Racing back to their enigmatic nature spirit ally, the Protectors barely set foot in town before more villagers come to them with a litany of problems. Despite the mounting requests, they manage to meet with Great Willow, whose bleak insights into the fog barrier leave the party with more questions. Meanwhile, Osu indulges himself and gets some much-needed rest; and Old Matsuki presents a potential lifeline: a tertiary option for food supplies. The Party begins its northern exploration that is rudely interrupted by the region’s formidable megafauna. Rest remains elusive, and danger is ever-present.
