Welcome again to the Sonic Hitchhiker Podcast. I am your host, billy Shadow, and once again we have with us Christy Hutcherson, who the last episode she told us about a very interesting ghost story, a haunted house that she lived in for less than a year and I think most people, if they live in a haunted house, a year or less is probably as much as they can stand, depending on the circumstances. So she lasted almost a year. So kudos to her for that, her and her boyfriend, stephen. And now Chrissy is with us again today to tell us about yet another supernatural supernatural.

I call it a supernatural story, or maybe just an incident that happens more than we care to talk about, and that is UFO sightings. She has one of those. I don't have one of those in my life. I've always wished I did, just because I think most people want to see something. I've seen a few things, for sure, but that is something I haven't seen. So I'm looking forward to talking to Christy about her experience and so, without further ado, christy, tell us your story about your UFO experience.

Wow, yeah, well, to be real with you, I've got the initial one, the hallmark one, and then subsequent ones, so I'll tell you all of them. Okay, I grew up in Georgia. I was born in California. My parents are from Oklahoma. My dad worked for Lockheed, so he worked on a lot of interesting projects that were you know for lack of a better word saying it top secret. You couldn't talk about them.

Experimental aircraft and stuff. When we had moved from California to Georgia, we lived in a place called Dallas, Georgia, Alden County. Yep had moved from California to Georgia. We lived in a place called Dallas, Georgia, Alden County, and back in those days it was very rural, so we lived on a dirt road out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, you're talking about a couple other houses, fields filled with cows now, and then not always having cows Creek with a big wooden bridge over it that we used to play at all the time as kids.

In case you're wondering, as we're doing this podcast, there's a helicopter flying overhead as soon as she starts talking about UFOs, so it could be that she knows more than she should be saying. And they're listening. They are Go ahead, sorry.

So no, it was great. So you know, I'm like a kid and I'm the youngest of five girls, so my immediate sister is about a year and a half older than me, and then the other one, my middle sister's, four and a half years older, so I don't know where we were this night. Okay, so, because this is, I must have been 10 or 11. We'd gone out. My parents were at home, uh, and my sister, kitty, was driving. She was 16, sarah was about 12 and a half, something like that. I'm 10, 11, something like that. So we're coming back and we're driving down the road Ta-da-da-da-da-da, you know what, like we always do, the down-the-dirt road topping this little hill. Down below is the wooden bridge on the way to our house. As soon as we topped that hill, as I mentioned, we lived out in the middle of nowhere, cows, a few houses.

This is at night.

Yeah, it was at night, Okay okay, Nighttime it was, you know, dark as it could be because it was out in the middle of the country.

Clear sky as far as I know. Okay, as far as I know, okay.

So we top that hill and all of a sudden now you've got to remember, I used to play it down at this- creek where the time, so I knew it intimately yeah, top the hill and we see what looks like is above the tree line very tall pines, two car headlights just hovering two just look like two car headlights, literally like a car hovering above the tree lines separated or together just like like two headlights okay, like if you were to turn a car in the air upside down, or or just have it up in the air vertical, where the where the lights are shining down.

It looked like that it looked like that okay trying to get a visual exactly, yeah okay, so I mean literally. It's as if you were. The car was in front of us. Just place it way up in the trees how big would you say these lights were?

well, it looked like two circle lights like if you would get were guess like 10 feet wide, 20 feet, 100 feet.

Speaker 3 5:29

Looked just literally like a car light.

Speaker 2 5:31

Really Mm-hmm, so small.

Speaker 3 5:33

Yeah, small.

Speaker 2 5:34

Two, okay, okay, yeah, all right.

So we stopped and just stared at it. Yeah, because that's odd.

Mm-hmm no sound.

Speaker 3 5:46

No sound. That's the other key thing. Okay, because again, there's nothing. There's no poles out there, it's just a field.

Just above the trees.

Speaker 3 5:53

Right above the trees. Two lights.

Speaker 2 5:55

Nothing above nothing. It just looks like two lights.

Speaker 3 5:58

Yeah, and you can't even see what it's attached to, because it was so dark.

Right right, pitch black, pitch black, Two lights okay, so we're just sitting there looking at it yeah.

And I wasn't afraid. Yeah, but you would think I would be. That's what's weird.

Speaker 2 6:13

A lot of people. Maybe it depends on what happens next. Yes, so what happened next?

Speaker 3 6:19

Then what happened? So we're staring at that and we're all trying to figure out why it's there. Sarah says is somebody playing a prank on us? And we're just all trying to hypothesize.

And they're not moving. They're just in the same spot, they're just hovering, yeah.

And then all of a sudden we said are they making any noise? I can't remember who said that I may have said it Right. And then kitty turned off the car to just to listen, and we did that and we heard nothing and that's all we remember.

Now go forward in time about 18 years okay I'm in an acting class because I mentioned I did acting. So in this acting class that I was in, it was standard practice. It you'd go rehearse your scene with your scene partner at his place or their place and then they'd come to yours.

So this time I had to go to his. I've done that a couple of times, so I get that yes.

So I had to go meet him at his apartment and practice the scene there. So I walk in and this guy's got UFO posters everywhere. He is a fan.

He's an enthusiast.

It's just everywhere. I'm cracking up Because by this time, you know, I'm a video producer during the day, I'm acting at night, I'm married at the time. I'm just, you know, like thinking this is kind of funny and kind of kitschy. So at some point in the evening, as we're rehearsing, I say, do you mind if I use your restroom? He goes, sure, I go in. And I kid you guys not.

While I'm in the bathroom, the memory of what I just told you just fell back into my being. I can't even explain to you. It went thump and I went huh, because I just was laughing at him being. I had no memory. And then all of a sudden my memory came back. So I come out of the bathroom and I'm freaking out. I'm like you know it was back in the days when we didn't have cell phones. I'm like, can I use your phone? Oh, yeah, sure. I called Kitty first, the oldest sister, and I went oh, my God, do you remember this, this, this, this and this? She goes, yeah, but not until now. I just remembered it. But not until now. I just remembered it. Okay, click, call Sarah. Sarah, do you remember this, this and this? Yeah, but not until now. Click, none of us remembered it until I remembered it, but as soon as I remembered it, they remembered it.

Hmm, now, that's interesting, it's weird.

And here's what's odd None of us remember where we went. I don't remember what happened after she turned off the engine. I don't remember going home, don't remember telling my mom and dad, don't remember telling any friends. I was a big mouth kid. Yeah, okay so.

You would have told everyone.

I would have been Right. I don't remember. None of us remember anything, so I, to this day, don't know, and this has been part of my thing as an adult. Ever since then I've been trying to figure out what happened. I've been trying to figure this out. I've I've researched this, I've I've reached out to different people who've had these encounters. So that's the initial thing that happened. Okay, so fast forward in time a little bit again. The year was about 2003 or 4. I'm out in Lake Altoona camping. We're at Top Mountain, so Poo-loo-loo-lee was there and I was camping with a friend and we were.

We got there late so we were setting up the tent kind of late and there was nobody else there and so the camp spot was just like there's a lake, I mean there's the spot, and then there's the lake, and then far beyond that is the Corps of Engineers. There's no homes there, so there's just trees. So we're literally putting up the tent and all this stuff. But you know, when you kind of notice something out of the corner of your eye, like's he was looking at me, we both at the same time turned and looked and they're racing from behind the trees over the water, just hovered. It's just a light, just single light, and then, just as fast as it came over, it went right back sounds very much like an orb.

Yeah, it was really weird so that's interesting because there are stories of almost like a mass hypnosis I say mass where a whole group of people will see something, and I'm sure there's a word for this, but it's not coming to my mind If it is like a mass hypnosis, that they see something and then everyone forgets about it and then later in life they all remember it. I've heard of that, oh about the earlier event.

