This mini interview with Rodrigo Bautista, co-owner of Fährt, a lifestyle brand specializing in motorcycle adventure riding events. Fährt organizes monthly meetups from April to November in the Hudson Valley, Western Massachusetts, and Connecticut, where riders gather at a local spot and are provided with both paved and mixed-terrain routes to explore the area. Fährt Moto Meet Ups and Tours

Hello, my beautiful Motorheads. Welcome to FÉROCE, where we inspire you to live fiercely. Recently I was up at Dirt Daze where I met the guys from Fährt and took one of their bite-sized tours.

I wanna share with you a mini interview I did with Rodrigo Batista, one of the two owners of Fährt I also wanna share some onboard footage of the ride that I took with those guys, and also share details about an event that is happening this weekend coming up. So make sure you stay until the end because there's some important information about that.

All right, so I have heard a lot about you guys. I've been following you on social media. How do you pronounce the name of your company? It's pronounced F-air-t, but you can call it fart. Fert fair. I've heard it all. It's fine as long as people remember it and as long as like you get it the first time or at least it brings you back to something, then that's kind of all we really care about.

I mean, it is a German word and it does mean to like go on a ride or the act. Of he or she rides or drives and like long journey and so on and so forth. So it's, it's funny, it's, I, it's catchy, but it also does have like meaning behind it. But we decided to stick with it. I was on the fence, but like, it's something that people always ask, so it's a nice conversation starter.

So I'm, I'm, I'm happy with that aspect and at least gets people in the door to kind of like want to know more.

And who are you? Uh, I'm Rodrigo. Um, I am one part or the kind of the initial part of Fährt, uh, me and my business partner Tom, who's actually out doing one of the bite-sized routes that we're providing here at Dirt Daze.

And I'm here kind of, sort of manning the booth. Um, we've been doing it now for a little over two years as kind of like a very social, sort of lifestyle brand. Um, but our main premise is kind of doing these destination meetups, uh, where that we do once a month. From April to November in the, uh, Hudson Valley of New York, Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

And we get people to, to show up, to arrive to a, a lovely country store, a brewery, a coffee shop. And then once they get to that destination, we provide little mini routes for them to do that, help 'em explore the back roads of that small town. Uh. Or back country. And then, um, which, and then we provide a, a short sort of pavement route and then a, a, a mix of dirt route.

So do people, oops. That's okay. So do people have to be on an adventure bike or can they show up on like whatever you show up on whatever. Okay. We are a little bit, we are like. Adventure focused, but we think that you can go on an adventure on any bike. Okay. So it's like two wheels, which is why we provide a, a straightly like tarmac pavement route.

Mm-hmm. And then one that includes dirt as well. And if you want to take your, you know, your Harley or your, or your sport bike on the dirt Yeah. Feel free to do so depending on how good you ride. Yeah, exactly. So like, it's, it's, we really want to kind of like invoke the spirit of just like that adventure riding can be.

On any bike, can be on any, can be by any rider, from wherever you sort of come from, and kind of invoking sort of that spirit. Um, it, this kind of started as like a, something that I wanted to see for myself, um, what I was looking for. Mm-hmm. As a, as a rider. Um, and kind of a place that that would kind of feel welcoming in every aspect.

So it doesn't matter what type of adventure bike you're riding, doesn't matter if you're riding a Harley Davidson, doesn't matter if you're riding a sports bike. We want like everyone to show up and, and just be able to discover and, and ride. Really, it's more than anything.
