60 and More Crowd: Off To Work We Go!
Welcome to the 60 and More Crowd Podcast: Off To Work We Go trailer. I am your host, Sue broadcasting from Canada.. This is a new podcast series, and we’re digging into something a lot of us are living: the decision to keep working.
Whether you’ve hit a traditional retirement age and aren’t ready to stop, or you’ve “retired” only to find yourself back on the job, you’re not alone. Turns out, both are on the rise. Many people are saying they plan to work into their 70's or longer more than any previous generation. We look at North American trends and a bigger picture global view. These are short on the go episodes less than 10 minutes. Worker longevity is a multi-layered topic and future episodes will feature various aspects of this growing trend.
I relate and connect to this topic. This podcast was created and inspired from my ground level experience and perspective as an older worker. Exploring the new work marketplace, after leaving my longtime sales/marketing career role became a high interest topic that I dug into and continue to learn about.
How are you navigating the new workplace

Whether you're considering staying in your current role or exploring new ventures, there's a new work chapter waiting for you to discover. Sue relates to this.
In Canada, (where host Sue resides) , 20% of people over the age of 65 are continuing to work. (Statistics Canada, April 2024).
What the inspiration behind the podcast and connection.
Host Sue who is also the podcast producer, transitioned out of her 30 year sales/marketing career to explore new work opportunities with more flexibility. As an older worker, her personal experience while exploring new ways of working is the inspiration of creating the 60 and More Crowd podcast. This question kept popping up on her radar: How are others (the older worker) navigating and handling the work experience? This will be platform for engaging with listener feedback, supporting the working longer experience and navigating the work landscape.
I would love to hear from listeners: Please feel free to email Sue: Feedback@60andmorecrowd.com, if you have questions, comments or success stories to share.
