The Sin Consciousness Trap

What if everything you've been taught about being a "sinner saved by grace" is actually keeping you in spiritual bondage? In this passionate, thought-provoking episode, Sean and John challenge one of Christianity's most deeply entrenched teachings—the belief that believers remain sinners even after salvation.
The Gospel Twins explore how religious traditions have created what they call a "quagmire"—a complex, difficult situation that traps believers in perpetual shame and sin-consciousness. Drawing from Hebrews 10 and other powerful passages, they make a compelling case that Christ's declaration "It is finished" wasn't just His final breath but His announcement that the sacrificial system had ended forever.
Responding to a viral clip where a popular pastor proudly calls himself "a sinner," Sean and John offer a radically different perspective: you are not a sinner with occasional moments of righteousness—you are righteous with occasional moments of sin. This fundamental shift in identity isn't just theological hairsplitting; it's the difference between living in freedom versus remaining spiritually imprisoned by what Christ already conquered.
The brothers distinguish between sin (missing the mark) and iniquity (not knowing what the mark is), explaining how Christ has removed our iniquity by reconciling humanity to God. They challenge listeners to reconsider their self-perception, arguing that calling yourself a sinner after salvation fundamentally misunderstands the New Covenant and denies Christ's completed work.
Ready to break free from the prison of sin consciousness? This episode will challenge your thinking, renew your mind, and help you embrace your true identity as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Welcome to The Gospel Twins
Speaker 1This is the Gospel Twins, with your hosts, sean and John, your go-to podcast for the kingdom perspective on current events and the good news God has for the culture. Get ready to renew your mind, one piece at a time.
Speaker 2People of God. People of God, welcome to the Gospel Twins podcast. When you get your mind renewed piece by piece and episode by episode, I am sean and I am john and we are the gospel twins never get old bro.
Speaker 4No, what's going on bro, hey man we're here to bring joy, man, and, uh, bring people to freedom. Yes, yes, that's the mission, man, that's the mission for freedom.
Speaker 2Christ came to set us free, bro yes, because it's true, it's too many traditions got us in jail, man, oh man. Too many traditions, man, we gotta, we gotta get out of jail, we gotta help people get out of jail you got to man dude we got a prison, rather prison that's right.
Speaker 4Prison, man, jail, jail, you can get bailed out prison. Yeah, you gotta serve. You gotta serve your your sentence, man and bro, that's, that's that's over. That sentence has been been paid in full, man and uh, yeah, we're free, bro, we're free.
Speaker 2Uh, one day, I hope you. Um, it was a teaching you did back in the day, man, a couple years ago, and you said jesus did it all, he did it, he did everything. I don't know if you remember that teacher man. Okay, I. I have to know I have the notes from it oh yeah, because I think you should bring that into the gospel 12 podcast, because we need to stop praying for things that jesus already took.
Speaker 4Oh, man, I mean because he did it all. He did everything. He literally did it all, bro. I mean before he left, before he literally paid, uh, that ultimate price on the cross. Before he did it, he said it is finished. That should reverberate, man, in our spirit. It does through the corridors of history in heaven, but it should reverberate through our hearts and spirits, man, that it is finished. It's what he was literally saying.
Speaker 4Everything that has happened from when adam disobeyed the father and and and threw us into this situation, that I've lived this life, I've come, I've did everything that the father has required, and now this is the culmination of it all Me paying the ultimate price for the sin of the world. He doesn't say sins of the world, he doesn't say sins, sin, the iniquity, the inequity that we were thrust into by Adam Unwillingly. We weren't there. Adam threw us into that all by himself. And just like he threw us into it and ransomed us off to the enemy all alone, christ came and, by himself, redeemed us and paid the price for that. Our freedom isn't free. He paid the ransom, he paid the price for a man with his own life and he said it's over, it's. It literally means it is finished, means it has been accomplished.
Speaker 4What is the? What? The will of my father, the the payment that was? He wasn't in. He wasn't transacting that deal with the devil, bro. He was transacting that with the father. I'm paying the price for all the wrath that is stored up for the same that we've been catapulted in by by not of any of us of our own wills, bro. We weren't. We had nothing to do with it. And why do we think we got everything to do with the redemptive part? Yeah, man, the veil was ripped, bro, from the top to the bottom. That means the father ripped it. He ripped it we. We didn't rip it. He ripped it to get out from being separated from his people, us mankind, his children and the holy spirit is poured upon every, all man, every man.
Christ Did It All: It Is Finished
Speaker 4All flesh, bro, all flesh. The Holy Spirit being poured out is not to make us holy. We have the right to have him because we've been made holy. You can receive the Holy Spirit because you are holy, not because he comes. Let him receive him so he can make you holy. We're not arbitrarily. God is not making people holy and saving people on a case by case basis. You come into an altar to confess your sin before God is not getting him to forgive you. Paul said while we were yet sinners, bro, while we were yet enemies of the cross of God, christ reconciled us to him the veil was ripped and the temple was destroyed destroyed destroyed, bro, and Paul says now you are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 4The fact is, paul said don't you know that? You know, don't, is it? Why don't you, why you don't realize that? And we're looking for this future event when there is no Temple to be for God to dwell in, and we're the ones we're the Temple of God and and we're the ones we're we're the temple of god and man we should be, happy about that. Could you imagine, bro? Could you imagine?
Speaker 2what you know, getting upset with your wife and you're like, oh man, I got to find an animal man and take it up there and get it sacrificed. Oh, my man, I cut somebody out at the light. Oh, let me find an animal, right, come on, come on, right.
Speaker 4Let me look that squirrel. Hey man, jump out the whip, go get that squirrel. I got to do something. I got to sacrifice. I got to do this to get my sins cleansed. Who wants to live like that, bro, that is such a burden man, that is so heavy. How could you ever have peace and joy in your heart always like that?
Speaker 2you know, as the animal lover, I couldn't even imagine you know, just you know to deal with the blood and then also the conscious having the conscious dealing with killing this animal is having to pay for the price of me, of my anger against my wife yeah and something innocent had to die for me, yeah, and I gotta kill it, I gotta take it for it to be sacrificed ah
Speaker 4yeah, man. So that's my responsibility to get the animal, it's my responsibility to take it where it needs to go and it's my responsibility to get it killed, and so I can be forgiven and dude. We are still doing it to this day. This is that. What do you think alter calls are? What do you think? Going, uh, to confessionals with, with priests and, and sitting in those things and confessing your, your sins, and them giving you some type of penance or do a hundred of these or whatever, based on the severity At first, who are you to even judge? How can you tell what's appropriate for what I did? You know, we're still sacrificing, bro. We're still sacrificing it. We're just doing it a different way, and it's worse because they're spiritual sacrifices, even worse than physical ones yeah but yeah, you know, we know.
Speaker 4James 5, 16 tell us to confess our sins to one another one another, the sins that we can pray and not be forgiven, but to be healed. It's our sin confession and we're confessing the sin of commission, something that we've done. It's not who we are. The iniquity is gone. We don't have a sinful nature. We're not born in sin. Bro's, that's over, it's over.
Speaker 4But yeah I'm sorry about that. No man, dude, we, we might as well get, we might as well rip the, rip the bandaid off like that. Go ahead and set that up, man.
