After the Bell: Teaching Tips With a Twist
Episode 31: Life Is Like A Roller Coaster!
It's Labour Day, so let's slow things down and take a trip to Vancouver's Pacific National Exhibition, a fair where you can win a prize home, eat mini-doughnuts, and ride an old wooden rollercoaster. The PNE is a 115 year old staple in the lives of Vancouverites, and a reminder to parents, children, and teachers that school starts tomorrow.
After having a celebration for the end of season 1, at North Point Brewing, Roy and Martin kick off season 2 by interviewing Vancouver teacher and writer, Nick Marino, author of the fabulous book, Eastside Story. A story of working at the PNE from those who worked there, including Nick and a cast of characters who would not be out of place in a Hollywood movie.
