Freedom Starts When You Stop Calling Yourself A Sinner

New York finally gets its moment, and we start there, soaking in the joy of a Knicks championship that took decades to come. But that celebration turns into a bigger question about what we tolerate and what we invest in: why do believers accept “good enough” in places where excellence should be normal, especially in Christian movies, Christian streaming apps, and faith-based storytelling?
We get practical and specific, talking about platforms like Wonder Project and the wider world of Christian entertainment, where production quality is improving but the mindset can still lag behind. If we say we carry the best news on earth, why would we package it with low effort, thin content, or a shrug that says, “God will anoint it anyway”? From there we shift into tools that actually help, like Bible journaling and devotional apps that combine a verse of the day with reflection prompts and personalized prayers, and why clear scripture beats religious filler every time.
Then we go straight at the heart of spiritual identity. We unpack a prayer line that sounds holy but hits wrong, the difference between flesh and the carnal mind, and why sons and daughters do not need to live as spiritual actors. We connect Galatians 5:1 with Romans 7–8, challenge the habit of blaming everything on demons, and even tackle the debate about whether you have to pronounce Jesus’ name in Hebrew for God to hear you. If you’ve felt stuck in performance, shame, or confusing teaching, this one aims to bring you back to liberty.
Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s tired of religious confusion, and leave a review if it helps. What’s one church phrase or doctrine you’re ready to question out loud?
Knicks Glory And Long Wait
SPEAKER_03What up, man? What up? Good, man. Orange and blue skies, man. Orange and blue skies. That's what's up, man. Did you check it out?
SPEAKER_00Uh uh, orange and blue sky.
SPEAKER_03That's the nick. That's what they say with the Knicks won a championship last.
SPEAKER_00Oh, snap! That's what did they win it? Yes, man. So, so what was it? They did four and one. Yeah, the gentleman's sweet, as they say. Wow. Wow. Man, that's what's up. Long time coming for them, brother. Yeah. 53 years.
SPEAKER_03Wow, dude. Wow. The famous Willis Reed game when he was hurt. Man. Came back in the game. The guard went crazy. Oh man. I've seen clips all my serious, dude. Man, you know they're eating it up. I'm I'm seeing millions upon millions of people in the street. Uh, this clip I saw this morning, it was easily a couple of million people in the street singing Jay-Z Song New York.
SPEAKER_00Oh serious.
SPEAKER_03Oh, man. I feel I feel so good.
SPEAKER_00I saw Man, that's God. That had to be a beautiful moment, man. Man. Dude. Okay, wait a minute. Let me ask you this. You saying it's been 53 years since the Knicks won a championship? Yeah, 73. They never won with Patrick U and them, man, when he was on it ever?
SPEAKER_03Man, you heard you heard of this guy named Jordan? He kept many of the keep many of folks from winning, man.
SPEAKER_00That dude was greedy. He was stingy, dude. Oh, that's true. I didn't even consider that. That that was the Jordan era. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because I was rooting for him. I wanted Jordan to go down, man. But that ain't Jordan. Yeah. Jordan beating everybody. But yeah, 53, man.
SPEAKER_00That's something. And for it to be New York, bro, you would think New York would hold it down. You know, it would be like an LA type situation at some point, man.
SPEAKER_03Even more. Yeah, they tried to, man, like their celebrity road. I mean, the game, um, game four was off the chain. I don't know if you watched it, man. They came back from 29 points.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_0329 point deficit to win the game.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And next play. I saw the highlights. Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_03And uh, you know, Mariska Hargate, uh Hartke, uh from uh SVU. She's uh she's a big New York Knicks fan and Jalen Brunson fan. And man, you know, Spike Lee. I mean, just celebrity role, man. Yeah, Ben Stellar, John Mackerel. Yeah, and Tracy Morgan.
SPEAKER_00Spike, man. Spike he's been honing it down since ever. So I'm happy for him, man. So you telling me this is his first one in his lifetime, dude? Uh oh. 53, I guess. Yeah, 53, I guess. I mean he's uh I guess I wouldn't think Spike gotta be like around just a high age, right? Or maybe a couple years older or something.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, I think he's a much older than that, man. Let's see.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. So so okay, so most he was born since they had one, but probably just not a basketball fan.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he's 69, he's 69. I was about to say 70, he's 69.
SPEAKER_00Spike Lee's 69 years old, dude. My spike only had a couple years on us, man.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, no, okay, yeah. Hey, you know what? Then uh come to find out, man. Uh come to find out against Eddie Murphy, man. Eddie Murphy. I don't know if it was the Eddie Murphy roll. It was. He dined on Spike.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, come on, bro. Come on, Eddie. Home is where the heart is.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, come on. Some people, I'm sure some people, yeah, because some people didn't know that.
SPEAKER_00You know, I really didn't know that. I didn't know that. Spike Bright didn't want nobody know that.
SPEAKER_03No, right. That probably hurt him in a in a way that nobody could even figure out.
