In the ninety-eighth shloka of Soundaryalahari, Adi Shankara prays for the blessing of the sacred water from the Divine Mother’s feet, tinged with the red hue of alaktaka (alta). He celebrates its power: those who partake of it gain eloquence, inspiration, and divine grace. With deep longing, he humbly asks when he might be worthy to drink this blessed nectar.
Meditate and yearn to partake the sacred nectar flowing from the divine feet of the Mother with the evocative Raga Sindhubhairavi.
