Bayou Brilliance - Meet Ronnie Rantz, Owner of the Baton Rouge Rougarou and Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators
Ronnie Rantz is a legend in his home state of Louisiana. From his collegiate career under legendary coach Skip Bertman, where he helped lead the Tigers to their first national championship until today, Ronnie has been a prominent figure in the Bayou sports scene. After a career in professional baseball, and an arm injury ushered in a move into broadcasting where Rantz has become most widely acclaimed. In addition to years behind the mic, Rantz has also hosted radio shows for local ESPN radio affiliates, been CEO and president of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and given back through numerous charitable activities.
You are sure to enjoy hearing what has driven Ronnie to own not one but two summer collegiate teams, The Baton Rouge Rougarou and the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators, of the Texas Collegiate League.
