In the final episode of the Boudicca series, we focus in on the first BESS in Ørsted's history to share a grid connection with an existing generator (Hornsea 3), and the complexities involved from a regulatory, commercial and legal perspective in making that happen. We look at the technology involved, the state of the battery market to date, and why the future may be looking towards longer-term energy storage solutions. Note: this episode was recorded prior to the mothballing of Hornsea 4.