Speaker 2Okay, I'm pretty sure people you know about Pastor Phillip Anthony Mitchell Pastor's on fire. People love his message. His church is growing, forever growing. I mean, during the week man, I probably, people probably send me maybe three videos a week of his teachings.
Speaker 4Yeah, Come across my feed on a regular man because the algorithm know I'm. I look at a lot of spiritual stuff and it's seeing he's the one that's on fire, like online. So I get a lot of stuff on my feed.
Speaker 2Yeah, like online, so I get a lot of his stuff on my feet. Yeah, and, sisters and brothers, he's like man. Listen to this man, what you think about this and how you feel about this, and majority I would say 95% of the videos that I receive from this brother is about saying consciousness. I said nature yeah, we're born in the sin we're sinners right yeah, we're sinners and so on.
Speaker 2We are here to to remind you that jesus died for our sins and that we and we should all we need to also recognize that we are saints yes and everybody after jesus is sacrificed, and everybody after jesus sacrificed, we're reconciled unto the father, and so we shouldn't just like uh, I was using an example like um, it's actually the same example that pastor miles used to say you know, just driving around the city and you don't just think about you know, violating, stop going to pass a stop sign or stop by, you know like oh, you try to avoid everything, like man, I don't want to go to jail or I don't want to get this ticket.
Speaker 2I mean I don't think that's on people's mind when they operate through the city, just like we should think about seeing when we operate through the kingdom absolutely and so yeah, so I want to play this, this video, this clip. Uh, I hope you can hear it. I'm going to try and play it loud as I can and clear as possible. So here we go. This is a clip from Philip Anthony Mitchell, and in the video, the heading of the video says stop lying to me in church. I'm not awesome, I'm a sinner.
Speaker 3Here we go. I don't want to be in a church where they tell me I'm awesome every week lies not awesome, I am a sinner. I still got issues. I'm still trying to be a better husband and father. Don't tell me I'm awesome every week. Tell me I'm nasty. Tell me I need to repent. Tell me I need to change. Tell me what this word says. I know I'm not the only one who get a flashback of his past. I remember driving home drunk from the club, unsaved. I remember being in shootouts in the street. I'm saying I remember when the bullet grazed my right ear. I'm saying I remember all the times I could have died and been separated from God, eternally lost in hell. But I remember the day in the bathroom when I was suicidal, when God threw me to himself and snatched me from the fires of hell and you could do nothing to be saved on your own. Your good behavior could not save you, your church attendance could not save you. You were saved by the mercy and grace of Christ alone.
Speaker 2I don't want to be in a church man, and then he hands it to up and we're saved by christ, that you can't, that you can't do anything to save yourself.
The Temple Is Destroyed, You Are The Temple
Speaker 4And, bro, and and that's the thing, he, he, absolutely right. But you, just, you just, but you just, you just, man, you just, oh, you just shot your own self in the foot with that. At the end, you're making a case that we're sinners and that we're not awesome and we're not this, and tell me I'm nasty, tell me that I need to repent and all of this stuff. But then he realized that I'm not, you can't do anything to save yourself, and it's by grace, it's by the blood. So then, what was all that before that? Then, either he did it all, he did nothing at all, bro, it's. This is how the kingdom, this is how it is.
Speaker 4The reality is either christ did it all or he did nothing at all oh man, that really bothers my spirit, and somebody was weeping to hear that man an image bearer and a person filled with the holy spirit confess that over their life that they're, that they're sinners and they nasty right and confess it over your life and getting thousands of people to say amen to that meaning. I am in totally agreement of what you just said, and that means you by, by default and by the way of your agreement, confess the same you know who look and you know who loves to hear that.
Speaker 2Satan loves it and you talk about a packed church man, people wrapped around the building. You think he's concerned with that message.
Speaker 4No, no, no, he loves that, bro. He wants, he loves the. What is the one thing that he wants you to believe? That he still has a hold on you through sin. You're not good enough. You're not good, right, you are not good enough. You're not good, right, you're. You are not good enough. You are not. And here's the thing You're not good enough in of yourself. And here's, and here's, here's, the trap.
Speaker 4Yes, we could not save ourselves. We're not we. We weren't good enough to do it. It couldn't be done. We were unable to, because we were the prisoners, we were the ones that were trapped. Christ came, he died for us.
Speaker 4And now that we've been reconciled to God, yes, we're in him, just like we were all in Adam, thank you. But now that we're in him, we're all redeemed to the father, we're all reconciled to God. The problem is we haven't reconciled the father to us. That's what that brother is struggling with. Tell me I'm nasty.
Speaker 4Well, the only reason that you think that is because you have not reconciled the image of a father. You haven't reconciled him to you. You've been reconciled to him, but you haven't reconciled him to you. You've been reconciled to him, but you haven't reconciled him to you. You don't see yourself the same way he sees you. You don't see. Yeah, you think you're. You're a son. And that word adoption is throwing us to because we think, well, we're no good, we were just the redheaded stepchild that God loved enough and through his mercy he adopted us, but we're just still the wretched one. He just adopted us legally as his children and that's why he said the spirit of adoption, not the actual. You are really my children, but you have been so separated that it's the spirit of adoption that you have to reckon with that, that you're fully mine, you are my image, you are my likeness, you are awesome, you, you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You. You're just like me.
Speaker 4What do we do king, what do we do king?
Speaker 2one. One thing we can do is keep coming on this microphone and keep on preaching the kingdom and let us um and reminding everybody we are image bearers. That means so much that's everything, bro you know, uh, having a and being a dwelt with the holy spirit, that means so much, I mean you're saints, you are literally sanctified. The five you're satisfied we talked about all this other crap, man. We talked about the blood of innocent animals, man.
Speaker 4We animals, man, we and we uh, the lamb, the lamb of christ man, the holy lamb of god, that takes away, way the sin of the world. Take, he takes it away, bro, and, and, and here. And what was the scripture that the brother used on that? On that clip? Let me see it was?
Speaker 2let me see, I think it was james, let me see. Let me pull him up again. Oh, that was jude, jude one three jude, jude three.
Speaker 4Okay, what, what do you have? Can you? Yeah, yeah, yeah, can you do that? Yeah?
Speaker 2yeah, beloved. While I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you, exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints that was all delivered to the saints, not sinners, not the sinners. And the saints to saints, oh yeah, not the sinners. The saints.
Speaker 4The saints, oh yeah, the ones who have given their life to Christ. That are the saints, okay. Well, that's not who he's writing to. He's not writing to sinners or who would be considered those who haven't received Christ. He's writing this to the saints Yep, content for the faith that was once delivered. Why? Because these people were called out saints. They're after the resurrection, the death burial, resurrection and ascension of Christ.
Speaker 4And the Jews of that day who were still fighting against the message of Christ, the kingdom and the cross. They were fighting that message and they were still sacrificing animals and everything for sin. And Jude is saying you you don't get caught back up into that Judaism, into that religion, to contend for the. I wanted to originally write to you about this common salvation we have, man, so because the one that Paul said we need to be working out with fear and trembling. That's what I wanted to write, so a joyful letter. But I'm finding that I have to to write this that you contend earnestly for the faith that was once committed to you and don't fall back into that trap. Do you know how easy it is if you've been doing this? Has been indoctrinated in you through generations. Man, you think you can just walk away from that and it doesn't that you're not drawn back. It doesn't that you're not drawn back to that, that you're not drawn back to needing to go to this place, uh, where we're all gathered together to bring offerings for sin and sing hymns and everything to to Yahweh, uh, to to position ourselves right with him. You don't think that there's an addiction there. There's an indoctrination there. It's all you've ever known. And now you've been told that you don't have to do that.
