Ryan Mellon [00:00:00]:
Guys. Welcome to another episode of Digital Nomad Nation, Nomad Notes edition, and this is a different 1 version of Nomad Notes. Usually, I don't interview someone. But today, I have Young, and she is a with Bali Travel Solutions here in Bali. Welcome, Young.
Young [00:00:17]:
Hi, Ryan. How are you?
Ryan Mellon [00:00:19]:
I'm good. I'm great. I'm here in Seminyak. Thanks to you on a digital nomad visa, the 33. So thank you again so much for helping me get that put together so quickly. So I wanted to just talk to the listeners about Bali's digital nomad visa because I think it's 1 of the best that's out there. And I know that in my experience, I tried to do it on my own at the beginning. I went to the immigration's website.
Ryan Mellon [00:00:49]:
I put in all the documentation. It got rejected. I got the documentation right. I got everything right after days and days and days of trying. And then when it was time for me to make the payment, I cannot figure out how to pay Indonesia for this for this visa. It was just terrible. It was terrible experience. So are do you have other clients that come to you because they also have challenges of doing it on their own?
Young [00:01:20]:
Yes. It's the same. I don't know why. I mean, they're making the website for internationally, but for the payment, immigration doesn't make international payment. It's a little bit funny to hear, but it is what it is.
Ryan Mellon [00:01:37]:
Yeah. It is what it is. So, yeah, I I spent maybe two weeks trying to do it on my own. And then I reached out to 1 of the Facebook groups, and someone had suggested you because they had worked with you before. And so that's when I reached out. So tell me a little bit about how the process works and who the e 33 g visa is for if someone is interested.
Young [00:02:04]:
Yeah. So e 33 g g, the other name is Digital Nomad KiTas or Remote Worker KiTas. So this is a really good visa or temporary permit stay for peoples who are working online for companies outside Indonesia, either you are working as an employee or you are working for your own business. But the most important thing that you have to know is like you have to work online and you have to work for companies outside Indonesia, not for Indonesian companies because if you are working for Indonesian companies, there are so many options for a vision visa. But for the digital remote or remote workers, just from the name, you know, that you cannot work for companies in Indonesia even though you are remote, but still that's the rules for immigration. But this is like 1 of the best because for so many times like for years many digital nomad peoples live in Bali, either in Samiak like you or maybe like the village of digital nomad people, Tjambu, but they don't have to write temporary permit state, they only have visa and this visa is not like really like civil, like many hassles you have to keep extending or like it is single entry so when you are like so I'm here, you have to stay here the whole time. You cannot leave the country at all or like, if you wanna have a short holiday, you cannot. But digital amat kitas because fill it straight for one year, so you don't need to think about when do I need to extend every thirty days, every sixty days and this is also multiple entry.
Young [00:04:03]:
It means you can make Bali as your base car but whenever you are maybe like you are boring or like you have a business meeting outside Indonesia or you wanna have a weekend getaway in a country nearby, the visa is still valid.
Ryan Mellon [00:04:19]:
Yeah. I love that about that. I think that's very awesome that they did that because it's a one year visa, but multiple entry like you said. So Yeah. If I wanna hop over to Thailand or Singapore or The Philippines for a week and go on a little vacation, I can go and come back. And
Young [00:04:37]:
Yes.
Ryan Mellon [00:04:38]:
And when I come back, I can go right through the automated gates again. Right?
Young [00:04:43]:
Yes. And that's also the good thing about this key task is, like, you can use auto gate. You don't need to talk to immigration officer. But the most importantly, you have to remember that, you have to have electronic passport. If you have electronic passport, you can take, auto get fifteen second, gun.
Ryan Mellon [00:05:03]:
Okay.
Young [00:05:03]:
No hassle, no PIN, nothing.
Ryan Mellon [00:05:05]:
Yeah. No. It was super easy for me coming into the country. I came in really late at night, and so not having to stand in line with all the other people and deal with immigration was very nice. And so what you're saying is your Visa needs to have the, like, the RFID card, the digital version of it. So it needs to be updated version for that to work. Right?
Young [00:05:28]:
Yes.
Ryan Mellon [00:05:29]:
Okay. Okay. And
Young [00:05:30]:
your passport, not your visa. Your
Ryan Mellon [00:05:32]:
I'm sorry. Yeah. Your passport. What?
Young [00:05:35]:
Some countries, they don't use electoral passport.
Ryan Mellon [00:05:38]:
Okay. That's good to mention. So, yeah. Make sure your passport does have the RFID chip in it. And if so, then you'll be able to go through the automatic gates when you arrive in the country, which was really nice. That was the first this is my fourth time in the Bali and first time using the auto gates, and then Yeah. It was it was amazing. Yeah.
Ryan Mellon [00:05:59]:
So thank you so much. So you said who it's for. What are the the top 5 countries that you see that you help people come from for the digital nomad visas? I'm curious.
Young [00:06:11]:
So for me, Because, you know, I think, like, different agency, different customer. But from my company, my top price is, France people from France and then, Maryland, Germany, America, Australia.
Ryan Mellon [00:06:32]:
Okay. Interesting. Okay. I was just curious about who who the most digital nomad workers that you see are coming through. That's very interesting. And there's a possible extension of this visa. Right? We don't know the details yet.
Young [00:06:47]:
Definitely, you can extend. But but the process, we haven't have the details yet because, this visa just released April 2024. So, yeah, I will keep you updated this, coming months because, you know, definitely I already, have customer that needs to renew their KITAS on April 0.
Ryan Mellon [00:07:13]:
Okay. So basically, we're waiting for immigration, Indonesian immigration to put the rules out and and the guidelines for for that. Right?
Young [00:07:24]:
Only about the process, but definitely you can extend. It's just about the process.
Ryan Mellon [00:07:29]:
Yeah. Yeah. We're still waiting to understand that. Awesome. And as far as, like, what what things do people need if they want to apply with you? Like, what things do they need to give you, and what is the cost to get you to help them with the digital nomad visa?
Young [00:07:46]:
So for now, the cost is a little bit chase from your last price because immigration just chase the fee last month, So now the price is 14,000,000. I think it's about 800, yeah, 800 US dollar, I think. Something like that.
Ryan Mellon [00:08:05]:
Okay.
Young [00:08:05]:
And then it takes seven working days. This is the thing that you need to pay attention. It's not seven calendar days, but it's seven working days or seven business days.
Ryan Mellon [00:08:18]:
Okay. But that's pretty fast. And what kind of documentation do you need from your clients to get the visa approved?
Young [00:08:26]:
So I need the passport. I need the photo just like a passport photo, and then I need information about that you are working for a company outside Indonesia just to be sure because, you know, I don't want any violence, from this visa because that will be my responsibility to immigration because I am your guarantor so I need to make sure that all my customers are really people who are working online. It's not like I mean like if you have your own business, that's still okay. But I just want to be sure that you are not working in person in Indonesia. Like, for example, teaching yoga, become a DJ. No. I used Yes. Don't want that.
Young [00:09:15]:
So that's why I need that letter.
Ryan Mellon [00:09:17]:
That makes sense. And I I I see your travel agency as my guarantor on my Yeah. On my key test. So you're you you need to make sure you're doing your job correct so that you don't get in trouble. So we appreciate you outlining that. And so how can people reach you if they're interested in your services?
Young [00:09:38]:
Okay. So I have website. You can reach me at palitlevel solutions dot com, or you also can text me on WhatsApp, (628) 115-7995, or you also can reach me on my Instagram at balitravel dot solutions.
Ryan Mellon [00:10:03]:
