This week, we're heading to Holloway's Pumpkin Patch—where the pumpkins are plump, the prices are unbeatable, and the fertilizer is...suspiciously fresh. When Cody and Mindy Chen venture into an abandoned patch two weeks before Halloween looking for the perfect jack-o'-lantern, they discover that some crops have a hunger all their own.

What starts as a simple errand turns into a nightmare of writhing roots, rolling gourds with human faces, and the horrifying realization that this season's bumper crop needed very special nutrients to grow so large. And now that Cody has touched one of the pumpkins, they know his scent. They know where he lives. And they're always looking for next year's fertilizer...