Speaker 4Jesus told the woman at the well when she was like well, the Jews say that you got worship in Jerusalem. My people say you worship here at the mountain, at Jacob's well, at the mountain where Jacob's well is. And Christ said listen, the days are coming where you're not going to worship God in the temple, you're not going to worship God in no mountains. You're going to worship God in spirit and in truth, and the fathers that's what he seeks that can worship him in spirit. You think that God wants you to wait till you can get to a place. Your life is a worship to God. It's the gifts he gives you. You enjoy it. Paul said he gave us all things richly to enjoy.
Speaker 2I'm reading right now. I'm reading Romans 6.6, bro 6.6, 6. Yeah, I'm reading right now. I'm reading Romans 6.6, bro 6.6, 6.12. I mean 6.7. This will pause to the Romans Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin, for he who has died has freed us from sin. But yeah, yeah, we sinners sinners.
Speaker 4He freed us from sin bro yeah, we still constant and yet we still call ourselves.
Speaker 4You can't be walking with god. You get and, bro. Here's the thing Our emotions are real, our passions are real, so don't deny him. I listened to this brother man, and tell the truth. Tell me the truth, king. When you listen to this brother, I mean, yes, we're to the point now where we have grown beyond that, so now it's more of a compassion thing. But you're telling me, when you don't, when you listen to stuff like this or listen to them old songs or whatever you don't feel your heart kind of tugging back towards, towards that a little bit wanting to connect with it. Yeah, you don't ever feel yourself wanting to amen some of that stuff.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, I catch myself man.
Speaker 4So I avoid it. So I avoid it, right, right, I just right, I just don't even put myself in that situation because my emotions are still attached to that man I have. I have memories of being in church and and enjoying that, and, and, and crying, and enjoying that and crying, you know, over my sin and all that man. The shame, the warm blanket of shame, is what my brother Ray calls it about being in sin man. We just love to cuddle up like a comforter, not the Holy Spirit being the comforter, but that blanket of shame that, oh, I should be ashamed of myself for that, lord, and oh, forgive me for that. And crying out and the Lord, I don't, bro, I do not want to hear that.
Speaker 4And this is why, in Hebrews 4, when he says you come boldly to the throne and obtain mercy, lord, I can't believe I did my bad. That was, that is not who I am. I shouldn't have cussed that person out. I shouldn't have slapped them across the face the way that I did that. And he said obtain mercy and find the grace you need to help in your time of need. What's the grace, man? Whatever to deal with, whatever just happened that took you out of the inheritance that you have, man the prodigal son. When he came home, bro, the father didn't want to talk about all the debauchery and stuff he got into. It was celebration time it was celebration man.
Speaker 4he said throw the goat, killed about it, get the ring, put the sandals on him, have a party bro.
Speaker 2Let's do this.
Speaker 4He was trying to rehearse. Father, I've sinned against you and heaven. He ignored that. He ignored that. And we want to be servants more so than we want to be sons, because we want to feel the flesh, wants to feel it paid the price to be back in good standing I want to say this, I feel the need to say this we're not attacking this brother at all.
Speaker 4No, we're attacking we're attacking the message yes, yes we are contending for we're contending for the faith that was committed to the saints. Bro, the we're free. We, we love this brother, man, this is man. We talk about this. We've prayed for this brother, we love him. We talk about this stuff off the air but, like you said, people sending you this stuff and it's coming across my feed and all this stuff, man, because he's getting the traction, bro, he, every generation, has some, a voice that comes up to bring the sin consciousness back and that's back into that culture and that's by design.
Speaker 4Yes that is, the enemy is behind that man. You know how, in the parable, when Jesus said you know when men slept, you know it was good seed that was sown and then tares grew up among the field and when people woke up they said Master, I thought you sowed good seed in this field and these tares. He said an enemy did this. Why men slept. They came in and sold this.
Speaker 4When you have people, the leadership that's sleeping and letting stuff come up and not feeling need, they need to go, pull the coattail of somebody and bring them back into a place of, of, of truth. This is what you have and and people let the passion and the emotion and because and this brother is on fire, he's serious about this, he literally feels he is carrying this burden to bring to this generation and you really are bringing you, you're playing right into the hands of the enemy, bro and I love that you were used to wear a burden because, like before we get on the microphone, I did a Google search, an image search, and most of the pictures I was uh, 95 of the pictures.
Speaker 2I like that use that number because it's high but, he looked conflicted he looked troubled and he looked burdened. I always saw one picture he was smiling and he was with his wife. But other than that when he was on stage and we was behind, behind the podium, he was looking conflicted, troubled and burned wow, and that is not the righteousness, peace and joy of the kingdom.
Speaker 4No, you know what that is. That is the indicative posture of christianity, dude, that's. It's no other way to put it. Fam yeah, christianity is is a problem, bro, it is. I'm not saying I am in in in people of god. Hear me, when we we say Christianity, we are not synonymously saying Christian. If somebody call you a Christian or you call yourself a Christian because you're identifying with Christ being the one who you follow and your identification is with him and he's your king, then fine, use the word Christian. But Christianity, christianity is no more Christian than Judaism is.
Speaker 4Jew, a Jewish person is there from the tribe of Judah, though they call them Jews, that's. And even though they weren't all from Judah, they was just considered Jewish because that is just how that name took over in that day. But Judaism was what they were giving themselves to and that was the sacrificing. That was the scribes and the Pharisees and the Sadducees and all that. And what's the word of the big? What's the word that you came up with yesterday for quagmire? Quagmire, it's just a big quagmire of crap, of religious and traditional practices that a bunch of people have to try and do to be right with God in their eyes.
Speaker 2And these traditions just pass down and pass down. And what I love about the information age, the information is out there. It's there and I've been waking up daily on new information. Um, just recently, I shared with john a brother, matt mcmillan. We talked about uh yeah not feeling condemned about going to a church building and um I look him up.
Speaker 2His name is matt mcm McMillan he talks about. He gives 10 what 10 reasons why it's not. It's not biblical to go to a building, and you know you might not agree with everything, but mm-hmm but you can't dispute.
Speaker 4You can't dispute the, the scriptural truth and the receipts that he's getting not at all and he doesn't condemn if you, just if you choose.
Speaker 2No, you can do that absolutely. You know he doesn't condemn him, but he just gives the origins of you. Know all these traditions, where they come from?
Speaker 4where they came from. Absolutely yeah, so wow.
Speaker 2Yeah, I just.
Speaker 4Everything has an origin story, man, and it's like you said, in the information age we are without excuse, bro, yeah. We are without excuse man.
Speaker 2And I want to give a shout out to my brother, darren man, who prepared me. I would never know man. You know my brother was a brainiac, he was just a walking encyclopedia. Wow act he? He just, he was just a walking encyclopedia, wow, and and I also.
Speaker 4I like to praise my mom for buying this a encyclopedia set, but there there in the day that was huge, bro.
