What's happening? I got the really cute shoes on Poshmark today. They came in the mail today. That's what's new. That's great. I shouldn't have spent the money, but it was only 30 bucks and they're like brand new cons. Oh yeah. That's worth it. Yeah. Like brand new, still with the tags. And they're like they are very tiger stripes. Yeah. But they're velvet. They're really cool. I didn't know they were velvet, even though when I went back and looked, it did say velvet in the listing. But um sometimes you gotta read things. I just went, I love those, and I bought them. Well, I did the like thing because when you're on Poshmark, you don't just buy stuff, you have to like it, and then they send you offers.

Uh Deepop is the same way, and I recently discovered Deepop. It's dangerous, it is really dangerous. Yeah. Anyway, huge storm. Oh man. Oh yeah, that happened. Yeah, on Monday. Huge storm. Apparently, a tornado hit at some point.

Missing both houses, yeah. It was it missed doing damage to their fence too, like it would have if the other tree hadn't caught it. But it was just like still connected to, you know, the original tree, and the top of it fell onto an apple tree, and it was just straddling the fence for like while lost power for a few hours.

Yeah, that was. I realized we had to uh charge up a lot of power banks and flashlights and things that were half depleted. It's pretty quick for the power to go out. We weren't, it doesn't happen very often.

All the cats are we have Tink who who does like get scared in storms, but none of the other cats do. But everybody was freaked out. Like they they all were either climbing on me or hiding. And so yeah, it was it well, I mean, I take that back. Because Zeren was not, because Zeren is he was just like, whatever, man. I can't hear whatever. Well, you're freaking out and you're freaking care about it. Should I be worried?

Like last week, the the the air conditioner went out at work on like the hottest day of the week.

Oh my goodness. Monday and Tuesday, it was out. So bad. It was really, really bad. We were working in it was over 90 degrees inside.

Yeah. And that was at the thermostat, which is not by the pressing machines, which it was probably pushing a hundred back there. Oh yeah. It was terrible. Especially where you were, I'm sure. I know I'm between two, like two where I work on the shirts, it's two presses. And like hot top presses. Hot top, very close, and like literally like I can't like less than arm's width distance apart, like just enough for me to turn between machines. And it's just like I was like, it's so hot back here. And I'd like to go stand. We have a swamp cooler that runs, and I'm like, I go stand in front of that thing and just like drink some Gatorade and go back and do a few more shirts. Fortunately, they got it fixed quickly. Yeah. Wednesday. By Wednesday, it was back on, and it was wild. I still don't know if it's working like it should. It doesn't feel as cold when it if you're under one of the vents, but yeah, it's better than what it was. But also like the outside temperature has dropped because of we're actually getting rain now. Yeah.

But anyway. Even if it leaks through all of our doors and through our kitchen ceiling, it's totally fine. It's it's great. You know, we what that's what we're just that's why we have towels. We have a bunch of towels. It's fine. We don't need new doors. I mean, we do, but uh or a new roof at all. We have towels, it's okay.

It's really great products, but for us to get anything off of Printful, we have to like it's so expensive. Like a coffee cup would be like $30 for us to get five dollars or something crazy. So you know, like we want to be able to do that and put stuff out there, but we're we're kind of just like we I think we did like a lot, and we're kind of scaling back and like trying to get a better return of interest of like of what we're doing and and what we can give. But we want, I mean, like we could care ourselves return on investment, investment, not interest, yeah. Thank you. Like, I want to do everything for the patrons, I want to mail them wonderful things every month and do all this great thing, but we can't realistically because we also have to pay like utilities and yeah, food. Living expenses. We would like to eat regular meals, yeah. Um, but yeah, so you know, if you want to support us, that would be great. But all that aside, let's um what are we gonna talk about today? There is um a local author who lives here who really has nothing to do with any of this, but he is the reason I found out that this happened because he shared it on his Facebook page. His name is James Owen. Um, and if you haven't heard of him, look up uh Hear There Be Dragons. It's a series.