SPEAKER_00You saw it on his place. I owe you one for the dude.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you know, because he is Mr. New York, Mr. Nick. Yeah, you know, yeah, but congratulations. And also to also to Jalen Brunson, who was their star player, who's when maybe 6'2. Uh, you got all people saying that uh oh, there's no way a 6'2 person can lead a team to the championship. Oh man, but all those people eating crow this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there he is. I'm gonna keep your mouth shut, bro.
SPEAKER_01Eaton Crow.
SPEAKER_00I mean, and decisively, decisively, bro. I mean, the only people and your boy Steve and A, man, the only people they was concerned about going up against was Detroit, man. Yeah, and they they didn't have to face us, man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and they probably was like, oh, they exhale, man.
SPEAKER_00Right, because we would give New York the business, bro.
SPEAKER_03And this game is about matchups.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it is, it is, and so Detroit matchup well against New York. Yeah, against New York, is it's a problem, bro. It's a problem. Yeah, but I'm happy for them, man. I'm happy for New York, bro.
SPEAKER_03Me too. Yeah, so when I'm gonna get off here, I'm gonna have to go and watch the fourth quarter.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay, yeah, man. For sure.
SPEAKER_03I definitely do that myself, man. For sure.
Why Christian Streaming Feels Cheap
SPEAKER_03Um hey, it's one thing I want to talk about switch gears. Uh, one thing we talked about these streaming apps, especially when it comes to quote unquote Christian streaming apps. Why why they why they why they so low rent, man?
SPEAKER_00Like, man. It's the same thing with they move with cinema, with the movies and everything, bro. Because Christians don't feel like they need to spend a lot of money on that stuff, man, because they feel like the anointing of God is just gonna come on it and and make it do, we ain't gotta spend that much money. And the thing is, because we equate money with materialism, like, man, we ain't gotta go in and invest like that. And it's just, man, when Christians, bro, when we do stuff, we invest in stuff, man, we think that, you know, we ain't we don't have to put all that money into it or excellence into it because God is gonna just anoint it, you know, it's it's like they do that. And that's just that's a that my that mentality, man, is is just doesn't even match scripturally, man. Because when you read in in the word, you know, the father demanded the best from people, best sacrifices, you know, Solomon's temple. Nothing's ever been built like that before. I mean, you know, since then, yeah, uh, man, it's just yeah, we I don't know where that mentality comes from, bro. Because we equate money like it's wicked or materialistic, and just don't put in or don't put the work in, man. We don't do it.
SPEAKER_03Reason
Wonder Project Hype And Reality
SPEAKER_03I asked that because I just uh subscribed to the Wonder Project. And uh the selling point was that because they do it. I just finished The House of David the last season.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_03So when you finish that, you started getting these uh advertisement or previews for the Moses. They got a little uh show about Moses, the ultimate, you know, probably one of the best superheroes ever. And okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. But I was like, oh man, sweet. Yeah, so I subscribe to it. It's not it's not a lot of money, but it was cool. But I checked it out and man, these episodes are like 17 minutes long. I was like, wait a minute.
SPEAKER_00I didn't easily I subscribe to this for like right, it's some episodes that's 17 minutes long to get some sense some cinematic presentation, bro.
SPEAKER_03It was they're well, yeah, they're well done, and I think it's only maybe three episodes. So, what it is is um it's a spin-off of the house of David.
SPEAKER_00So when oh, okay, which was definitely well done, as you said. Yeah, oh my god. That was so stuff. So let me clarify. The cinematic presentation of stuff has gotten a lot better, man. So of what Christian stuff usually is, but so let let me correct that, man. But go ahead, bro.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's I think that's Angel Studios.
SPEAKER_00That yeah, they yeah, they good. They the ones do chosen too, right? Yeah, so yeah, yeah, so they dope. They dope. They're going in the right direction for sure. Yeah, for sure, for sure.
SPEAKER_03And um, yeah, so I did that and checked it out. So, but yeah, it was it's it's tied into the um uh House of David, and um so uh David's father is telling, you know, he's uh like around the campfire, he's telling stories, and he's telling stories about Moses. Okay, and so yeah, that's how it's and so yeah, okay, and so it gets kicks at yeah, then they reflect back, and so but yeah, I think it's like three three, 15, 16 minute episodes. Oh, okay. It was pretty good, but uh um what's that? I think Ben Kinsley played Moses. Oh, okay. But yeah, uh okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that's okay. I man, for some, I think I seen don't he do a whole Moses story? Like uh man, Ben Kinsley, didn't he? I think, man, I'm gonna have to look because I could have sworn he did like a whole movie, you know, playing Moses. So um, and maybe they maybe they splicing in pieces of that. I'm not I don't know, man. I might have to check that out. I might have to check that out.
SPEAKER_04Let's see.
SPEAKER_00What's the name of the app?
SPEAKER_03Uh it's called uh Wonder Project.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. And you gotta watch it through the app to see that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, got you, got you.
