Love Like a Goddess

12. Relationships as the Curriculum: Healing Through Love and Connection

Lynn Season 1 Episode 12
  1. Yes, Healing is Important—But Not the Only Path:   Doing inner work before entering a relationship is valuable. The partner we attract often mirrors our current level of healing and self-awareness. A relationship built on this foundation can be more aligned and mutually supportive.

  2.  Healing Unfolds Within a Relationship: Being in a relationship provides unique triggers and opportunities for growth.

  3. Triggers as Mirrors: Small situations, like a partner’s actions, can awaken unresolved fears and insecurities. For instance, a partner not being affectionate may trigger feelings of rejection, or a partner taking a break might trigger feelings of financial insecurity. These experiences bring shadows to light.

  4. Higher Mind vs. Ego in Healing: Discuss the role of the higher mind and the ego in the healing process.
    1. The Ego tends to resist these triggers, wanting to avoid discomfort.
    2. The Higher Mind sees these triggers as opportunities for growth, choosing to embrace them and approach them with curiosity.
    3. Shadows that Only Emerge Through Partnership:
    4. Some shadows are only activated in a relationship. These deep-rooted aspects of ourselves, like the need for validation or security, often only come to the surface when we’re vulnerable and invested in another person.
    5. Curiosity in the Face of Triggers:
  5. Adopting a mindset of curiosity when faced with triggers. Instead of viewing them as something to fix immediately, consider them as clues, gently showing us where healing is needed.
