In the eighty-sixth shloka of Soundaryalahari, Adi Shankara reveals the tender and divine love between Shiva and Shakti. He portrays a playful mischief where Devi lovingly strikes Shiva’s forehead with Her foot when the Lord utters another woman’s name by mistake.