Bible App Journaling That Hits Home
SPEAKER_00Oh man, I know you're looking up something, but man, my wife got a app, man, that's pretty, pretty dope, man. That uh she she just got down with, man. It's like it's called, I think it's man, I don't even know what it is. It's called uh the Bible something, man. I have to find out. But what it is, man, is um, is it'll, you know, it's in you just act like the regular apps to send you out notifications, the Bible verse of the day, and it's not, but it incorporates a journaling, like, you know, a reflection that you actually can put in, like whatever you going through that day, or whatever you're feeling, and you put it into this, and it actually converts you what you give it with the scripture of the day, and actually gives you a prayer or a confession as it pertains to what you going through, man. I mean, it flips it and it's dope, dude. What is that? Is that that's that's not that's not Bible chat, is it? Bible chat, I don't think it was called Bible chat.
SPEAKER_03Okay, because I haven't.
SPEAKER_00But it is called Bible something, though. It is so so I guess I can't 100% say it's not that. Does Bible chat do that same thing?
SPEAKER_03Uh I'm not I haven't fully investigated it, but it it sounded like something that it offers. I'm not sure though. Okay, it's really, it's really good.
SPEAKER_00It is, man. I was very impressed with that, man. Especially that the language that it gives, it it don't have any of that Christian needs or anything in it, bro. It just gives you straight scripture and puts it in a way that uh it resonates with you and basically with what you told it, and it takes that and it doesn't deviate from that, man. I mean, it actually um it's very intuitive, man, with how it flips it and makes it applicable to everything you just told it. Not man, bro, I love it. I love it.
SPEAKER_03So so does it offer like widgets on your home screen or your phone?
SPEAKER_00It does. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_03I I think that's Bible chat, man.
SPEAKER_00I think it might be. It might be. It may be, man. It makes sense. It makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Because uh, you know, now when I look at my phone and I open my phone, so it's two scriptures, one on the left and one on the right. One takes you into like uh the devotional and breaks down the the scripture and then he gives a prayer, and then the other one is just one that uh revises every hour. It's a new scripture every hour.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Okay. So I don't know, maybe it's that and she just got it set up different. Or yeah, because it'll let her know, like in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. It's almost like it's checking up on you. Like what's going on with you? It's time to give me your reflection. What have you been dealing with since then? It's then it's just man, it's dope because it's like it keeps you, you know, spiritually minded throughout the day, you know.
SPEAKER_03And send me that, man.
SPEAKER_00Dude, man, it's this crazy. And she'll send me screenshots of the prayer. Like, I put this in, and this is the prayer it gave me, man. And I man, and typically I've been, you know, very underwhelmed with the type of prayers that these apps have been kicking out to people and things they give you. But this one is really really intuitive, man. And uh, yeah, I was impressed by it, dude.
SPEAKER_03Oh man, I'm gonna put a put a pen what you just said about the prayer. But um back back to these streaming apps, man. Pureflex. I try to give Pure Flex a chance, man.
SPEAKER_00I didn't try to give Pure Flex several chances, too. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I mean.
SPEAKER_04Anyway, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Hey, but hey, you know how I feel about certain stuff, and I'm about to tell you this. So your reaction might tell everything, say everything. So the wonder project. So I don't go on there and try to see the material, what the content looks like. Okay. And I'm seeing, you know, I'm seeing some biblical stuff, but then on the other side, I'm seeing American flags and stuff like that. Like, what why though, man? Can you explain to me, man?
SPEAKER_00Because they're trying to show the the patriotism, you know, with the you know, that we represent and you know, we're nothing more annoying than that flag, I guess. Oh my goodness. All right, all right, all right, all right. Yeah, that's that's a whole nother conversation.
SPEAKER_03Um, so back to the prayer.
“All Of You None Of Me” Problem
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh accepting prayer, good prayer, bad prayer. Uh-huh. You know, I was I was being I was being prayed for. I was in the middle of prayer. And this person says, you know, and you know, man, the prayer is elaborate, was speaking truth. I was feeling it. I was saying my amens and yes, yes, yes. And then I heard all of you and none of me. Now I was like, Oh, that's when the amen stopped and I opened my eyes and I looked.
SPEAKER_00I had to I had to get an eye open on that one. Oh man. Now, now now why would you think that that's a problem, bro? Why do you think that's a problem?
SPEAKER_03Same way. Same way when you raising your kids. You don't want your kids to be just like you. You want, I mean, but uh the thing is, the thing is is obedience, man. Right. At the end of the day, you be who you are, your personality, but God just wants your faith and you know your obedience. Absolutely. You don't have to be like him. I mean, you be like him and his character in nature, and they right, exactly.
SPEAKER_00But your personality who you are that that's why he made you different. Yes, everybody's different, everybody got different gifts, and he loves the unique absolutely, absolutely.
SPEAKER_03So I never, never, I never received that when people would say that. I just it just never felt it didn't never tickle my ears. It was like something weird about that. Like, like, so because I know God wants his children. He don't want, he don't want eight billion of him. I mean, like right.
SPEAKER_00I know what you mean when you say, right, right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah,
Flesh Vs Carnal Mind Clarity
SPEAKER_03right, right.