Yeah, People that listen to this will. Probably someone will understand what this is. Cannot, that the term, the term cannot, will not come to me right now, but that is, that is something that happens to people. Um, that's interesting, my dad. That reminds me of a story my dad told.

My dad was never a big talker about supernatural stuff. He wasn't a big talker about his life anyway, but I remember him telling me a story. My dad, at one time when I was a kid, was a preacher and he would travel and preach in different towns, and one of his preacher friends he and his friend were traveling one night down this country road. I don't know what part of the country they were in, I don't remember that, but I remember him saying that they were driving down this road, it was just black, it was a country road, just dark. And in the distance they noticed a light in the sky, just a light, a ball of light, and they didn't think anything about it. It was a lot bigger than a star, big, big ball of light in the sky. And he said they were talking and driving, but as they got closer they noticed it would get bigger and bigger and bigger.

Turns out, what it was doing was getting closer to the Earth. So he said, they got so far, to where they both started noticing this light, this big ball of light, and eventually it just landed in the road in front of them. Not really transparent, just a ball of light. Okay great. So he said we didn't know what to do and we stopped the car. We did not go any further. No one else was on the road, but this ball of light. Imagine this pitch black country road fields on both sides, and in the middle of the road, this two-lane road, there's just a big light. What do you do? Try to go through it, get out and investigate. What do you do? It just sits there, nothing. No, no rhyme or reason now, that's a ufo and so it could be.

So he said what they did because they were preachers. I suppose they took it. They looked at each other and took it as a sign from god, saying we need to turn around and go the other way. Get back, go back. So they did it was such a strong influence on them at that moment that they turned around and went the other way. They just decided we can't go through it. And he said in the rear view they could see it go back up so what?

that is. I don't know, my dad's not one to talk about that stuff at all. I forget why he even talked about it.

That's very interesting, but I remember that story from him.

I've never experienced anything like that personally, what I have experienced one time. This is in an introductory episode of the podcast. Yes, I talked about having a few really mind-blowing incidents in my life. The ghost as a kid was one, and another one was I was working, uh, as an electrician. I was where. I was a young electrician working with another electrician. I was the. I was driving the truck, the service truck.

It was a rainy morning. We were backing out of the shop, the shop backed up the front of the entrance of the shop that we worked at, backed up onto a fairly busy road. So you had to be careful backing out and look both ways to make sure no one hit you, that you had a clear spot to back out, a clear space, clear lane. So we did this. You did this routine every morning. So we did this. You did this routine every morning.

Well, one morning, I don't know, my mind was in space. I just wasn't thinking. I backed out rather quickly, just without thinking. I had him beside me and it was me sitting in the driver's side, and out of my peripheral I saw a truck coming, a pickup truck, just speeding down the road, and I backed, backed out into the road and there's no doubt it was going to hit me on my side hard, so much so to where I braced for impact. I remember grabbing the steering wheel and just there's nothing I can do at this point, I'm just ready for the impact. And the guy sitting beside me also noticed it and flinched. All this happened in a second right. It's very quickly.

But I swear, this is the weirdest thing. I swear to God, this was so weird. I the the truck. I saw it coming. I remember like I didn't really close my eyes, but I squinted and I braced for impact and at the moment of of impact I just felt this like rush, almost like wind blowing past you and nothing happened what did the guy say next to you?

oh, he was in shock too.

Speaker 2 15:33

He was just like what just happened. I said I don't know what just happened and the weird part is I don't, I can't tell you if I I never looked to the right to see if the truck was oh yeah but it was so weird that that happened so much where I had to stop for a minute and collect myself. I'm like what just happened to us? We should be smashed right now.

Speaker 2 15:53

Was it a truck? Was it my imagination? But he felt it too and I saw it. I saw it coming and I braced and then I just felt you feel that rush and nothing it's like a ghost child. Part of you is like did I die? Is this what happens when I you know you die? You're just sitting here like nothing happened.

That makes sense though because a lot of people have said that before where they've come out and hovered and it's crazy seeing themselves in one episode.

