Causeway Coast Dog Rescue is lead advocate driving forward Ruby's Law in Northern Ireland.

Founded by Barrister Christina Warner and developed with academic evidence by Dr Mary Wakeham, Ruby's Law aims to protect those seeking legal protection when leaving a domestic abuse and coercive control relationship with animals.

By seeking the changes and amendments to the current NI Justice Bill, #RubysLaw will support first responders to calls regarding domestic abuse when animals are involved. Rubys Law seeks to protect all animals, not only companion animals as domestic violence and coercive control can take place on farms, rural and urban settings.

This podcast is recordings of the debate commencing the change process in Stormont Northern Ireland which has received cross party support for the proposed changes.  #rubyslaw #ccdr