SPEAKER_00You're right. But the but the religious folk, like, oh no, they were all you don't want to be like him, yeah, like him in the fact that of image and likeness and the way that we are and function and our capacity and all of that. Like, yes. Cookie cutouts, because he also says that a work of the flesh is emulation, trying to be like somebody else. So that's he actually calls that a work of the flesh. So God doesn't want us that, but I think that comes from the religious thing. Like even when John said, you know, one is coming, he's greater than me, and I must decrease so he can increase. And people misunderstand that that part of it. And that that's that's that's uh it's unfortunate, man, that it that it's taught and and preached that way.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because they look so bad, so down on this flesh, the flesh that makes that gives us domain over the earth, you know, that flesh that makes us legal on this planet, right?
SPEAKER_00The flesh that people are confusing flesh with carnality. Yes, that's that's the problem. That's the problem. Yeah, we need this flesh, bro. God, God created this flesh. You know the human body, the human body.
SPEAKER_03The skin is so awesome that you cut it, it heals itself.
SPEAKER_00It heals itself, bro.
SPEAKER_03You get a splinter, you get a splinter, and the skin is it's gonna push it out.
SPEAKER_00It will. It is it is miraculous the way that this body wonderfully and fearfully made, just like David said. So, yeah, people confuse it though. When in this flesh dwells no good thing, incarnal mindedness, that's what he's talking about. When you're incarnality in of itself is not a bad thing, carnal just means that it relates to the five senses. Carnal mind is when that's all it relates to. That's it's totally led by the the the senses, what it can see, what it can smell, touch, hear, taste. When this is when Jesus says that the kingdom is more than that. The kingdom is not eat and drink, you know, it's meet and drink. It's it's righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. So he's letting you know it's in the spirit, the Father's spirit. They that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. But I don't worship God in spirit and truth outside of using my physical body. My physical body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, right? So I this been years of terrible teaching, bro. Terrible teaching.
SPEAKER_03Yes, and I like that you talked about the image and the image and likeness, and I use these notes. I got pulled up the notes that I got from uh Pastor Miles when he broke down image, he said means moral and spiritual nature and characteristics, characteristics of a thing. Yes, God had to use himself as the material because the man had to have his have his nature capital H I S nature. Morals, moral and spiritual and and character. So God couldn't create humans out of out of dirt, gases, and molecules around him. He had to use a material that his spiritual, moral and character nature itself, yeah. So that why so that's why God created man out of his own spirit. Light lightness means to function like that's right, exactly.
SPEAKER_00It's function, it's capacity, it's able, a ability, it's it's having those things. And then he said he and he formed the body. So the body is not. Necessarily created in the image and likeness of God. It is the physical form that holds and embodies the image. That's when it says, and he breathed into him the breath of life. That means he then breathed into him man's creation, the actual spirit man, and then man became a living soul. So you see a whole bunch of different composites take place in our creation. Some is physics as it pertains to the natural, and then some of it is supernatural, you know, spiritual. And then it all came together and created this other aspect of our our being, which is the soul, which is the bridge between the spirit and the natural. So it it's all it's all precious to God, it all matters, it all is equally as valuable. Uh he just when man fell, man fell from his spiritual nature to now he's a base and only goes by his physical nature. That was the fault. Yeah. And yeah, people just stuck when they stuck in that, man. They're stuck in it.
Beyond The Word Christian
SPEAKER_03I was sitting around thinking, so you know, I like to go ask perplexity. Do you still use perplexity? Oh, yeah, for sure. So I was a little sitting around like perplexity. Like, what did people of God call themselves before Christ came? You know, they said the early followers of Jesus didn't usually call themselves Christians, which we know. We know that, right? Absolutely. According to sources like Gospel Coalition and God Questions, it references the book of Acts, and they use the terms disciples, believers, brethren, saints, the church, brothers, people of the way, people of the way, yeah, yeah, and Nazarenes referring to Jesus of Nazareth. Right.
SPEAKER_00That's where he'd being from, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. So like so like should we I mean which we should we or the body of Christ go back to before to get off, get away from that bad taste of that word Christian, which we uh which the body of Christ adopted, which we know, which was a was a snap toward uh people of God.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03I was just wondering, man, it's like is there a movement that could be had or made to push to go back to how you know the the terms that was used before the sacrifice?
SPEAKER_00Before this came, bro. I I would say to sum it all up, that the movement that should be here is sons and daughters, bro.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Sons and daughters. That's that's the identity. No, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm saying people just seem when people seem to be uncomfortable with that. They might say it for a few times, but then they just go straight to um, I guess it's the doctrination, I guess.
SPEAKER_00It is.
SPEAKER_03But man, it just don't, it never sticks, man. Cause I know that but then also, too, I know some people feel the title sons of daughter is like you gotta be a certain, you gotta be clean, you gotta be a certain way, gotta be uh spiritually clean to even consider yourself that. And that's another thing, too, that needs to be taught. Who we are, you know, the fallen king of queens to be to reign again. But yeah, that's it seemed like an issue, man.