Now there have been some other things that have happened to me too, and one or a couple were extreme deja vu episodes which, to this day, one of them impacts me pretty hard if I talk about it. But those were, and there are a lot of people that share similar stories. That's why I wanted to hear your ghost story from last episode, that's why I wanted to hear your UFO story from this episode, and in the future we will have a lot more of these type stories. Um, you know, I'm hearing you talking to about your faith and I'm I am christian. Uh, now, when I was coming up, my my I used to call our family Freestyle Christian because we didn't really practice it. I, you know, subsequently went on to marry somebody who's Jewish was in his family for a while, came to really understand it culturally and from their point of view it was very interesting being in that family. But then I actually became this New Age wanderer. I mean I went to the Himalayas for a trek. I then I actually became this New Age wanderer. I mean I went to the Himalayas for a trek. I wanted to see if I could find God there. I went to Thailand to do meditation. You know I was seeking Let me just put it that way.

But I have now, funny enough, come back around to become a believer in Jesus Christ because of certain things that have happened, and it's funny to me because it was the last thing I wanted to believe honestly. So, um, but I've got a weird story about how that even came about. So I mean, I don't know. I've had a lot of paranormal stuff. I don't understand it. Um, it is weird when you do share it with other people and they haven't Um, but it just is what it is. I just got to deal with it.

Speaking of your Christian faith, our next episode, if everything lines up correctly, we will have a preacher on. He's a preacher of the Christian faith, and one thing I want to pick his brain about is the UFO phenomenon that you and I have been talking about in this episode. In my opinion, the Bible has several places in it that talk about UFOs. For sure, yeah, for sure, from fiery chariots to the Nephilim.

Of course you could go back to the chariots of fire in the sky. You could go back to angels traveling around, coming out of the sky, coming down to earth as much as people that are of the Christian faith like to not everyone, I'm not going to put everyone in the same boat, but there are a lot of them that if you start talking to them about ufos and premonitions and other supernatural phenomena, they want to automatically tell you oh, that's not, that's not what I believe. But you kind of do.

You kind of do you believe in a god, you believe in a christ that comes down from the sky, you believe that he's ascended back you believe that you believe a lot of the similar things that people claim to see, just maybe not in the same, maybe not with the same character that you believe in, but there have been a lot of people that have believed in similar things. By the way, other faiths are very similar to the christian faith, which leads me to believe that a lot of people in history saw a lot of similar things. So there's got to be something to the UFOs, there's got to be something to spirits. When you have biblical characters fighting demons who just will rip through you like you're nothing, that's interesting.

It is interesting and I agree with you, Billy, because you know, you just touched on it and I think this is what's so funny. We have all of these films and stuff from Star Wars to you know that talk about this fight between good and evil. I mean, to me the Bible is, now that I've become more familiar with it it's been seven years since I've been saved but the more I read it, the more it's so supernatural. It's the most amazing supernatural kind of book that there is. So it's funny that you're saying this about this, because a lot of times Christians, they want to close down, but if you think about the rapture, if that isn't going to blow your mind, I don't know what would, Because that's going to be a game changer and there are so many things I feel like that are happening beyond the scene that actually the unseen the bible talks about the unseen being much more real than the scene.

Yeah, so you know, once you kind of you know, allow yourself to be open to that I would, oh yeah, speaking of our UFO, keeping to our UFO theme, I would argue that aliens themselves, or that angels themselves, are aliens of some sort. They would be. Anything that comes from another universe or from another spot in space in the heavens is not of this world.

These are things that I've seen biblically. They have in the and the. The bible talks about dinosaurs, ghost spirits, witches, aliens, ufos. Spirits, witches, aliens, ufos, zombies. It talks about everything it really does. It really does. It talks about all that. I would even say that a lot of movies that are made get their ideas from the faiths, from the different faiths, whether it's the Quran, the Bible, hinduism. All of these things add to the mystique of the life that we live and that people find interesting. So, christy, I want to thank you for being on the show today.