Speaker 2It was like having a computer yeah, right, yeah or and or not having to go to the library I just had everything I needed was in my home and and I would, uh, and I was inquisitive, I asked questions all the time and but my brother like, nah, man, look it up, look it up. He always, he would never he, he had the answers right there, he had it in his head yeah, we didn't? He always encouraged me because he look it up, man look it up, man, man, I love that man, I love that.
Speaker 2Shouts out to your brother Dan man, now that we're in the information age, I do that now and it stuck with you.
Speaker 4Yeah, you forever doing research, bro, and that's one of the things I love about you, man, is you do the research, man. And I remember, man, back in the day, a few years ago, when me and you reconnected online and it was more so through the kingdom message, man and um and dude, you, you started telling me, man, because we was both heavy into miles, monroe, and you were saying, man, that you listened to, you know the stuff that I was saying online. But, bro, what, man, that you listen to, you know the stuff that I was saying online. But, bro, what I loved is that you, you always did your research about what was being said. And that is the nobility that the that the Holy Spirit commends.
Confessing Sins vs. Living in Freedom
Speaker 4In scripture, man, he, he literally says that about the Berean church and Acts, I think, 17, when he says that they were more noble than the people of Thessalonica. That doesn't mean they're not more saved, they're not more sanctified, they're not more redeemed, but they were more noble because it said everything that Paul said and Paul was sent by God. We see that in scripture, an apostle, special apostle, god. We see that in scripture, an apostle, special apostle, handpicked by Jesus, and he said but the people of Berea. He gave them a commendation of nobility, he said because they searched the scriptures. They said they had a readiness of mind to hear what Paul had to say. But they searched the scriptures daily to see if what he was saying was true. And I want to believe you, bro, it sounds good. Right, I want to believe that, bro. But they had to search the scriptures. What did anything? Was the scriptures ever prophesied about something like this coming? And? And they, and they, the holy spirit, said they were noble for that yeah, uh, you know what I was saying.
Speaker 2I'm glad that my brother was an enabler man.
Speaker 4Yeah, dude, that is, that's the worst. That's the worst and um.
Speaker 2But you know one thing about that, about doing the research, because you sometimes wouldn't give the scripture, you would say it but I wouldn't know this, bro. Yeah, and I was like right oh, I was now looking it up right, absolutely miles as well he would do the same, and so uh, but people got it.
Speaker 4The information is there you got a fact check man.
Speaker 2You have to, you have to and also too, like when he was saying um matt McMillan. He said do your research. He said don't just listen to what I say, just do your research. And then you make the decision if you want to continue to do what you do.
Speaker 4Amen.
Speaker 2I would like to go to a church that preaches the kingdom. I would too, absolutely, but I don't miss being a member. You know what I'm saying. I don't miss being a member. You know what I'm saying. I don't miss the membership I'm a give when I give. You know what I'm saying. But I don't miss being a member of a something.
Speaker 4Absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 2Because we are the body of Christ Like you and I. We haven't actually seen it right now. We haven't actually seen it. No, we don't see it right now.
Speaker 4That is absolutely right there and and christ is here, he's in the midst, because you got wherever two are gathered in, two or three in my name and my character and my nature and my authority.
Speaker 4There I am in the midst. But, man, how can you be somewhere? How can you be somewhere and and are saying the opposite of what Christ said? You are not agreeing with what he said and think he's in. You're not gathered together in his name, you're not in his character. How can you be in his character and you calling yourself a sinner? Is Christ a sinner? How can you be in his nature? If your nature is a sinner, is that Christ's nature?
Speaker 2Hey, I have a question. So, like Matt McMillan was talking about, you know a lot of churches take the scripture and just run away with it and teach it in error.
Speaker 3Hebrews 10, 25, do not forsake the assembly of the saints and that brings so much condemnation, man, if you don't go to church if you don't go to the assembly.
Speaker 4Yes, my father used to say it to me all the time. He used to say it to me. He's like son, I just want to see you get back in church, get back. I mean, okay, wait, alright, I'm sorry, I just hit my mic, bro, get back in church, get back. I mean, okay, wait, all right, I'm sorry, I just hit my mic, bro, get back in church. I never left the. I'm, I am the church, I'm part of the church. I don't get back into the. You mean, go back to the building where all of the believers are gathered together in in the building. That's what you're saying. To go back to church.
Speaker 4Well, don't forsake the assembling of yourselves, as some is, and listen to what he says. Also, he says, as some are, as we see, the day approaching. What day approaching was he talking about? See, you just took a scripture and just ironed it on to every generation. This is applicable to every single person, and this is again by not doing the research, not understanding that the scriptures were not written to us. They were written for us. So is there a principle there that we can extract 100%? Was Paul talking to us right then when he said that 100%? No, there was a day that was approaching that Paul was specifically talking about. There's a judgment coming, why? Because look at what's happening. Christ has already paid the price for sin and, by and large, god's people are still going to this temple and sacrificing animals for sin.
Speaker 2Thank God it was destroyed, man Jeez.
Speaker 4Thank God, because if that temple still stood, bro, we'd still be doing it. We'd be making pilgrimages to believers, we'd be making pilgrimages to israel with our sacrifices, bro, once a year. Just think about that. Just think about that. So how many animals could we could carry over there man, how much would that cost to? Oh my god, I don't even know how that will, I don't even know what. What we would probably do, like where Jesus wound up tipping over the table. Yeah changes.
Speaker 4We'd be, they'd be growing it and doing it. They'd be a billion, trillion dollar industry over there and we'd we'd be, yeah, we'd be caring, taking our money and purchasing it when we got there and and taking it to the temple and yeah, and, and it would be. His house would be, uh, just like, uh, he said, a den of thieves. It would. It wouldn't be a house of prayer, bro, it would be. It's a marketplace. It would be a trillion, multi-trillion dollar a year industry just think about that.
Speaker 4People like I just think about that, just think about that man, you know and in these end times they're talking about, they're supposed to be coming, bro, a temple would have to be rebuilt and people would have to start back doing animals, which is what they say is supposed to happen. When you read the book of revelation, it's this is sad that literally the book says satan and revelations and it wouldn't talk about us, but it applies that satan literally deceived the whole world, bro, the whole world, and he's still doing it. And he's doing it through messages like this You're still a sinner, christ didn't. His blood didn't pay for everything, and you're not reconciled to God until you come to this altar and say this prayer and then you're not. You're not, you're just reconciled, but you're still. You're still the nappy headed redhead stepchild that he really didn't want, but he's going to accept you because of Jesus. And and here's the thing every that's right, it's because of Jesus. And here's the thing that's right, it's because of Jesus.
Speaker 4Okay, but once we've been now, through his blood, reconciled as a race, as the human race been reconciled to our father, he now Jesus, said the father loves you just as much as he loves me.
Speaker 4You don't have to hide behind jesus, you can literally stand at his side with your head, hang on high and look at the father full on in the face as the righteousness of god, yeah, in christ jesus, yes, just like we were. The unrighteousness of god of God in Adam, yes, christ is our progenitor, but not that I've been born, not again, just born into the world. That Christ is the light that lights every man now that comes into the world, just like Adam was the light of darkness that lit every man until Christ. Christ is the one who lights every man. But what about the, the things, the evil things that still happen and stuff? Because we are still in bondage to a sin consciousness and whatever a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If you think you're a sinner in your heart, you're gonna behave like a sinner it's so sad, bro me down.