SPEAKER_00And that's huge, man. And it's like, oh, and I love that term that you just said, man, fallen kings and queens, bro. That because that that sums up so much. You're you're a king and a queen, you're just in a fallen state. A person is fallen, they just they've fallen, as Paul says, fallen from your own steadfastness. The things that it Paul's Paul told the Corinthian church, he said, I wish to God y'all would reign so that we could reign with you. Paul, Paul was like, if y'all would take y'all's place, this is what it's about. We're trying to tell you who you are and and reveal your identity to you. And Paul was doing that with a Gentile nation. It should have been easy for the Jews to make the conversion, you know, just the switch. But they had got married and more involved with the scriptures and the sacrificial system, which ain't nobody mad at that, man, because that was the only system they ever knew. And somebody show up and show, okay, this is over. We're not doing this anymore. This is now going to be put to rest, and you guys are gonna be back into your regular, absolutely normal relationship with God as sons and daughters. And that offends religious people, just like it did the Pharisees and Sadducees. Now, man, who really is the ones who taught everybody of that day. And it was like, who you think you are making calling yourself a son that makes you equal with God? Oh my god, let's stone them, you know. And Jesus, like, wow, you know, this is didn't he call y'all gods, man, in the scripture? And he was like, Yeah, he was like, and that's just the people who the word came to, you know, and he called them gods.
SPEAKER_03He was like, So, how much more so the ones who are born of God, you know, and yeah, bro, this man, that that scripture is not referenced enough because people, I mean, it would shut down, shut down a lot of that erroneous doctrine that's out there, man.
SPEAKER_00But yeah. It's still being held true because it's being it's being taught, it's being perpetuated, man. It's it's it's a dep it's a depravity. And when you deprave people, you deprive people. So if I make you think you're less than something, then how are you gonna confidently step into it and receive it? You can't fully receive an inheritance if you don't even, you gotta embrace your sonship first and and you're and being a daughter before you can receive an inheritance, which is the oh, that's the only reason that Christ came. Him dying for sin was a whole different event, bro. That was a redemptive work that he him and the father was had to deal with. But the coming back into sonship, man, is me and wife were just talking this morning, man, on how how people, how detrimental it is to not have confidence, man. She she was talking about something else, and this was the other day, like Friday. And I said, that confident piece is so important. I was like, because without confidence, you can't do nothing with excellence and have an expectation of a specific outcome, bro. If you ever seen a person that's not confident about what they're doing, Jay. The box church, the box church today.
SPEAKER_03You know, you know what you're gonna hear at the box church today? You're not worthy. Unfortunately, it's people some people are gonna hear you're not worthy.
SPEAKER_00And even if they don't hear it like that, it's implied. Oh, yeah, big time. And you're and your spirit picks up the implication. See, you you don't necessarily have to hear it. Your your spirit, your soul recognizes the implication, man. You know, it's your your body language speaks a lot, man. You ever seen a person that don't really even say anything, but they body language tell you all you need to know about them?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, not worried.
SPEAKER_00Just how they move, man. Yeah. People that come in and they come in the room and they head dropped down, they can't look at you eye to eye. Man, Paul said one of the things about us is that when we behold Christ, when we become that image, we behold him face to face, dude. That means I can Jesus walk up to me, I can look at him in the eye and feel no condemnation. Well, you know, the eyes of the Lord is a consuming fire. Well, so is mine. So is mine. You know, you have you ever looked at somebody that is really authoritative and and and they are confident in who they are, and you try to come at them, and just the way they look at you backs you down. Because it's like you see it in there, like, oh man, they ain't you ever seen somebody try to punk somebody out, man? And you know, and you did and they just look at them, or you see boxers when they get in the in the ring. One of the biggest things you do is to is start off is to stare. Mike Tyson used to beat people before he threw a punch, dude. Yep, yep. Because he stared at them in the face, bro. And you saw them shrink.
SPEAKER_03Go to YouTube and check out Mike Tyson versus Michael Spink.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Shaking.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, man.
SPEAKER_03But man, I'm merited favored, it's old flesh.
SPEAKER_00Dude, stop it, man. Stop it. It's it's almost like, no, it's not almost like, it's exactly like when a person is sitting there and they can I can rob you of your dignity just with my words, man. Just with my words. And the only reason your words can penetrate me, or as we say today, trigger me, is when I have a an inordinate relationship with that word. It can actually trigger something in me. And we are dealing with that, man. It's just calling all a black person the N-word, bro. And I mean, man, and call me a Christian.
SPEAKER_03Man, it's on. Remember, I told you it's on site. You did, you did. All right, go ahead, man. I ain't mean to derail you, man.
SPEAKER_00No, you didn't. Because it's right in the line with that. Yeah, bro. It it a hundred percent. Like, like you just said, calling you or me a Christian, it's a trigger, dude. And like you said, on site because we because of the bad relationship we have with that word, man. And and I'm not saying it's cool, it's not, it's not a good thing to have that, but it is a trigger because we know what that is. That word is an insult back in Antioch. All right. It was it was an insult then and it's an insult now. Just like the N-word. You can try and re try and redeem it all you want to, man. When people that are not black say it, you know, you know what I mean? It is it is absolutely a demeaning thing. They mean it because it's the intention, you know the intent to demean you by that. And it's the same thing with a Christian, man. They they meant to demean you by that. Because as far as they were concerned, they they killed your Messiah, bro. Y'all still walking around here acting like this dude, and we were and we whacked him out. We took care of him.