And I just saw on his uh newsfeed he's doing a collaboration with Kevin Anderson. Kevin J. Anderson. Really? Or either that or there's an inside joke that I'm not getting, but I have seen like some of them. He is gonna be a San Diego Comic Con though, like, and that's coming up right now. And like I don't I haven't read a lot of Kevin J. Anderson books. Um, but he did write some Star Wars books back in the old universe. Oh, that's cool. Which I used to have all of them.

Definitely sounds like something that James Owen would do, and someone who he would love to collaborate with. Um but yeah, uh, he posted on his Facebook page um a viral story that was going around, and I have no idea if it's real or not. All I did was just a quick Google search of this dude's name, and only like the only hits on the first page were Instagram and Facebook reposts of this same thing. So, like, supposedly, I'm just read allegedly. I'm just gonna read the post as it was written. Okay. In Flagstaff, Arizona, Reed Callahan, a 39-year-old man, was arrested on Saturday. Officials claim that he spent an entire day posting as a national park ranger and warning numerous hikers about a fictitious lizard he had invented. I feel like I need to do like a news like a dirt 1920. Just this in. This just in. Callahan reportedly arrived at the trailhead dressed in a green fleece and hat adorned with a badge that read Trail Safety Division. I can't do what voice is this? I don't know. Um He had ordered this badge online. Investigators alleged that Callahan stopped hikers at the trailhead to warn them about the Arizona Cliff Screecher, a lizard that he claimed did not exist in any records. Hey, hey, hey. So he posed.

Officials later confirmed that the lizard was entirely fictitious and that Callahan had no affiliation with the park. When a real ranger confronted him, Callahan calmly responded, You clearly haven't seen what I've seen out there. And adjusted his hat.

Why does the whistle sound scare it away? Is it could it be afraid? Could its mortal enemy on this earth be the tea kettler?

Jimothy, um, we don't know for sure because he is a wild animal, and like please keep him that way. Um but it's assumed that he has a rare genetic condition called short spine syndrome. And uh I mean that it is exactly what it sounds like. He just has a very, very short spine.

So he's got like it's when the uh normally um compressed like compressed vertebrae. Yeah, so normally like when when when a a baby or something is in the uterus, everything is cartilage. It's not like hard bony bones until after they're bored and then they it starts hardening. So there's something wrong that the spinal bones, the vertebrae, don't harden correctly um or in a timely fashion. So it ends up being very compressed um instead of like stretching out and and creating the spine. Okay, creating forming the spine normally. Um, and so this is I've you can see this in dogs and other animals too. I actually just right before my computer freaked out, I showed you that little cucumber was his name or something. The little the little dog. Little dog so cute. It literally looks just like the squirrel, but um it wasn't. No, it was cucumber time because he's eaten little treats or something. But I can't, I won't find it now because I closed um but yeah, so it is it is a known condition, and that's what like the wildlife uh forestry people say that this is probably what is what is uh making Jimothy look like this. Yeah. Um, but and like Jess said, leave wild things wild. Don't go to Seattle and look for Jimothy, let him live his little life. He's yeah, he's doing around for three something, three or four years now. Yeah. Um living his little life. Yeah.

I do want to talk about a little bit about like his ascent to becoming viral. So, like two weeks ago, nobody knew who Jimothy was. He didn't have a name. Um, he didn't really have much of a reputation beyond like the little neighborhood that he was being seen in in Seattle. So now like he's gone absolutely viral because of this one video, and you did mention the lady's name, uh Keanu Hall. Kiana Hall, yeah. And um ever since since then, the Mariners. Seattle Mariners, Seattle Mariners last week, they uh encouraged, they were like in this the stadium encouraged fans, encouraging fans to make noise for Jimothy. Um there's a mural of him. It's uh in a neighborhood uh somewhere behind. Oh, let's see. Mural of the raccoon has already been painted in his neighborhood. Okay, so yeah, and it it's depicting him behind a garbage bin at a pottery studio. That's a painting of Jimothy raised six thousand five hundred dollars for a local food bank at an auction. And then um people have gotten tattoos. An official, yeah, there's there was an official city proclamation made celebrating the majestic raccoon and declaring summer 2026 Jimothy Summer.

