Whether you’ve hit a traditional retirement age and aren’t ready to stop, or you’ve “retired” only to find yourself back on the job, you’re not alone. Turns out, both are on the rise. Many people are saying they plan to work into their 70's or longer more than any previous generation. These are short on the go episodes less than 8 minutes. Worker longevity is a multi-layered topic and future episodes will feature various aspects of this growing trend.
I relate and connect to the topic and the audience, I am on his path the past 3 years, post career. This podcast was created and inspired from my ground level experience and perspective as an older worker wanting to stay engaged in the workforce. How are you navigating this lifestyle. Welcome to the 60 and More Crowd Podcast, made in Canada with a global scope! I am your host Sue Plant. This is the first season of The 60 and More Crowd Podcast and you are listening to Episode #4 Survey Says! . Here on the 60 and More Crowd Podcast we shine the spotlight on the many people in their 60's and 70's and beyond keeping a work chapter in their lives: what used to be traditional retirement ages and timelines an provide a modern viewpoint. Older workers bring much value to the economy and the marketplace.
Many people are choosing to keep a work chapter for a few reasons and working in different ways. In this episode we will look at recent worker surveys and reports that indicate that this is a generation where many will work into their 70's and beyond. The trend of the hard stop at a certain age will pivot to many staying on the job, finding new flexible ways of working or un-retiring and jumping back into the workforce.
These are short on the go episodes less than 8 minutes covering the different aspects of the older workforce staying engaged.
