. It was kind of a Thibodeau moment for Mike Brown. And all of a sudden he yells at Brunson, yo, back in the game. Brunson, what does he do? He takes his kid and he tosses him over to Mitchell Robinson. It was Mitchell Robinson with you know, Mitchell Robinson in the paint. Hart with the assist to Robinson with his kid. It was pretty, it was pretty funny. And of course, then Mitchell Robinson handed back the young child over to Josh Hart's wife that's sitting in the row behind him. Because it was like I said, it didn't mention it was family day. We gotta talk about the officiating. The Knicks game was I don't want to get too in-depth in it, but what the Knicks game was just one of those games that it it literally was three blind mice. And I I can't figure out if if if they're just not if if they're just not teaching things in officiating school, if if they're just blind to things, but it's um it's amazing me when Desmond Bain launches a ball into the back of Oji Ananobi, who is lying on the ground, they literally, the refs, I get now you could plainly see him, OG Ananobi, laying on the ground, and and Desmond Bain taking the ball and launching it into the back of Oji Ananobi. As he's on the ground, the referees blow the whistle and say, you know what? We're gonna have to see if that was a foul. So they literally had to take they literally had to confer with the videotape. I remind it reminded me of Brian X giant head coach Brian Dale for a minute. I'm gonna have to go to the videotape and see if that was a foul. And of course, they did call it a technical. I I don't understand how Desmond Bain was not ejected for for a shot. I mean, it literally was shocking to watch. And there was a little bit of an exchange afterwards. And if I was Desmond Bain, I think OG Ananobi is probably the one guy on the next I would not want to fuck with. But it was beyond flagrant. It was it it it it it it looked, I mean, it literally was how can you just how do you have to take a timeout, a referee's timeout, and sit there and go, well, we have to go to the tape to see if that was a flagrant fly, see if that was a foul, see if that was a technical. Oh, great balls of fire. And there were so many, and I love it because the Knicks had a coach's challenge early in the game, which was clearly it was it was supposedly a foul on Ariel Hockey who was blocking a shot. And they called it, they called him for the foul. And you could plainly see in the instant replay that Ariel didn't even touch the guy, didn't he didn't even graze his arm, was clearly like two inches away from the guy's arm. You could clearly see it on the videotape, clearly see it, and the Knicks course challenged it immediately, and the referees go, nope, he hit him, that's a foul, and you're watching it over and over again. They're playing it. I I'm eight rows up, and they're playing it on the jumbotron above the court. You can clearly see he didn't even touch him, didn't graze his arm. Nothing. And then there was another play where a magic player took a shot. Now the Knicks had lost their challenge, so they can't challenge, they lost the timeout and they can't challenge again. But they actually went to a replay, they went to an they went to an instant replay to look at this. There was another play where a magic player shot the ball and he missed, and the Knicks rebound, and they called it, they called it a foul. They called, and it was a three-pointer. They called it a foul, it was a foul. And again, once you're watching the video, the ball was long gone out of this gentleman's hand, was already off the rim, and then the Nick player grazed the guy's elbow. It was all it was all in a singular motion, so there was no way that you could see this, and we were all laughing because it's like it's not he the ball out was already bounced off the rim by the time the Nick's hand grazed the elbow of the Magic player, but it was a foul. Oh just another day in Nick Paradise. But like I said, it was a it was a good win, especially after what we have had dealt with the last two games of the Magic. Magic one. Uh the Magic one most recently, 133 to 121. They also won 124 to 107 back on the 12th of uh November. It, you know, the I I keep thinking this that the the if the Knicks truly have championship aspirations, I know there's certain other teams out there that are going to be in their way, but I just have this feeling that the road's gonna run through Orlando, and this Orlando Magic team really matches up extremely well with the New York Knicks team. We want to give a big shout out, of course, to Jalen Brunson. I think Jalen Brunson missed his his friend, the cat, Carl Anthony Towns in the middle, because he took a beaten every time he tried to drive. And I know at times, you know, Kat seems a little disinterested because Kat doesn't play to the his ability that some fans think he should, but he is that large presence in the middle of the court, especially offensively, that allows Brunson to head to the hoop. Uh, we also had another big game from Hart. I I love, like I said, I love Josh Hart. 17 points, 12 rebounds, two more steals as well. This is a guy that's all he's playing his 34 minutes. He's always out there, he's always running, he's always doing everything he possibly can to will this team to win. Another big game for Hart. Also, OG Ananobi had a nice game with uh 21 points and seven rebounds. It's and then Bridges is just Bridges. You know, Bridges is 12 points, six rebounds, seven assists, two steals, only one turnover and a block. I'm gonna say it, I'm gonna say it again, I'm gonna say it over and over again. The Knicks probably have the best starting five right now in the NBA. The bench, once again, especially with the loss of Miles McBride, potential loss of Miles McBride, is going to be devastating at times until Carl Anthony Towns comes back. And we do have to find some more scoring off this bench, and we need to try try to find a true point guard to help facilitate this offense.