And there's like you can go if you look on TikTok or Instagram anywhere, you will find videos of Neil just laying in the middle of the street. And when I say Neil, so he's an elephant seal and huge. He is in 20 June of 2026, he was estimated at 10 feet in length and around 2,200 pounds. That's insane. He's a big boy. Yeah. And he's not actually fully grown. Oh my gosh. Maturities at age 12. And they're saying if uh if he gets to age twelve, um, he could be up to 16 feet in length and potentially weigh 8,800 pounds.

Punch the macaque. Okay, so punch was a little a little macaque uh in Japan. Excuse me, at the who was born at the Ichikawa City Zoo and um for whatever reason was abandoned by his mother. Uh, they suspect that like she she was a new mother and didn't quite really know what she was doing or wasn't ready for you know any of that. So, or like I don't know. There I quickly scanned the uh the Wikipedia page about Punch and Um they mentioned a few possibilities about what could happen, but that's not really the point. So Punch, this poor little baby monkey was abandoned by his mother, and he sort of had a hard time fitting in with the other macaques because they are very social creatures and um the the little monkey found comfort and attachment and learned social skills by carrying around a little stuffed orangutan toy. She's adorable. So cute. And this orangutan is actually bigger than punch. And there are just pictures. If you if you Google Punch the Monkey or just Punch Monkey, you see this this cute little macaque monkey just cuddling this orangutan toy, and it's so cute. And like he okay, let's see, I'm gonna find out. He was born July 26, 2025. He was integrated with the other macaques at the zoo around 60 monkeys January 19th, 2026. Um, but because of the lack of a maternal figure, um, he struggled with fitting in and socializing. Uh they uh let's see, one keeper stated that despite occasional ostracizing by other macaques, punch was mentally strong. Uh in one viral clip circulated in February, a monkey pushed Punch away, and the head of the zoo um oh my gosh. Sorry, I thought that sentence was actually gonna go somewhere. Oh but yeah, there yeah, he got pushed away. But there have been times where, like right after like a weird social interaction or rejection from the rest of the monkeys, punch will go and immediately just grab his little orangutan stuffy. It was so cute. Love it.

Oh, that's so cute. He's helping uh the little babies learn.

If you're writing poetry, if you are uh I consider graffiti art. Yeah. It's temporary art and it's I love graffiti.

I think like publicly we have to say we don't condone graffiti, but like well, because it is, you know, technically not legal. It is legal, but like don't deface public property, but also create art. I hate art is for humans, not for machines. Okay. No, machines cannot create our art. Yeah. So go out there, create art. Even if you yourself think you can't, I am telling you right now that you can. No, I am sincere.

If you created something from your head and put it on paper or whatever, I this is gonna be um there's kind of a background story that goes with this, but you know, you know, we love the K-pop group Stray Kids. They recently came up with, okay, I guess I need more explanation because so all the stray kids have like animal, like cutesy little animal representations of themselves. Yeah, they're called schizoos. Um and like there's uh they made one together that represents the fans, which are called stay. Yeah, and so they named this little I think it's a lemur. I think it is a lemur. They named this little lemur uh Tassie? Tassie, which is which is the anagram of Stay. Yeah. Um and I saw they posted on somewhere, social media somewhere, their their collaboration. Like everybody drew their own little version of what they think Tassie should be. And one of the members legit drew a stick figure with like cute little ears and stuff. It was Singman. And like, so like if Singman can contribute to the design of this thing that's supposed to represent their entire fan base, who they they are not shy about how incredibly grateful they are for all of their fans. Like among all the other members who like one of them is hella more artistic than all of them.

But like they all contributed to the design of this little cute little uh lemur. It's so cute. I'm watching the little intro video. But like if a super famous K-pop idol can draw a little stick figure and have some aspect of that go into the design of this huge big thing, then your little stick figure can also be beautiful. And yeah, just don't not do it just because you think you're bad at it. Art isn't something that you have to be good at in order to create it, it just needs to exist.
