Sitting with the Savior. Welcome to the Miracle Monday meditation mantra to help you on your journey this week. I encourage you to listen to this episode daily to start and fuel your walk with the savior. This is John Merrill Kirkman with Walking with the Savior Podcast Daily. Now please do not listen to this meditation while operating an automobile or heavy machinery. I know this podcast is called Walking with the Savior, but today I want to share you a beautiful strategy that I love to use. It's called sitting with the Savior. To begin with, I want to give a beautiful reminder for President Henry Bay Iring. He said, Opening the windows of heaven through fervent prayer does not require the use of many words or flowery language. Rather, the diligence and prayer which Heavenly Father requires of us is to pour out our souls in private places and have our hearts drawn out in prayer unto him continually. Reaching heaven isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's simply about opening your heart. That gentle truth is at the heart of what I want to share with you today. There's a simple yet deeply meaningful practice that has brought me comfort and clarity in my daily life, something I call sitting with the Savior. In a world that constantly pulls at our attention and energy, it's perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed or disconnected at times. But there's a gentle way to bring your heart back to center, sitting with the Savior. Sitting with the Savior is simply imagining yourself resting quietly with him, just soaking in his loving presence. If you're comfortable wherever you are, I warmly invite you to try this gentle practice with me. Let's start by taking a deep breath in and a slow breath out. Do that several times. Take a deep breath in. Slow breath out. Take another one last time. Take a deep breath in. And a slow breath out. As you settle into this quiet moment, gently turn your attention toward the Savior. Remember his infinite love for you. Remember his endless strength. You don't have to fix everything right now. Just let your heart rest in his presence. When your mind feels calm, softly ask him, what would you like me to do in this situation? What would you like me to do today? How do you feel about me? As gentle impressions or quiet thoughts come into your mind, notice them with kindness. When you feel a thought arrive, take a moment to thank the Savior for His loving guidance. The next step is simple but important. Write it down and then take gentle action on what you received. This practice can almost flip a switch in your mind and in your heart. It helps lift you out of anxiety or hesitation, connects you with the divine, and gently lets you move forward with faith, with strength, and with the quiet assurance that you are walking with Him. Tomorrow, when the noise of the world starts to creep back in, remember that heaven's windows are always open to you. Just take a deep breath, sit with the Savior in your mind, ask and gently move forward in faith. Thank you for spending this gentle moment together today.
