A Letter to My Body-Coming Home to Myself

Today, I want to offer a letter to my body — not from shame or criticism — but from a place of radical truth, tenderness, and love.
Because I know… I am not alone in this.
So many of us — especially those of us with sensitive souls — have struggled to feel safe in our own skin.
PART 1: The Letter
Dear Body…I am so sorry for all the times I treated you like a burden.For all the times I judged you, ignored you, pushed you beyond your limits.I thought I needed to fix you… when all you ever wanted was to hold me.You carried me through grief, and I blamed you for breaking.You protected me when I was too young to understand pain, and I called you weak.You changed — as bodies do — and I thought something was wrong.But now I see…
You are the temple of my soul.
You are the translator of my energy.
You are the mirror of what I have yet to love inside me.
And I want to come home.
Not just spiritually…
But fully — body, mind, and soul.So here I am, laying down all the weapons I used against you…
And asking, gently:
Can we start again?
Let’s be honest…
Being human is intense.We feel pain.We age.
We bleed.
We stretch.
We ache.
We carry so much — not just physically, but emotionally, ancestrally, energetically.
And when you’re a soul that remembers the stars…
When you’re someone who came to Earth with a mission…
It’s easy to feel like the body is too slow, too limited, too… dense.
But here’s the truth that changed everything for me:
Your body is not your prison.
It’s your portal.You didn’t come here to escape the body.
You came to embody your light.
PART 3: Coming Home — Practices for Sacred Embodiment
Here are some soul practices that helped me begin again with my body:
1. Touch yourself with reverence.
Place your hands on your heart, belly, thighs — and instead of judging, bless them.
Say: “I’m here. I see you. Thank you.”
2. Move like you’re sacred.
Not to lose weight. Not to punish.
Just to feel… alive.
Dance. Stretch. Breathe. Let your body speak.
3. Listen to her storieEvery ache has a message.
Every scar is a memory.
Every craving is a communication.
Ask your body: What are you trying to tell me that I haven’t heard yet?
4. Nourish like you’re worthy.
Feed your body from a place of care, not control.
What would change if you asked: What would love feed me today?
PART 4: Final Soul Message
Your body is not here to betray you.
She’s here to house your soul’s mission.
And the more you soften, the more you listen, the more you bless…
The more you’ll realize:
You were never lost.
You just hadn’t come fully home…
to her — your sacred body.
To you — the soul who chose this exact vessel for a divine reason.
So repeat after me, if you feel ready:
“I forgive myself. I forgive my body. I come home now.
I bless this skin, this heart, this temple.
I am no longer at war with myself.
I am safe here.