SPEAKER_03I got
The Matrix Steak And Church Culture
SPEAKER_03something for you. I'm gonna play something for you. You ready?
SPEAKER_00I'm ready, man.
SPEAKER_03Okay, see. Let's turn this up, man. We gonna I gotta get this together, but I'm gonna play this for my phone.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03This is what we're trying to help you, people, God. We're trying to help you get out of this. Let's do this.
SPEAKER_02Do we have a deal? You know? I know this fake doesn't exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realized?
SPEAKER_03But think about it, people. Man, I've seen people come to the king. I've I've talked to people about the king. Absolutely. And they and I've I've heard this lady, she said, I spoke about this before. I mean, she was man, she was interested. I was sitting there passing Miles teachings and stuff like that, and some of my notes, and she said, Sean, I I I'm starting to understand what you're trying to say, but I teach Sunday school. And and I can't I can't see myself going back and and and teaching this to the kids.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_03So she rather go back and eat the steak, bro. Yes, you know, she's gonna eat the steak.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. Absolutely. Knowing that what she's saying is not true, that it's not real. It's it's her her mind, the system is telling her this is real, but she really knows it's not. And living in that, bro, and then like he said, apropos, ignorance is bliss. And then they gave you the harps after it. Yeah, that's the thing that tripped me out about that, dude. Yeah, duh. It's no, it's so apropos, man. And what this is a dude that had got out of the matrix and he wants to be reinserted back into it, dude. And it is absolute, but the scripture talks about that. Being being brought out, and once you've been free, you know, and you want to go back like a pig, go back to a sop, man, or go back to rolling in the in the mud, in the mire. It is no difference because why that nate that pig more relates to that nature or that mud, man. I I wanna, I want to, it's it's safe, it's comfortable, it's what I'm used to. And people will look at a pig and say, like, man, that just don't make sense. But we do the exact same thing. But check this out.
SPEAKER_03What do we just make this even more deep is what he said. And I should have, I could have played this clip longer, but when he said, Um, uh, you know, I want to forget everything.
SPEAKER_00I don't want to remember nothing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and then he's like nothing, you know, and make me something important, like an actor.
SPEAKER_00That's what he quote unquote hypocrite. That's what he said. Yes, that's literally what he said.
SPEAKER_04That is crazy, dude.
SPEAKER_00That is literally what he said, dude. That is crazy. That's what hypocrites were. Actors. Actors. Absolutely. And that is what Christianity teaches you to do. Act like a son of God. Act like a daughter of God. Act like you're righteous, but at the core of your nature, you're really not. At the core of the name of your name, you will be one day when Christ returns, and and I don't know, somehow maybe take whatever chip out of your back and put a sonship chip in, you know, that makes Christ no different than the mark of the beast. You know, if you look at it like that, dude. Instead of being the mark of the beast, he give you the mark of sonship. That's not how this works, man. Jesus is not faking the funk with us, man. He he literally, and then when the scriptures say he's ever living to make intercession for us, there's one advocate we have with the father. Advocate. He advocate mean man, he is he is advocating, he's pleading our case. Why? Because you can't plead your own.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and I've been in go ahead, man. No, go ahead.
Advocating For Mom And For Truth
SPEAKER_03No, I'm saying because it's hitting home with me, because that's what I've been with my for my mom all week at the hospital. It's been a because she's been capacitated and I had to be her mouthpiece. And you know, uh, yeah. And I and I was and I was also a pit bull too, because uh I had I felt the need to be there every day. And I and no, my mom was my mom had been strong enough to where I could leave her. I I didn't have to see her every day. It could be I could miss a couple of days, and yeah, I you know, it could be on a Tuesday, my I see you Thursday. She would be good with that, but now it wasn't that it was to uh her current state, that's not the case. I had to hear that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, she needs to see you every day. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I walked in that room, and I just smelled, it was smelled so bad. And I went to the nurse, like, what's going on, man? Why does why does this smell like this in my mom, my mother's room? You know, she got this going on and that going on. Nah, I no, my mom doesn't no, I never smelt that from the room.
SPEAKER_00She don't even rock like that, right?
SPEAKER_03No, right. No, I said my mom very conscious of what she smells like. I said, No, what you feeding me, I don't believe you. And then this woman goes to look around. We we search around the room, like she said, yeah, we we slap him up in here and clean up. No, you didn't know because I'm looking at the garbage is full of crap. Right. And it was literally full of crap. And so when she took it out, uh the smell went away. And then I and I was on their head, and I had to advocate for them.