Speaker 2bro, I ain't gonna lie to you.
Speaker 4Dude, we are normally laughing, yeah, having fun, because we normally, like Jude said, want to come and bring to you the common wealth of our salvation that we can be joyful about. But now, because of what's going on, we have to come and bring a message. The very, the very scripture he's using as a platform is actually what we're doing against the message that he's brought. If this is not Satan at his, at his most, he will literally use the scripture that is condemning you is the one that you want to stand on. Yeah, dude, this dude is a master at deception, bro and that brother, that brother.
Speaker 2Uh, philip mitchell is a good brother man, he is man.
Speaker 4Look at his heart, you know it. He is being exploited. He's being exploited by the enemy, but there, as the script, as solomon said, there's nothing new under the sun. In ecclesiastes he said the father, what has been, will be, and what ha? What will be has already been. The father requires what is past. What he's saying in that script is that, just if things, things are going to always repeat itself, if it's going to, if you, that is a requirement that God has built into the creation. If, if it, if you continue to do what's good, you're going to constantly, always reap, good, it's going to happen. If you continue to do evil, evil is going to always be the result. God is not mocked Whatsoever. A man sows that shall he also reap.
Analyzing Pastor Mitchell's Sin Consciousness Message
Speaker 4These people are saying the same thing in scripture, man. They're just saying it different ways, but it's all the same principle. It's all this because truth is truth. Yeah, man, and this is sad, bro, this is. And why do we feel such a a compassion? It's not a bird, it's a burden, but it's light. Because jesus said but look, man, my yoke is easy, my burden is light, but we're always smiling and laughing, bro, we go through trials of life, just like everybody else. We have calamities, and and challenges and tragedies happen. But we, what do we do? We call each other up on the phone and we do what james says. We confess our faults to each other and, and, or we laugh our way through it and we talk our way back into our joy. But we don't ignore the fact that we have problems, bro, right, you know, we have financial issues, just like physical, financial, emotional. We have all the same problems that everybody else I have, bro yeah, I was, uh, at work.
Speaker 2I was talking to a few coworkers because they was. I had a few coworkers get mad at me about something I did and it wasn't. It wasn't. It wasn't bad. What happened is I was I felt I felt led to run some parts during my break.
Speaker 2And because I felt that our numbers were behind, because something I did, a decision I made. So I took it upon myself to run a few extra parts during the break and I go back there and run a few parts and as I run in parts, I realized that my assemblers that you know, I'm the tech of the line which I you know, I'm the one that keeps the line running.
Speaker 2But I had two assemblers that build parts and when I was back there running the parts, I realized that they were using bad parts they were rusted materials, and so I had to bring it to my boss' attention. I mean, that's my job. But my two assemblers felt that I was adding more work to their workload and they let me know about it. And one guy was upset with me and I was like you know, don't try to be nice. I'm like I'm always nice. I said. You know, my saying is the light shines brighter in the darkness. And that's what I'm doing right now. And but yeah, man, it just bro.
Speaker 2It was deep man, because one person that came after me was a sister man. Oh man. And I was like you know, I ain't got no ill will in my heart like that you know, I don't know, I ain't no bad attention, so like of course, I apologize yeah, so um you know, yeah, go ahead, man.
Speaker 4No, man, I mean dude, it's just. It's just that man is, you know, you know that, you know your heart, and there was no intent, no ill intent there. And but why, but why was that the concept of your colleagues though?
Speaker 2what did I was? I had ill intent in my heart yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4Why was that bit? They know you, man. They know that that's not who you are. Why would? Why do they fall back to that?
Speaker 2Yes, they deceive man. I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 4It is because it, because their heart condemns them, because that's what they see first. They see, they see that first and when, when? When people read this, when they hear when jesus says love, love god with all your heart, all your might, all your soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Dude, he's in three things in that you gotta love god with everything and in you doing that, you're gonna love yourself with everything, and in you doing that, you're going to love yourself with everything. And then, because of that, you're going to love others the same way People love others the way they love themselves.
Speaker 4They would, they see ill intent. They see what they, if they were to do something like that, they know that they it's a motive to them. You know it's ill intent. They know that it's a motive to them. You know it's ill intent. It's doing something that it has nothing to do with you, just taking on responsibility and wanting to try and and get things back up to speed, as you, as you, as you said, you know taking your break to do that, because I ain't doing that. You know what I mean Like that. So what's your? What's your motive? You know it can't just be a righteous motivation. What is it? Because that they're perpetuating, they're imposing onto you their own realities, their own insecurities, whatever the case may be, for their lack of love for themselves, bro. So, dude, I, I mean, I want to read some of this. Hebrews 10, bro. Okay, uh, because it's, it's, I mean, it's a little bit of a reading, but you know.
Speaker 4Just just to put it, just to get it in perspective, bro. Okay, I'm gonna read this, all right, so. All right, bro, so I do. I got a passage of scripture here I want to read. This is in Hebrews, chapter 10. It's from verse 1. And I'm going to just read People of God, you should read the whole thing. You really need to. I mean, get your Berean vibe on. Be like my man, higgs, do the research. But this is from the North American Standard Bible. This is that version. But this is from the North American Standard Bible. This is that version.
Speaker 4And the heading over this chapter says one sacrifice of Christ is sufficient. Some headings in different versions say Christ sacrificed once and for all. So verse one it says for the law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the form of those things itself, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually every year, make those who approach perfect. Otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers have once been cleansed with, no longer have had consciousness of sins? But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year, for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, when he comes into the world, he says they're talking about Jesus. You have not desired sacrifice and offering, but you have prepared a body for me. You have not taken pleasure in whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin. Then I said behold, behold, I have come. It is written of me in the scroll of the book.
Speaker 4King James says he's coming, the volume of the book to do your will, oh God, after saying, above sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin, you have not desired nor have you taken pleasure in them, which are offered according to the law. Then he said behold, I come to do your will. He takes away the first in order to establish the second. By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, time, once and for all time. Bro, how can you say that we he said he did it once, that we would be sanctified by the will of God. Bro, because of what Christ came to do? He said he was never, he never took pleasure in the desire and desire and desired those burnt offerings. And god was the first one to offer an animal sacrifice in the garden to cover up adam and eve they were naked yeah from that moment to christ, everything was be had to be covered through a burnt offering or offerings for sin some kind of way.
Speaker 4And if you go look at the Levitical law, they sacrifice vegetables and wines and things and perfumes and it's all. Was this stuff that had to be done to make to not reconcile you to God, just make it tolerable, for to have a relationship with him? Christ came to fully restore us back to sonship. That was lost in the garden. Through Adam's disobedience Romans talk about through one man's disobedience, we were all made sinners. Through one man's obedience we were all made. Many were made righteous. Bro, it's christ did it all.
Speaker 2Dude, everything so wasn't for all. So why are we still preaching that we're sinners?
Speaker 4though tradition, traditions of men, bro, and doctrines of devils, that second timothy, that paul talks about the timothy and he says that in the last days, which were theirs, not ours, paul never preached about end times. Paul preached about the time of the end, the end of the age. Jesus said to his disciples I'm going to preach this gospel. Don't be afraid, lo, I'm with you always, even to the end of the world. The end of the world, he meant the end of the age. What was going to be the end of the age of this, of this having to sacrifice, sent off this, this off animals for sin. This is over, this is the end of the age. And the final culmination of the end of the age is when the temple was destroyed and you could no longer do it. There you go, it's gone, it's over. That was the end, bro.
