But if stepping away for even a day makes everything stall?
Thatâs not a scalable business. Thatâs a ticking time bomb.
In this episode, Iâm pulling back the curtain on what it really looks like to shift from delivering everything 1:1⌠to building a business that runs with or without you. INTRO
Hey mama â welcome back to another episode of Moms Who Mean Business.
This one is for the woman whoâs in demand but in over her head.
Youâve got clients. Youâve got receipts. Youâre amazing at what you do.
But if you stop workingâeven for a dayâthe whole thing falls apart.
You built a business⌠but now it feels like itâs built on you.
If youâve ever said:
- âIâm booked out but Iâm burning out.â
- âI need to figure out how I can scale this⌠I need to offload thisâ
- âPeople want what I offer, but I canât keep doing it like this.â
Then literally made episode for you.
If youâre where I was a couple years ago â
You know how to serve.
You get results.
You are really good at what you do.
But having a mad niche skill set and being good at something isnât the same as knowing how to scale it.
And there becomes this tipping point of where you need to scale ⌠and sometimes bringing other people isnât an option or you really donât want to go that routeâŚ. so thatâs the shift weâre going to make today.
Your skillset⌠your brilliance doesnât have to be boxed into 1:1 anymore.
The transformation youâre delivering can be packaged, automated, and delivered without you personally doing every single thing.
and Thatâs exactly what weâre diving into today.
so Letâs get into it.
>> Why Knowing How to Serve Isnât the Same as Knowing How to Scale
You know how to serve your clients. You know how to get results.
But if youâre where I was, you quickly realize the moment you try to step backâeverything stops.
And that creates a huge problem, especially for moms because letâs face it⌠stuff pops up ALL the time.
Like earlier this week as my husband is walking out the door, heâs like âhey, can you run this to the vet today? and hands me a stool sample đ like ew! what?!â and our vet is like 30 minutes away⌠so weâre talking like probably an hour and a half out of my dayâŚ
and hereâs the pattern I see over and over:
business owners, especially Moms, who are booked out, overwhelmed, and secretly resentful of the business they builtâŚ
Not because they donât love what they doâ
But because their success is tied directly to their availability.
Your calendar is full, but your capacity is gone.
Youâre making money, but every dollar is attached to a task or 1:1 client timeâŚ
And the moment you want to rest⌠or in my case a random vet errand ⌠that is lost income potential.
if this Sounds familiar, Itâs not a lack of motivation. You donât need the fluffy, feel good, âremember your whyâ bullshit⌠you need a strategy that actually supports you.
So how do you do that if youâre in a service based business?
This is my Virtual Assistants, Social Media Managers, Freelance Designers or Copywriters, Photographers, Coaches (life, health, business), Bookkeepers or Accountants, Web Developers or Tech Setup Experts, Doulas, Sleep Consultants, or Wellness Pros, Creative Professionals â like brand strategists, video editors, or podcast producers doing custom workâŚ
Because right now? Youâve all built a business that only works if you do.
And I say that with so much love, because Iâve been there too.
When I was working behind the scenes in the online space as an OBM for 6 and 7-figure business owners, I was running launches, building systems, and managing teams.
I was the go-to. I was good at it. And I was in demand.
But the more successful I got⌠the more trapped I felt.
I had created a job where I was the engine.
If I didnât show up, nothing, and sometimes no ONE moved forward.
And once I became a mom of two?
That model fell apart fast.
Because I couldnât be everywhere anymore, and to be honest⌠I didnât want to be everywhere anymore.
I wanted a business that honored my skillset and my life.
And thatâs when I realized:
Being good at something is not enough.
If you donât package it in a way that scales, youâll burn out serving everyone but yourself.
So let me ask youâ
What if your service was only step one?
What if the real power move is turning that service into a system, a product, or a scalable offer?
Because Thatâs what weâre going to dig into next.
The moment I shifted from âWhat can I offer my clients?â
to
âHow can I deliver results without doing it all manually?â
Ohhhh that was a game changer!!!
So letâs get into that shift.
>> So, The Shift That Changed Everything
Let me take you back to the moment it all clicked for meâŚ
I was deep in client work. Managing inboxes, organizing launches, setting up backend systemsâbasically running other peopleâs businesses while trying to juggle my own life, family, and a laundry pile that could qualify as a job in itself.