SPEAKER_00Look at that, man. And bro, how many, uh, how how much stench is around the people of God because the ones that's supposed to be taking care of them, the ones that's supposed to be telling them the truth, the ones that's supposed to be giving them, you know, the kingdom, is allowing a bunch of crap to build up around them, man. And and and we stink spiritually, man, because of the things that we're just wallowing in and around us. We want to be better, bro. You know, we want to behave like sons and daughters of God. But if I have this spiritual dissonance in me, man, that is the Holy Spirit is telling me one thing, and then the people that I'm I'm listening to is telling me something different, dude. What is what's supposed to happen? I'm I'm living such a confused life, dude. It is, it is, it is terrible, man. It is a depravity at the worst level, dude.
SPEAKER_03And that's why we're here on this microphone getting up at 5 o'clock, 5:30 in the morning on Sundays.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03Help you, you know, we want to bring you freedom.
SPEAKER_00Let me read.
Stand Fast In Freedom
SPEAKER_00Galatians 5, man. Galatians 5, verse 1. It literally says, Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty, the freedom wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Once you're free, stay free. This is why Christ came to set us free. He came to set the captives free. We were captivated by sin, shame, all of the stuff, man, that comes with that, the death, the destruction, the degradation, all of that. But Christ came to set us free from it. And Paul said, and once you set free, don't let yourself be entangled again with it. And why? And how do you entangle people? You entangle people with you still just you're just a sinner. You're just, you know, you're saved by grace, and and salvation is an inheritance. Salvation is not redemption, redemption is not salvation. And if people don't make that, if you that's that one degree being off. If you don't know the difference between those two things, bro, you ain't gonna ever be able to live the life that Christ came for us to live. He said, Man, I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. An abundant life. That means no matter how much you think, I'm thinking, I want, I desire more for you than that. But any father would. What father doesn't, Jesus doesn't even have a problem. He said, Man, look, these works that I'm doing, you're gonna do these works and greater works. Because I'm going to the Father, man. Why? So I can go to the Father and the Holy Spirit can come back. Because if I don't go, Holy Spirit can't come. And you're and then everything that you get is only gonna be by what I can give you. But I'm local. So that means when I leave a city, that city no longer had the provisions that the kingdom came to bring. The kingdom is only in me. So it only the kingdom can only be where I am. I'm going away to make it to where the kingdom can come back and be in every single living person. This is what it's supposed to be. And you gotta be righteous, bro. And he like, and you are, because I made you my righteousness. But oh you okay, you just I'm sorry, go ahead. Tell that story because I I got one wrote.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Uh, what you talking about? Because I was about to just go to this last thing before we head up out of here.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so let me let me zip this one in real quick, man.
Demons Or Law Of Sin
SPEAKER_00So I was with you know, uh one of one of my you know fellow believers in Christ and we we were we were having a conversation and and somehow because and this person is very um uh uh let's say skillful they're very skillful in spiritual warfare and they it's been something they've been around all their life so because they're very skillful in that and and have done a lot of study as it pertains to that and understand it and been and cast demons out and all that stuff that that individual believes that every person that's on the planet has a demon of some sort inhabiting their body not being oppressed by him literally having a demonic spirit residing in them even the person that is filled with the Holy Spirit because the spirit is resides in our spirit but the demon occupies the flesh well that's that's sad man that is that is man and the thing and problematic too it's oh my god it's it's on so many different levels man it's it's sad but it is it is horribly problematic horribly problematic because if that's the case man that means that that that is literally the the that is literally what Paul was was really talking about in Romans 7. He was like you know man with with the with my spirit I serve the Lord with my flesh I serve evil and and now I see that there's another uh law working in my members. See that's the thing that's the problem when you don't un when you're not allowing the scriptures to come the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword dividing the soul from the spirit the joint from the marrow so this this this is the word has to be the thing that comes in and separate our understanding to the point of we're able to make these distinctions because if you don't recognize that there's a law working in your members and not a demon that's doing it then that's that is a problem because you you are reason you are equating and giving authority to an entity instead of recognizing you have a law working in your members. Paul said I have another law and then he goes into to chapter eight immediately and said because he ends who's going to deliver me from the body of this death then he is like but man in Christ there is no condemnation he was like the law of the spirit has made me free from the law of sin and death so Paul he's going through this confusion in Romans 7 but then in Romans chapter 8 he's immediately resolving it he said Christ has taken care of this and has gotten rid of that law of sin and death that was in so that's what everybody don't have a demon but what everybody does is have a law of sin and death that's been working in their members in their body and you have to walk after the spirit so you do not fulfill the lust of the carnal man or the because it's the carnal mind that's enmity with Christ and God and is not subject to the law of God and neither can be the carnal mind not the carnal body the the body that experiences the physic the you know the physical God gave us this body to enjoy the world man to why why did he give us taste buds because I want you to enjoy your food and the five senses man the five senses are a blessing they're not a curse they're not a curse dude yeah and it's the carnal mind that's the problem when you think that this is the highest order. That's why we got to renew it boom boom same person same message Paul is the same person who was talking to Romans in in that verse and eight and then if you keep reading he gets to verse 12 which is four you know deeper on in the letter you know than when he said that you know so it's it all comes to a culmination which at the end towards the end of Romans is when he says the kingdom of God is not meat and shrink but righteousness peace and joy and holy go dude it's it's all he is breaking it down like a masterful craftsman and letting you know how to get free and people just they ignore it man because they get they harp and in that same conversation another person that was there said why is it so many denominations in Christianity because of this because this type of stuff people get caught on one or two scriptures and they and they build a whole theology around it.