Speaker 4And after that said, and I'm making all things new, I'm not making all new things, I'm making all things new. I'm restoring, I'm reconstituting, I'm reestablishing the kingdom of God in the earth, bit by bit, little by little, and eventually it's going to take over the whole. Just like Daniel prophesied, this little rock that hit the earth turned into a big mountain that has taken over the whole earth. It's through influence, it's through impact that we're supposed to be reestablishing the kingdom, not through trying to get away in some rescue raptured mission out of here, but even in Christ, prayed in John 17, father, don't take them out of the earth. And even in christ, prayed in john 17, father, don't take them out of the earth, but just preserve them, keep them from the evil one. And we're constantly speaking and preaching everything against what jesus said through to traditions of men, because jesus said traditions of men make the Word of God non-effect.
Speaker 4When Jesus came, who did he had a beef with? Did he have beef with the people? But he had beef with the leadership man, religious people. It was the religious folk that he had beef with do. And he was like because you're supposed to be shepherding these people, y'all supposed to be teaching them how much God loves them not much, how much he wants to destroy them and how much wrath he wants to. And the judgment man.
Speaker 4If I see another tick tock video about how jesus getting ready to come back because of how bad stuff is getting, he would have been come back. If that was the case, bro, it's been worse times than these, way worse and if it's a cataclysmic event that was gonna bring christ back, like you said, long would it came back. Long would it came back, because these are not nearly the worst times that this earth has ever seen, bro, not nearly. It's just more people, that's it, that's all. That's all. It is more people, that's it, that's all. That's all. It is More people, more deceived people and more depression, because you got more people on the planet.
Speaker 4But, here's the thing, dude We've seen in scripture a time when everybody on the planet was saved and it didn't change anything. Just because everybody's saved doesn't mean anything. When God destroyed the earth man with change anything? Just because everybody's saved doesn't mean anything. When god destroyed when god destroyed the earth man with noah, it was eight people on the ark. All of them were considered righteous. They were all saved.
Speaker 2There was no other people left and just see these erroneous doctrines, man that's been preached, man and these traditions of men that's keeping us in the quagmire in the quagmire bro.
Speaker 4Do you got a definition of quagmire bro?
Speaker 2oh, you know, I do you know, give the definition of it bro uh, being in the quagmire means you're in a complex or difficult situation that's hard to get out of. That's it, man. The term originally refers to a soft, boggy ground that makes moving difficult, similar to a quicksand or a tricky, tangled problem that can be hard to navigate and resolve. So if you're in a quagmire, you're facing challenges that are complicated and potentially overwhelming.
Speaker 4Bruh. If that ain't a word that represents our world right now, I don't know what. What word would represent it better, bro? Quagmire? And one of the things that sits at the top of that is christianity. Christianity is, by definition, a quagmire, bro. It is a quagmire. It's so hard to navigate. Which one is real? Is it the baptist? Is it the church of god in christ? Is it the pentecostals? Is it the catholics? Is it it's Catholics? It's a quagmire, bro, full of denominational devastation, delusion, and bro it's so complex?
Speaker 2How about this? You know what this sums that word up Feces.
Hebrews 10: Christ's Sacrifice Was Once For All
Speaker 4There it is. This is full of crap, bro. This is full of crap. That is for sure bro. It is full of crap man and Feces bro, that's such a funny word, I know Right.
Speaker 2You just drop that on somebody's lap Like laughter will ensue.
Speaker 4I had to break it up, bro, I do, I didn't.
Speaker 2This is full of feces, man. But yeah, I had to break it up, bro. Dude, I don't know if you heard, man, I had tears man, we was talking about this. I was in tears over here, bro, and I was like I had to collect myself because I didn't want to come across that no, I didn't want to do that man. Yeah, but yeah, I fought back the tears man.
Speaker 4Dude, you have to, man, it's literally, you have to hold back the tears and, bro, it's sad, Bro, it's what Christ wept over when people preach about. I hear people, man, I heard somebody the other day I'm like that is so dishonest when they was talking about Christ, you know, connecting with our humanity, which he does. He's a faithful high priest and he's touched with the feelings of our infirmity, that's clear. But when he was at Lazarus tomb, when it says that when they said look how he loved him, like that means he was crying real hard and bad. And so Jesus wept, bro, do you know what it is to say to someone? I saw somebody weeping, bro, I mean he was crying uncontrollably and they even said, look how he loved him, meaning that he was over the grief that everybody was of his son, of his friend being dead and everybody else.
Speaker 4When the scripture clearly said it was over them and their unbelief, bro, he was weeping over them. He said, father is I only say this so they can hear this for the people around me. I'm saying this not not because I'm asking you or praying to you, but I'm praying aloud so they can hear and understand it said he literally looked at them, man and he, if you read and study that scripture, it means that he, like a horse, does. When you ever seen a horse? When he's very agitated, very agitated, he snorts and hit the ground like he's really agitated. That is literally what that means. When he's looking at them, he's in, he's embarrassed, he's mad, he's frustrated at their unbelief. It doesn't matter that he's there, they're still weeping and stuff. I mean, man, when jesus show up, bro, the party is. It goes instantly from being sad to happy. Yeah, it should anyway. But we but this goes to show you we can have jesus right in our midst, bro, we do, and and we'll still be sitting there.
Speaker 4If you would have been, you should have been able to do something. If you would have been here, things would have been different. And this is it you know. We said for you why didn't you do? And I get it. And they didn't fully understand, and and christ knew that, but it didn't change the fact that he felt the way he felt about their unbelief too. We are way on the other side of the cross. We know everything that christ has done. We know fully who he is. They having to realize this in real time they're having to walk this out with them.
Speaker 4Man, and he understood that. But, bro, we are so far removed from the situation and talk about how much we know him and all this stuff and we're acting just like them. Yeah, yeah, doesn't matter, christ, why didn't you do something about it? Jesus said why didn't you do something about it? You know, why didn't you? I taught. I came to teach y'all to do this stuff. These works well, I do the works that I do you do them, and greater works will you do man, I was going to pull that scripture.
Speaker 2I'm glad you said that. Yeah, yeah man.
Speaker 4Hey, the worst thing we can do at a funeral is cry bro.
Speaker 2Yeah, I'm sorry, I just said no uh, what you just said, the scripture, you just, you just quote it. Um, did you see? It's a clip that geno jennings he said that. He said I've done greater works than jesus, and you seen that clip?
Speaker 4uh I I I think so. I think you probably let bro moses know. I see it, because you sent it go ahead.
Speaker 2No, I was saying, but he's. No, he would say I've done greater works than Jesus. You know, he's like, you know. I mean, it was just a small clip, so I just assumed that's what he was referring to right, I'm sure that's the scripture that he's talking about.
Speaker 4I would be very curious to see what he's saying is greater works than Jesus is that's gonna determine. Yeah, right, you know, but Jesus literally talking about the works, the works of the son of God.
Speaker 2Jesus is yeah, right, that's going to determine.
