S2E15 - Praise, Worship, and Order

Praise and worship are not the same thing. Praise is recalling what God has done, while worship is a full surrender directed entirely at who God is. Scripture gives us a clear picture of how to honor God, including shouting, singing, kneeling, and giving thanks, not because it is tradition, but because God's Word calls us to it. Two extremes tend to pull people off course: chaotic emotionalism that mistakes losing control for the Holy Spirit's presence, and cold formalism that leaves no room for genuine response. The words we sing matter deeply, because songs focused on ourselves train us to make worship about us rather than God. Worship is not just something we offer to God. It forms us, positions us rightly before our Creator, and connects us to the eternal reality of His kingdom.
