The real issue isn't the rules themselves but our relationship with them. Rules can be beneficial, pointing us to Christ, but they can also be dangerous when they become the focus rather than the means to an end. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Colossians, warns against adding extra practices to the gospel, emphasizing that Jesus is sufficient for salvation.