Speaker 4Yeah, right, you know. But Jesus, literally talking about the works, the works of the son of the son of God, man, I raised the dead. What did he do with his disciples? He said he's like, go out and do the same thing. He was like he'll just say raise it.
Speaker 4You ever hear, when people preach that sermon, that part, they tend to skip over the raise the dead part. Oh, yeah, oh, man, that's you know, we don't even want to deal with that. But here's one of the thing if you read in that same scripture and in chapter 10 of Hebrews and it's like Christ did that once and for all, let me just actually jump down. Man, people are going I'm telling you should read, you need to read this whole scripture, this whole passage. But listen to what it says. It says verse 12,. It says but he hath an offer, one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time onward until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet, for by one offering he has perfected for all times. Those who are sanctified not will be sanctified, are sanctified, and the Holy Spirit also testifies to us for, after saying this is the Covenant which I will make with them after those days. When this happens, when the Messiah does this, declares the Lord, I will put my laws upon their hearts and write them in their mind. He then says and their sins and their lawless deeds I will no longer remember. Just the Holy Spirit said that, bro, and you're going to disagree with the spirit of the living God, the Holy Spirit, and say we're not perfect. What's the first thing? He just said you're perfected through what Christ did. What is the first thing we say when we talk about perfection? Well, nobody's perfect. Ain't nobody perfect, bro? Because we equate the debt, we let the devil, the world, give us the definition of perfection instead of letting God, who is perfect, tell us what it is. It just means to be complete. It just means to be fully mature. That's all perfection ever meant. We think perfection means flawless. It doesn't mean flawless, it means thoughtless.
Speaker 4Michael Jordan and the man on the bench that never hardly gets playing time are both perfect in the fact that they fully understand the game of basketball, bro. They're perfect Both of them. They know that. Both of them know the rules and the objective of the game. They're both fully mature and complete in understanding the game. Michael Jordan may exceed or is more excellent than the guy that's on the bench, but he is no more perfect as far as the game of basketball than the guy or the high schooler or the elementary boy that knows how to play, or girl whoever that knows how to play the game and know the rules, bro. Yeah, perfect is just my complete understanding of it. That's all Doesn't mean I'm going to hit the basket every time.
Speaker 4You ain't perfect because you don't hit every shot. That has never been what perfection meant, bro. Never I'm aiming for the basket. I may never hit it, and I'm still perfect at the game of basketball because I know what the objective is. I'm shooting towards the goal, bro, and I may miss it. Well, that's sin. Missing the mark, that's the result of it. But the iniquity is I don't even know the game, bro. That's the thing. I can't even play it because I don't even know it. That's iniquity.
Speaker 4This is what Christ saved us from. It was people coming into the world, bro, born in sin. You don't know righteousness. You have no clue.
Why Christianity Has Become a Quagmire
Speaker 4God said in Isaiah you are all the things you think are righteous. That's like filthy rags, which is a menstrual cloth. Is what that meant in scripture? It's filthy man, it's a menstrual cloth. Bro, you don't even know what righteousness is. You have no clue of what righteousness is. You don't have the ability to love the way that God loves. We lost that, but Christ gave it back and reconciled us fully to God and said you're perfect, you're sanctified, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and everything is good to go. Now. The very scripture, the name of his church is 2819, which means the passage of scripture from Matthew going to all the world, preach the gospel man, teaching men, baptizing them in the name of the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe, to do all the things that I've commanded you. That is the name of his church. Where did that say go into all the world and make men know about their sin, bro?
Speaker 2check this out. As you were talking, I went to look up that video right Because I wanted to repeat what he had said.
Speaker 2He said you know, what he had said at the beginning of this clip. But then I went to the comment section and this brother said I'm like him, but I'm not a sinner. I am saved and washed in the blood. My sins are gone and forgiven. I'm not a sinner saved by grace, washed in the blood. My sins are gone and forgiven. I'm not a sinner saved by grace. I'm a new creation in jesus christ. I'm not a sinner, I'm blood bought man.
Speaker 4That's there it is bro the second comment.
Speaker 2After that, I think he, I think this is his own confessions and I, bro, I had to say still, I said we're in christ and not an adam on this side of the cross. We are saints and no one on this side of the cross should be confessing this over their lives amen, amen.
Speaker 4Oh, you put that in there I just man, yes you just did that. Amen, yes, that blessed that man amen.
Speaker 4That's the people in the comments is the ones is just is literally just like in God in Christ time. The ones who were in leadership was not preaching, was not proclaiming the truth. It was the people who were not in positions of authority and power is the ones that were proclaiming the truth. And if you look all through scripture, it's always been been that way it's. God is never with the majority voice, he's always with the minority. The remnant is what they used to call it. The 12 go to spy the land. 10 come back with an evil report. To come back with the right one. Get in too many people. I only need 300. Why? Because if you give me too many people, y'all get the victory. You're gonna think your numbers did it. Man, it's god ain't. He don't care about the numbers, bro, he's never with the numbers hey dog, what's dude?
Speaker 2I didn't look. You sent me this clip and the person that I responded to was the sister that I go back and forth with in my dms my god bro imagine that I did not know she was in the comment section.
Speaker 2I didn't even know she was, I didn't know she followed. So I see that and I saw her and I this gave me an opportunity to address because we, she and I, always go back and forth man because she's very religious man and, um, she's seven, seven day adventist was she the one that made the comment about being righteous, though uh, no, no, this brother said that's not her.
Speaker 4Oh no, okay, oh god, what's coming this?
Speaker 2evening. She said uh, let me see her response. No, she said um. She said no, no, she, when he said he, was he not a sinner about his brother. Then she replied I think this is his own confessions and I'm like I'm in carolers, I don't care he, he's leading a flock. He should not be confessing that over his life and we're saints, man, I mean absolutely, and so I definitely and you should.
Speaker 4And why won't they? And why won't they? If they think that that's his own confessions and you know that they are inaccurate, then the people that's with him should be going. That knows they should go and pull them to the side. Man, this is why I love the word of God, because every situation is addressed in there either by principle or exact scenario.
Speaker 4Man, we got a story in there where a brother named Apollos man that was just, he was powerful in the old covenant scriptures, knew everything all the way up to John the Baptist, and it said he was preaching with fire, with conviction, just like this brother. And it said that Aquila and Priscilla heard him. Man, and it said after he got done, they pulled him and took him home and expounded to him the more perfect way, that that christ had come, that the old covenant has been fulfilled and this is, and now we're living in the new covenant. And once he had a full understanding, said and he got baptized and he received the holy spirit. And he said and then after that he went back out and and won many people because now he can take the scriptures and show how they have been fulfilled and how we're now supposed to approach god and and where we are now in the new covenant, bruh.
Speaker 4But but are people humble enough to make the switch? When you hear the truth, it's before honor comes. Humility, bro, Before God is going to honor you, you got to show that you're humble enough to repent, to really repent. He says you don't need people to tell him to repent. You need to repent from calling yourself and teaching others to call themselves sinners.
Speaker 4And that they're not awesome. They are. They're awesome, the image bearers of God. We are so awesome that angels of the Lord stand Says what is he? What is man? Did you so mind? What is he? What is he? They are in awe of who we are. They literally. Peter says they, Paul even says it. Peter says they desire to look into this salvation that we have. They longing to know like. What is it about them that is so different about them that is so different? We are literally begotten of the father and it is a. It is an anomaly to look at a man that is in a earth suit, that's clothed in in dirt and has the spirit of the eternal god and is a temple for the holy spirit to dwell in fullness in this physical dimension. It's hard for them to make that connection, bro yeah, man but it's, but it's hard for us.
