Welcome to the deeper dive with Ford Sanders. This is a space for exploration fact finding and hopefully justice for victims of cases with no true closure.
For almost the last decade, I’ve been reporting independently for major tv networks and on social media. Journalism to me is community, snooping and getting the answers we need.
From more than a dozen deaths in Austin’s ladybird lake in the last two years to gun wielding maniacs going on a murder rampage stretching from San Antonio to Austin. I’ve been right there on the scene for every single one.

In this episode, I sit down with Whitney Gutierrez. Whitney is the sister in law of Martin Gutierrez. 25-year-old Martin was found dead in Lady Bird Lake in November of 2018. Whitney shares more about who Martin really was and his character so we can work to memorialize some of these victims beyond being just that: a victim.
