After the Bell: A Stunt Brothers Production
Episode 8: The Union
In Episode 8, Roy shows his kindness through creative food drives while Martin talks of lessons learned from Billy Bragg and The Milk of Human Kindness. This leads to the power of the union and the supports that help make teaching much easier to navigate. You are not alone. To prove this, Roy and Martin head out on another field trip, this time visiting with Katrina Russell, Past President of the NVTA, the local union that represents teachers in North Vancouver, Canada. Katrina is joined by Robin Deleurme, also a Past President of the North Vancouver Teachers' Association and current Second VP. The discussion goes deep and leads to a wonderful summary of the supports of the union. For those listeners not part of a union, the articulate analysis provided by Katrina and Robin may just encourage some to seek the power of the union. And for a little fun, extra points go to the first listener who hears the vibrating cell phone!
