I want to talk about something that a lot of moms in business—myself included—have had to learn the hard way…

There’s the old way of doing business—the one that keeps you stuck, like trading your precious time for money.

And then there’s the new way—the way that actually lets you have a life, be present with your family, and still grow your income.

Now… If you’ve ever thought, “I can’t afford to take a break” this episode is definitley for you.

The Old Way of doing business: Trading Time for Money —

Most of us started here, right?

You’re offering 1:1 coaching, you offer custom services, or maybe you charge hourly—and at first, it feels like the dream.

You set your own prices, maybe you’re booking clients, and it seems like you’re in control.

But then reality hits.

➡️ The only way to make more money? Work more hours. 

➡️ Need time off? That’s lost income. 

➡️ Feeling exhausted? Just push through — because if you’re not working, your business isn’t making money.

And let’s be honest—before kids, maybe this worked.

You could push through late nights, take on extra clients, and hustle through weekends if you needed or wanted to.

But now?

You have kids who needs you and a family to show up for.

Meanwhile you have a brain that is running on three hours of sleep and you’re on an endless coffee drip.

This model—the one that demands more and more of your time—it just doesn’t work anymore… but I probably don’t need to tell you that. I’m sure that’s why you’re here… so when I found myself in this exact position - how did I get out?

For those of you who don’t know I created my dream career - I began as a freelance VA, and soon found myself working as an OBM for 6-7 figure content creators and coaches helping them launch, build, and scale their online businesses.

After baby number 2, this is exactly where I found myself - passionate about a career I just didn’t have time for unless I wanted to put my little one in daycare or hire a nanny … and that was the OPPOSITE of why I began my business in the first place!

So I took my knowledge and skills of the backend systems I had created, babyproofed them and teenage proofed them and now here I am to share with you

The New Way of doing business - which is creating that Scalable & Sustainable Income.

This is a MUST for moms who want to be hyper present in their daily lives while also fanning the flame of that inner badass bossbabe.

So here’s the shift that changed everything for me, and I know it will for you too -

Instead of income producing offers that require trading time for money, you build a business that runs in the background of life.

Which means moving from 1:1 to one-to-many.

Instead of constantly showing up live, selling, and delivering… You create scalable offers that work for you.

which could be

📌 Digital products – like Courses, templates, guides that people can buy at anytime, even when you’re at the park with your kids. 

📌 Group coaching – Serve more people at once, instead of repeating the same advice in endless 1:1 calls. 

📌 Memberships – which bring in Recurring revenue without needing to chase new clients every month. 

📌and Leveraging Automation – Letting emails, DMs, and funnels nurture and convert leads while you focus on your family.

Some of you may be thinking ‘that sounds like a lot of work’…

but here’s the biggest mindset shift you need to grasp if you want your world to change:

➡️ You do the work once—and it pays you over and over again. 

➡️ When You step away— your business will still make money. 

➡️ You put these systems into place and you will finally have the freedom that you started this business for in the first place.

Let’s get real - at the end of the day, none of us started a business just to feel trapped by it.

We wanted freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment. And that’s exactly what this model allows you to have.

So now, I know what you’re thinking—“That sounds amazing, but how do I actually make this shift?”

Don’t worry—I’ve got you. I’m going to break down exactly how to move from trading time for money to building scalable income streams that work for you.

Because I know you. I am you.

I’m also juggling naptimes, school drop-offs, kids schedules (last minute science projects)—and trying to build a business.

and Like you, I also know that the way most people teach business? It just doesn’t fit our lives.

Here’s the truth: You don’t have to be glued to your phone or computer 24/7 to grow a profitable business. You just have to make these three shifts.

Shift #1: Stop Doing Everything Manually – Automate Like a Boss

Let me start by saying this—if you are manually responding to every DM, manually sending emails, manually following up with leads… you’re working too hard.

Like you are making life difficult for yourself unnecessarily…

You do not have time for that.

We’re only available for income producing tasks at this point!

Automation is the secret to getting hours back in your week without sacrificing growth.

Manual Marketing & Sales Are Draining You • Every time you have to stop and respond to a message, that’s mental energy wasted. • If you’re personally sending follow-ups and reminders? That’s a system that could be automated. • and If you don’t have an email sequence working for you while you sleep… you’re leaving money on the table.

I know automation might sound techy or complicated, but I promise it’s not. And once you set it up? You’ll never go back.

a Real-Life Example of How I Saved over 10 Hours a Week with Automation

When I first started, I was glued to my phone, responding to every single DM and manually sending links to my offers. It was exhausting.

If you want to scale, you have to move from 1:1 to one-to-many.

the One-to-Many Models Work for Moms because: • You do the work once, but serve a larger audience. • Your income isn’t limited by how many hours you work. • You get to actually step away from your business without losing income, while still supporting your audience fully.

Now, you want to make sure. you’re choosing the Right Scalable Offer:

📌 If you love teaching → Create a course. • A structured, step-by-step way to share your expertise. • People can go through it on their own time.

📌 If you love community → Start a membership. • Monthly recurring income. • Scalable support without constantly selling.

📌 If you want passive sales → Sell templates, guides, or workshops. • Quick-win offers people can buy instantly. • No live delivery required.

Shift #3: Ditch the Hustle – Focus on Income-Producing Activities

Now, this one is BIG.

Most moms waste so much time on things that don’t actually grow their business.

It’s like shiny object syndrome…

Where You’re Losing Time (and Money) • Endless content creation. - You don’t need to post 24/7 to make sales. Stop chasing vanity metrics. • Doing free work instead of selling. - Stop giving away free coaching in the DMs. I love helping people, I love supporting and cheering and rooting for every mama who embarks on this adventure. But if you aren’t encouraging people (like the ones you’re coaching for free in your DM’s) to MOVE and invest you’re actually doing both of you a disservice. Because you’re enabling them to play small… and there is no WAY you would be able to provide the same about of value inside of your DM’s as you could give them inside of one of your offers.

So basically what they’re getting is a watered down version of what you actually offer and that’s not fair. Not to either one of you. ok. end of rant there - that could be a whole other episode!

And the last place you’re losing time and money is by • Reinventing the wheel instead of refining what works. - If something is working, scale it—don’t start from scratch every time!

So here’s What You Should Be Doing Instead to focus on your ROI:

Invest your time in:

📌 Building Your Email List • Instagram can disappear tomorrow—but your email list is yours. • Every email = a direct line to your audience without fighting the algorithm.

📌 Selling Your Digital Offers • You don’t need a huge audience—you need a clear offer and a way to sell it. • Stop waiting for people to “just find” your stuff—make it easy to buy.

📌 Creating Automated Marketing That Converts • Funnels, nurture sequences, and lead magnets do the heavy lifting. • Set them up once—and let them work for you.

Because here’s the thing…

The most successful moms in this industry aren’t working harder than you.

They’re just focused on what actually moves the needle… Like:

💡 Less manual work. 

💡 More automation. 

💡 Scalable offers. 

💡 Smarter marketing.

and that’s how you build a business that runs in the background of your life.