Speaker 4I'm looking at.
Speaker 2I'm looking at these people coming at their brother who said that he was that he is not.
Speaker 4Oh yeah, they come out there.
Speaker 2I'm like so are you perfect?
Speaker 4yes, yes, fully perfect because of what christ?
Speaker 2did so.
Speaker 4You're perfect, yes yes, 100, perfect, the righteousness of god literally the righteousness of god.
Speaker 4Peter said that the end would be this world would be filled with righteousness, bro, if you take the people out. Of. End would be this world would be filled with righteousness, bro, if you take the people out of the earth, how could it ever be filled with righteousness? It's righteous because the righteousness of God is here, us In the church. We should be teaching the rest of the world what that is. We don't need to be calling them secular and I don't care who you are.
Speaker 4You cannot honestly minister to somebody that you're looking at and you perceive that they are a sinner. You can't, you can't. It's impossible. This is why Paul said no, no man after the flesh. Don't look at what people look like and doing. Look at them according to their spirit, to what Christ has done for them, and let them know that they have an inheritance in Christ Jesus. That's all people need to know. That you reconcile to the family. Man, you're family, you're not family. When you receive Christ, you're family. Christ made you family. You're receiving Christ only puts you in a position. It's just like me getting a gift. Somebody could tell me I have a billion dollars in the bank, bro. Until I receive it. It doesn't matter. It doesn't even matter that I have it. It's not beneficial to me because I haven't received it. It's up to us. It's the receiving, it's not the going to conf your.
Speaker 3It's to become forgiven oh man, yeah, bro, yeah uh, people, god, this was a deep one.
Speaker 2I hope you can reconcile this message and, uh, pray for it. Pray for the pray, pray, pray pray for the understanding, yeah we gotta get this in same consciousness off man. We gotta get that out, we gotta get that out that's gotta go.
Speaker 4Hey guys, gotta go.
Speaker 2Christianity gonna go.
Speaker 4I'm sorry, christian because Christianity has to go, because it is. It's built on that, bro yeah the quagmire is a yes, built on the yes it is, and God and our Father is not the author of confusion. No, we're different, he's not the author of confusion.
Speaker 2no, we're definitely confused. He's the God of peace, man.
Speaker 4It is, it's confusion, man Bro. Allow me to just say a quick prayer, man.
Speaker 2Please, please, man.
Speaker 4Father, we just thank you for the opportunity to share this message, to come on this podcast.
Speaker 4Take this platform to speak to our brothers and sisters or to to let them know that they are totally reconciled to you, that they have been made your righteousness. We are in Christ, no longer in Adam, but we're in the last Adam, who is Christ, the Alpha, the Omega, the first, the last, the beginning, the end, the amen. He's the conclusion of all things as it pertains to you, father. In him dwells the fullness of the Godhead and he is your totally expressed image to us and our example, of whom we have been called to follow, and we know that we are loved by you just as much as you have loved him. And, lord, we just ask that the eyes of the understanding we agree with the Apostle Paul in his prayer in ephesians 1 that lord made the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of who you are and the eyes of their understanding be enlightened. In jesus, mighty and precious name, we pray amen, amen, man, dude, love you, uh, love you, people of god love you, love you, people of God.
Speaker 2Yes, this is something that we got to step into. Yeah, I just man one more time. I just got says, he said, he said was like he's not awesome, he's, he's a sinner. You know, I have issues, we all have issues we all have issues, bro, all of us.
Speaker 4All of us all have issues, bro, all of us, all of us. Jesus had issues. Did it make him a sinner? He had issues, man. Jesus asked his disciples. He said he said how long am I going to have to put up with y'all? He said y'all, perverse generation. That's the heat. You told me somebody that got issues, bro, I got to.
Speaker 4I got to try and get these people to understand, to wean off of this of their doubt and unbelief, and have total faith and confidence in the father. And these are the people that I'm sending out into the world with this message. But he had to trust the father that he didn't make a mistake with who he picked. And he finally understood. He said you know what? I got a lot of stuff I need to tell y'all, but y'all ain't going to get it until the Spirit of Truth comes. So I'm going to cut y'all a break, man, I ain't mad at y'all. You just can't get it until you have the Holy Spirit and he'll bring all that remembrance to you. Jesus trusts the passing of the baton to the Holy Spirit and be like this is your work, holy Spirit. I'm not going to be frustrated, I finished the work that the Father came me to do. The rest, from here on, it's your. You got it and he resolved his issue, bro, but it didn't mean he didn't have none. Was that sin?
Speaker 4Wow, man issues bro but it didn't mean he didn't have none right was that sin, wow man, ah we we go, it's gonna, we gonna get it, man.
Speaker 4Yeah, we gonna get it, we gonna get it bro. Um, it's at least. I pray, we do, man, because, yeah, even even Paul thought it was going to happen in this day too. So, man, I pray, we do, bro. It's ours to lose, bro, it's ours to lose, we have it. It's our time, it's our moment, man, we can just fully embrace the message once and for all, bro, and can literally put it into this yeah, we're just making the enemies of God his enemies we got one job bro, one job man.
Speaker 2The deceiver got the deceiver got everybody thinking they're broke when they got millions, billions in the bank account aliens bro aliens. I can't get my car. I can't get my car. Fixed man dude.
Living As Saints Not Sinners
Speaker 4Your bank account says 300 trillion dollars man bro, you can the bank bounce you, you can make the right right you can the bank bounce, you can make the right right.
Speaker 4I can't get my car fixed. I can't get, can't pay my rent, bro, can't pay my bills, can't buy no food and everything. And this is literally what what jesus said. I don't even care about that. The father got that covered. You seek the king. One job, bro, we, we got one job and the father will add everything else. All you need to do is seek the kingdom first, and the righteousness his righteousness and everything else would be added to. The father made you. He knows what you need. You need what you need. You need food, you need clothes, you need a house over your head. He knows that he created you to need the shelter he's going to provide for you and he doesn't want you to just have the most meager accommodations ever. You are a king and a priest unto God. The greatest things are yours.
Speaker 2The greatest of the greatest things are yours. All right, brother, we got to get out of here man, we got it.
Speaker 4Yes, sir, all right, all right people, god, I didn't get a chance. Yes, I love you.
Speaker 2I didn't get a chance. Yes, I love you. You said what was it? I said I didn't get a chance.
Speaker 4I love you too to the people of god. Oh man, bro, that goes without saying. Okay, man, that's. That goes for the fact that you hear some talking about this bro it because this ain't easy man. This, this is not popular, bro.
Speaker 2This is not how you endear yourself to the masses I would say at all all of our podcasts, this, to me, was the most challenging. I I was really feeling, I was feeling burdened this morning and yeah, and I I regret, even though I know we're going to use that clip man, maybe we should have listened, listen to, waited to listen to the clip till we got on the show, but listening to it before it's yeah yeah, it's just like.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, my shoes are dirty, man, if you know what I'm saying dirty, yeah, all right man you have a beautiful day man. Blessings to you, my brother love you, love you too, man man, all right, all right, peace, peace.