I remember one day vividlyâPresley had just gone down for a nap, Kayden needed help with a school project, there was something needing my attention asap on a clients teamâŚ
And I thought:
I canât juggle all of this anymore.
and It wasnât that I didnât love what I was doing. I did.
But I had built a business that only worked when I did.
Thatâs when I had my moment. My this-isnât-working moment.
đđź I didnât need another time-blocking hack⌠my baby couldnât fit a schedule.
đđź I didnât need a better planner.
đđź I didnât need to âmanage my timeâ better.
I pride myself in all of those things⌠and Iâm an excellent multitasker. If any of you know anything about human design iâm a manifesting generator⌠so admitting that I could not keep all of the plates spinning⌠it was like âsystem overloadâ ⌠mechanical failure⌠what is the purpose of life?!?!?
But what I actually needed was a new business model.
One that didnât require me to personally hand-deliver every single transformation.
So once I talked myself off the ledge.. and was like âok⌠if I were a client⌠and I came to me⌠what advice would I give??
and I made a shift.
I stopped looking at my business like a service, and started looking at it like a solution.
What was I doing over and over again for clients?
What was the transformation I was helping them get⌠that didnât actually require me to be there live, every single time?
And when I zoomed out, I realized:
⨠I already had the process.
⨠I already had the framework.
⨠I already knew how to get people results.
What I didnât have⌠was a system that let me deliver it without burning myself out in the process.
So I took everything I was doing manually and asked:
Can this be automated, recorded, templatized, or packaged?
If so⌠how?
and bam. solutions.
Because when you shift from doing everything customâŚ
To creating something scalableâŚ
You stop feeling like your business is just a treadmill⌠youâre just walking endlessly but not actually going anywhere.
InsteadâŚ
It becomes a vehicle that actually moves without you powering it 24/7.
That shiftâfrom service provider to scalable solution creatorâgave me my time, my peace, and honestly⌠my passion back.
I really feel for any of you who are in this position right now, because Itâs hard to feel lit up about your work when youâre drowning in the delivery.
When you zoom out and make the shift I did,
You realize donât need to be available 24/7 to make sales.
The whole process of the shift and setting up the tech is exactly what I walk you through inside Brilliance to Bankâ but hereâs a couple jumping off points if youâre drowning in life right nowâŚ
And spoiler alert: It doesnât have to be complicated.
It just has to be intentional.
So here are the goals:
⨠Step 1: Turn what you do into a product people can buy. - that seems pretty self explanatory⌠but This is where you take your brilliance out of your brain and turn it into an actual thing someone can buyâwithout you being the one who personally delivers it every time.
⨠Step 2: Shift from 1:1 to one-to-many delivery - So instead of defaulting to 1:1 offers, I want you to flip the script: Make your group or digital offer the main eventâ And let 1:1 become the premium upgrade, not the baseline.
⨠Step 3: Automate the journeyâso it works with or without you. - You know I wasnât going to skip this one. Because scaling without automation? Thatâs just a fancy way of staying stuck.
I can not clap at this enoughâŚ
This is how you stop trading time for money.
This is how you scale your brilliance without burning outâŚ
not just by âgotta work harderââŚ
Youâve worked hard enough building your business up to this point⌠but youâve built it in a way thatâs dependent on you.
And thatâs not your fault.
Thatâs how most of us were taught!
But you donât have to stay stuck there.
Youâre the CEO.
So start building like it.
Nowâif youâre listening to this and youâre nodding your head like YES. This is exactly where Iâm at⌠then hereâs what I want you to do next:
đđź Head to @laceysbestlife on Instagram and comment or DM me the word BANKâand Iâll send you my step-by-step system for building a business that runs in the background of life.
Itâs called Brilliance to Bankâand itâs the exact framework I used to turn my service-based business into a sustainable, scalable, automated system that brings in sales even when Iâm off the grid, making snacks or chasing my toddler in the backyard.
Orâ you can grab it in the show notes and start simplifying your business literally RIGHT NOW.
now, one last thing before you goâŚ
If this episode spoke to you, would you do me a favor?
Screenshot it, share it to your stories, and tag me @laceysbestlife. Let me knowâwhatâs one thing youâre doing manually in your business that youâre ready to let go of?
Iâd love to celebrate that shift with you.
Because youâre not meant to do it all.
Youâre meant to build something that works with you, not against you.
And Iâll be right here, cheering you on every step of the way.
Until next time,
Cheers đĽ, Lacey
