Closing out strong, saving the day. Hero of the hour, high on Cloud9. Truly unstoppable. You're a powerhouse, a juggernaut, not just a hero, but damn near a superhero. With cheering fans, rack's applause, and adoring groupies. You know you found the right place. Welcome to the Oddbox. When, if ever, have you felt more than human?
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, man. In the bed. Like when you're asleep.
SPEAKER_02Perfect answer. Yeah, when you're asleep. Yeah. Doing some doom scrolling.
SPEAKER_03I've been doing this for 12 hours.
SPEAKER_02I'm so good at this.
SPEAKER_04What do you think the traits of a human are? How do you quantify being more than human?
SPEAKER_05I'm just trying to quantify it too. I didn't really understand the question. It's one of these like abstract ones that doesn't make sense. Yeah. Because of the literalism. Uh-huh. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Just a little human.
SPEAKER_03I would hate to get together uh and play Pathfinder and have to use my imagination. That would just be the fucking worst.
SPEAKER_05Well, you have to be the thing that makes it fun is rooted in the reality of the fantasy, quote, unquote. Like this is just I there is no bounds to it, and I don't know what to say.
SPEAKER_03What are the bounds of Pathfinder?
SPEAKER_05The rule book. Wow. Spells and crap. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03We often refer to it. So then human averages.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Okay. I weigh about as much as two humans.
SPEAKER_01So pretty much your whole life.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah. Statistically, I'm much taller than most humans. Well, not much taller, but you know, taller. Yeah. I'm average height.
SPEAKER_02When I was young, I uh I could pluck flies out of the air just every time. Mr. Meaning, yeah, that's pretty good. Every time. Um, and I got so good that I could do it with two fingers. And I had that power for um like three or four years between 16 and and then it just kind of went away.
SPEAKER_01Did you make noises when you would catch them?
SPEAKER_02No, I just I I just found out that I could do it one day, and so I kept doing it, and uh I got really good at it.
SPEAKER_01How many flies did you murder?
SPEAKER_02Almost none. Uh essentially none.
SPEAKER_03Do you guys remember those little tiny plastic rubber band guns? They would like unfold and you would uh put a rubber band from like the sight in front down to like the little rashety gear thing. Yeah, the hand in the back. You'd pull the trigger and it'd fire the rubber band for it. One time my older brother shot a fly in half with one of those, and it was one of the coolest things I've seen. Shout out to Orin's uh accuracy.
SPEAKER_04He's gonna get recruited now to be a sniper. We already hear a crack shot, it'll be the seven flies story all over again.
SPEAKER_03Now he upgrades from one of those little dinky rubber band pistols to a full rubber band rifle.
SPEAKER_04When I was a real young guy, I weighed 192 pounds and I deadlifted 705. That's a lot. So that felt pretty, you know.
SPEAKER_02Superhuman Kyle's track career consisted of him like being smaller than everybody around him and then just completely outperforming the vast majority of them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Why didn't you go into the Olympics for anything?
SPEAKER_03Arrow to the knee.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, I herniated a disc in my back, and I had like some partial paralysis and pain and stuff in my right leg for like 12 years. That's his greatest regret. Thanks for bringing it up. It was pretty brutal. It was really a bizarre thing to go through as like an 18-year-old kid where you have like your whole future wrapped up in the sport, and then you get hurt so bad that like like there were colleges that were like, We're gonna give you a full ride, you can come here. And then I got hurt and they found out, and then like they wouldn't even answer the phone when I called. So it was like you got all these, I got all these coaches' phone numbers, and I sit down and dial them because back in the day we didn't have smartphones and stuff, and it just ring and ring and ring and ring and ring, and you'd be like, Those motherfuckers are bet that made you feel like old enough to have there's a lot of crazy stuff about that. I don't think I've told this story before on the podcast, but um, I got like uh like a hundred and fifty recruitment letters for doing sports, and I sat down one weekend and filled them all out at the advice of my coach, and it took me the whole weekend to fill them all out, and I put them in the mailbox. And then a couple months later, I used to always walk the dogs when I got to the end of the driveway. I'd take a right, and one day I was like, I'm gonna take a left. And I take a left and I go down the street about a half a mile, and all of my letters are in the ditch. So somebody had come and taken them all out of the mailbox and then realized there was no checks in them and just dropped them all in the ditch, and so they were all like they were all like sunfaded and smashed up against a culvert. And I was like, Oh, well, you know, just not meant to be sometimes, I guess.
