Faith is one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity, and many believers have unknowingly replaced it with something closer to a formula or even a spiritual technique. Practices like manifesting, visualization, and positive confession are not biblical faith. They are rooted in the belief that your mental focus and energy can shape reality. True biblical faith is not about believing hard enough to get what you want. It is about trusting who God is, even when the outcome is not what you hoped for. The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3 captures this perfectly. They did not declare their way out of the fire. They were thrown in, and it was there, in the middle of the flames, that God showed up. Real faith holds on to the goodness and sovereignty of God regardless of circumstances.
