You know that deep-down feeling that love is meant for you? That it’s supposed to be easier than this? You’re right.
Love isn’t something you chase. It’s something you attract when you shift into the energy that calls it in.
The problem isn’t you—it’s the way you’ve been taught to approach love. I help women break the cycle of overthinking and searching so they can finally start receiving the relationship they know is out there.
That’s exactly what we do in 1:1 coaching. We clear the hidden blocks keeping love just out of reach, so it stops feeling like a struggle—and starts feeling inevitable.
If that hit home, let’s talk. Book a free discovery call at https://calendly.com/kayvandunk/30min, and let’s get started on the path to the love you deserve.
Hi and welcome, or welcome back to Love on the Brain. I'm your host, Kay Van Dunk, and I help independent women who are single, divorced, or widowed find their soulmates while staying true to their high standards. In each episode, we dive into a frustrating question you may have about love. Today’s question is one many of us have faced: Why does it feel like everyone else is in a relationship but me?
There’s a point in life where it seems like everyone is getting booed up, engaged, or married. You might find yourself as the bridesmaid but never the bride, the third wheel, or the only single one in your friend group. It’s easy to feel out of sync, like your reality is different from everyone else’s. But here’s the truth: none of that actually matters.
As you notice the relationships around you, ask yourself: How many of these people are in relationships you would genuinely want for yourself? How many are with their ideal partner or even their soulmate? Remember, your goal is finding your soulmate. Not everyone shares that goal.
Some people stay in relationships simply because they don’t want to be single. You might even hear phrases like "Half a man is better than no man." But that’s not your path. Your journey is about finding the right relationship, not just any relationship.
If you find yourself comparing, that’s your signal to shift your focus. What do you want? Think about your values, needs, and desires. What are you truly looking for in a partner? If you’re not sure, take some time to reflect. My Soulmate Blueprint Wishlist is a fantastic tool to help you get clear on what you want.
Once you know what you’re seeking, you’re far less likely to settle. You’ll stop worrying about whether you’re behind or missing out because you’ll trust your soulmate is out there. Even if ten people around you are in relationships and only one of them is genuinely with their soulmate, that’s your sign. It’s possible for you, too.
Trust that your soulmate is on their way. Timing is everything, and the wait will be worth it. You’re not just looking for anyone — you’re holding space for the right one. Instead of focusing on what others have, remind yourself that you are worth waiting for.
Let’s reframe this with an afformation: How did I stop comparing myself to others?
Asking this question tells your brain that the comparison is in the past. It’s a powerful way to move forward. Remember, comparison truly is the thief of joy, especially when it comes to your love life.
You are not behind. You’re not missing out. Trust the process, stay aligned with your vision, and keep creating a fulfilling life. When your soulmate arrives, you’ll see that the wait was entirely worth it.
Before we go, I’d love for you to take a moment to think of one thing you’re grateful for. Gratitude is the highest vibration of all. As always, I’m so grateful for you tuning in. Love you for listening, and remember: When love is on the brain, asking better questions leads to better answers.
