Hello love, this is Mama Lark, welcome to Good Mama Meditations. If you've ever yearned for a loving mother to gently wake you into your day, this meditation is for you. To learn more about this series, I encourage you to listen to the introduction track, and if you'd like to learn more about my own remothering journey, look for Good Mama Magic, How I Lost My Religion, Hitchhiked Away From Marriage, Discovered Magic, and Met the Mother by Brooke Lark. This meditation was written by Mama Cat, the mother friend of mine who inspired the whole meditation series. Mama Cat has four wild red-headed fox babies, she breathes love into their bones and sings poetry into their souls, and today she welcomes you into her mighty pack. What she says is true. What she speaks, she knows. Listen to her words and begin your day knowing that this mama has written these words for her magnificent, expansive, and precious wilding, you. And now, good morning with Good Mama Cat. Good morning, starshine. Good morning. I am so happy to see your face this morning. I know you think I say that every morning, but you know what? It's because it's true. I was just thinking before I came up here. I was just thinking about how happy I am that you're my kid. I feel so lucky to be your mom. Yeah. You know what? Okay, here's why. You're thoughtful. You're sensitive. Let me tell you. It's okay. Let me just tell you. Hang on. You're thoughtful. You're sensitive. You're so funny. You're kind. You're curious. I love the ways you're curious. You're smart. God knows you are so smart. And you are so beautiful. You are beautiful. You know I'm your mom. You think I'm biased, but look. I'm a little bit of a snob. And you have the best nose. You have a gorgeous forehead, but I love your nose so much. Trust me. I know good noses. One thing I love about you most is that you seem to have an inner sense of who you are deep inside. Even when you're feeling a little lost or you're not sure what it is that you want, it's amazing to see that in you as you move through the world. You know who you are deep inside. And it helps the people around you. You know that as well for themselves. I don't know if you know that about yourself. I think I've never told you that before. It's such a beautiful experience to be with you as you are growing and figuring yourself out. Learning for yourself what you like and what you don't like. You know, it's what we're all here to do. It's how we grow up. Learning how to be yourself. Learning how to trust yourself and love yourself. I'm still learning it. What I want for you more than anything else is for you to keep learning how to love yourself. Love who you really are without embarrassment or shame. I know it's harder some days than others. It's easy to be hard on yourself. We're almost expected to be. We live in a world that tells you how to love yourself. I want you not to think too highly of yourself. But I need you to know. You gotta know. You are just such a treat. I love when you share funny thoughts with me. I love when you send me memes. I love when you show me the things that interest you. You showed me that cool rock the other day and I'd never noticed it before. It made me really happy. I love hearing what's on your mind. I didn't realize that you were there. I didn't realize this would happen when I became a mom. But it's so interesting to get to see the world through your eyes. We're pretty different in some ways. Which is another thing I love about you. You've taught me about how different people think and move through the world in ways I couldn't have learned from anyone else. I'm so grateful for that. I'm literally a better person because I'm your mom. I'm literally a better person because I'm your mom. So I want you to remember that today. It's a marvel that any of us are here. And I'm glad I'm here with you. As a mom, I couldn't ask for a better kid. As a mom, I couldn't ask for a better kid. I love you so much. No matter where you go today, remember that. No matter where you go today, remember that. It is a Blessing to be your mother. It is a Blessing to be your mother. It is a Blessing to know you. I Love You. Have the best day-to-day and I'm so excited to hear about all of your adventures tonight.
