The Leftovers
Episode 24 - Heaven, Harpazo, and Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday marked Jesus' strategic entry into Jerusalem during Passover, riding on a donkey while sacrificial lambs were being brought into the city. The crowds expected a military revolutionary like Judah Maccabee to overthrow Roman rule, but Jesus focused on spiritual transformation instead of political liberation. This disconnect between human expectations and divine purpose continues today, as many seek comfort and prosperity rather than embracing sacrifice and spiritual growth. The kingdom Jesus established operates contrary to worldly expectations, emphasizing service over power and spiritual transformation over social dominance.
