Show Notes

Today, Craig discusses House Bill 5086 with Allison Donahue of MichiganAdvance.com.  Her recent story  has her speaking with doctors and abortion rights advocates about the impact of the bill, which among other things would require doctors to inform patients about "abortion pill reversal".  The language of the bill is as follows:  " If I am undergoing an abortion procedure that utilizes the drug known as mifepristone, I have been informed about the existence of treatment to reverse the effects of mifepristone before ingesting misoprostol to increase the possibility of maintaining my pregnancy if I change my mind about terminating the pregnancy."  The problem, according to doctors and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, is that the science behind the so called "reversal" is not settled, and is based on unethical research.
