Show Notes

Craig's guest is former U.S. Prosecutor, Michigan Law Professor, and MSNBC contributor Barb McQuade.   She has been named chair of the Community Policing Innovations Initiative, a new grant program funded by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Hudson-Webber Foundation, the Ballmer Group, and Oakland County.   The pilot program  includes five cities in partnership with their local law enforcement on community projects that address systemic inequities in policing and public safety.   The projects will focus on one of five areas: use of force, officer accountability, disparate enforcement and treatment, re-imagining public safety, and truth & reconciliation.
