Welcome to the 60 and More Crowd Podcast: Off To Work We Go trailer. This is a new podcast series, highlighting the 60+ Workforce, launching Monday December 23. This podcast is for you if you are rocking it or planning to in your 60's, 70's, 80's and beyond- the cool kids.. This generation is transforming, refreshing and redefining retirement. From a lifestyle perspective, many people are choosing to work longer for a few reasons. For example, in Canada, (where Sue lives), 20% of people over the age of 65 are working longer in various capacities and for a variety of reasons.
The cornerstone of the podcast theme is exploring the growing trend of people staying in the workforce longer and highlighting the the value of the older worker, we are needed in the marketplace. Future episodes will focus on the work landscape, what does it look like, with a wider scope globally.
The podcast is hosted by Sue, a fellow member of the 60 and More Crowd workforce. She was motivated to create and produce this podcast by her own career experience and decision to transition to new flexible work chapters. From a relatable point of view Sue is a 60+ worker who is connected to and has a deep understanding of the working longer trend.
This is an ongoing learning journey, to collaborate with people also navigating this path including: phased in retirement, self employment, part-time, remote work, volunteer work.
It will be an engaging platform for the audience: asking questions. How are you handling and navigating the working longer experience? This will be a relevant theme to be explored on the podcast. The goal is to collaborate, engage and share: trends, insights, personal success stories to guide the process of choosing to work longer.
Episodes will launch on Mondays and will be under 7 minutes in length.