Does God Require Hebrew Names
SPEAKER_00Yep 46000 that's crazy bro different denominators even if it was 50 like man we talk about right that's terrible 43 four four different two different versions of something man is a problem 49 000 and we're gonna just all ignore it but that's like you just put that clip in man is that you know we're just ignoring i i know this ain't real i know is you know but I just hey this steak tastes so good man it just tastes so good do we have to pronounce Jesus' name in Hebrew for him in order for him to hear our prayers or intercede for let me okay let me let me give you this man let me give you this because some people really believe that you either not saved if you did that if you like if you did it in Jesus' name because that ain't how is the real name or some people believe you can't get your prayers answered no transactions can happen because you're using the wrong name bro I I work to where I have to uh I work in a procure procurement department for the job I work and I have to call certain so my whole day is transaction everything I'm doing is about a transaction and and and and in my particular position I'm the go-between to the end user and the supplier so they call my department to to make sure they get their stuff or if they wondering where is it I need you to find out what's going on with it. So I reach out to a supplier bro and when you get on there I have to introduce who I am and where I'm from so I give them my name dude we be through the conversation the person be like okay Don so I don't you know and and I let them keep talking man I let them finish what they have to say and then they were like so is there anything else I say I said no I appreciate it. Thank you I said and by the way um just for your records though so it's clear my name is actually John not Don John J-O-H N Oh I'm so sorry I'm like oh no it's all right it's all right I just you know and the transaction is complete bro and it didn't matter that they called me John Don Juan what if in fact my name Juan means John and you know when you and Sean and Sean right and and Sean and John actually see and that oh that's a beautiful point gospel twins activate bro both of both of our names both being the same in Hebrew the exact same thing in Hebrew but your name is Sean my name is John but the name the character and the nature and the authority of the name are identical in their meaning and definition so what does it matter if you show up and say John or Sean when you're trying to give the authority of something or the definition of it it didn't matter they both carry the same authority so what does it matter we don't the name of Jesus ain't about the the government name that he got man it's about the government that was on his shoulders bro it's about the kingdom it ain't Yahshua Jesus uh it isha in in in the in their Bible in the uh in the Quran is name it's Isha or something like that isn't it like a longer version of Yeshua like with an older yeah man is it's a it's a it's a a a Yaqave whatever bro okay let me tell you something if you say me and my wife was talking about this too and she of course wifey just go in she was like that so ridiculous why is anyway it seems like she was like she was like okay let me ask you a question she was like if you go to an authentic Hebrew and this wifey talking she said if you go to an authentic Hebrew a person that speaks Hebrew and you say Yeshua ain't they gonna look at you funny because you're not even pronouncing it right she was like that's not how they're gonna pronounce it in Hebrew ain't they gonna put some kind of accent on it like ha I was like yeah 100% they would I was like so we're still not pronouncing it right so if it's in the pronunciation bruh to hell with us all yeah actually literally brought a Jehovah's Witness man they they stay keen on the name Jehovah and matter of fact in their Bible the New World Translation they replaced any uh any scripture says Lord and and put uh Jehovah replaced it with Jehovah wow because you have to say his name you gotta say it or what about the people just Yahweh only just Yahweh yeah you know emailing yeah dude bro this is another good point wifey says she was like so what she was like okay she was like you call me Tugger people call me Stephanie my grandkids call me grandma my daughter call me Ma look she's like is I got a bunch of names that I answer to it just depends on who's talking to me you know dude and you think Jesus is up there I ain't gonna answer this you're gonna have to get my name you know man I don't care what you say just get my name right bro save the name right because I'll mom to get you been rocking the house that's what you're gonna but we Americans we're gonna say Jesus we're gonna say Jesus bro the the J is not silent in our culture bro in a lot of other cultures the J's are silent the J's are but people who saying Yahshua you still ain't saying it right and the people Jesus came up in the Aramaic under that culture is it doesn't even sound the same in Aramaic man no so is dude stop it it's about who you talking to you know it was a lot of people named Jesus in Jesus' day it was a lot of people named it's in it it ain't about the name yeah it's about the person it's about the character nature and authority of the person you addressing man hey so like this the uh you know perplexity gave me this answer to it said some Christians prefer yeshua because it's because it is the Hebrew and Aramaic form feels closer to the historical in the Jewish setting of Jesus' life look at that there you go man it's closer it ain't even you still didn't nail it no but you're closer though as far as the the pronunciation of it uh we gotta get it's a lot of gods bro but when we say god are we talking about it can it be any one of them that we're talking about or are we talking it's one specific one we're talking about capital G. Thank