SPEAKER_05So good by college aspirations. Yeah, I just had to pay for college like a chump. You know exactly which ditch your college aspirations went in.
SPEAKER_04I could take you there. We could point to it, and I'm like, this is it, this is the spot. This is where I realized all my dreams were dead.
SPEAKER_03Never thankful for the advantages you did have. Like being able to literally see the ditch that your dreams died in.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. No, but it was a good time. I learned a lot. It was very, I mean, it was worth it. So, you know.
SPEAKER_01Um, this ability has fallen off quite a bit, but uh especially in um our earlier years of dating, whenever Tony would do anything mean to me, Karma just like instantly had my back and he would suffer for it.
SPEAKER_03It was just when was I ever mean?
SPEAKER_01So many times. Can we like do a montage? I think I want a little bit of a yeah. Just in in the podcast, I think we can have at least four episodes of you being mean to me.
SPEAKER_03Just a super I'll do everyone at the podcast. That's just equal treatment. It wouldn't be fair just because we're sleeping together that I gave you, you know, handouts.
SPEAKER_01But your question was when were you ever mean? So you've been mean many times, anyways. Karma would instantly have my back. That was your superpower? Yep. That's when I felt more than human.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Um, I used to be able to drink like a liter of vodka. Wow. That's more like a problem. Back when I was an alcoholic, it was my superpower that I could drink more than anybody. And I was in the military. There were people who could drink in the military.
SPEAKER_03There were other alcoholics. Yeah. Yeah. What was your name? Uh like Breakup Jeff or something.
SPEAKER_05No, the Wrecking Ball. That's what it was. Yeah. I came in left to the right there. It was before that song came out.
SPEAKER_01She based it on you.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no. Um, I could like just never meant to start a war. Chug straight vodka or uh tequila or whatever. I remember I would like buy shots for everybody at the bar, but I would buy everybody like three shots. Um like that was my round. Yeah, everybody would take one shot and then I'm like, more. And they're like, no, that was enough. And I would just put them in a line. There'd be like 10 shots of tequila and just one right after the other. Like just down them all. Wow.
SPEAKER_01It's really sad.
SPEAKER_05Um, I did that multiple times, and yeah, I got to the point where I could tell the difference between like a stomach ache and my liver hurting. I'm sorry. I shouldn't laugh, but I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03How do you liver now? I drank so much that I could start differentiating my liver.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no, I was an alcoholic. I was drunk every single day for over a year. Good times. I'm glad you figured that out. Yeah, right. I'm not dead now. Yeah. But yeah, that was the superpower.
SPEAKER_03Alcoholism.
SPEAKER_05Blackout drunk.
SPEAKER_03We typecasted Gardas. Some people had the character and were like, who's gonna play Gardas? And then we found him.
SPEAKER_05I can juggle. Superhuman.
SPEAKER_01Cool. Like good for you.
SPEAKER_05It's pretty fiery. He is a pretty efficient juggler. Yeah. I've I've seen some good juggling acts. I'm not that good. Okay. Let's uh let's back it up there then.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I mean, those are pretty unusual people, you know.
SPEAKER_05This this is superhuman level of skill from the question.
SPEAKER_04Superhuman level of skill. Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. One time I tried to swim across the Puget Sound and I almost died. Yeah, that sounds about right.
SPEAKER_01Same superhuman. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Swimming distance is a lot things look a lot farther than or look a lot closer than they actually are when you're like looking out over water.
SPEAKER_04And the water's so cold, you get in it, you just arms and legs just quit working.
SPEAKER_01Did you go the long way across the Puta Sound? Yeah, I'm gonna make it.
SPEAKER_04I went Tacoma all the way to Vancouver. One shot.
SPEAKER_01No wonder you almost died.
SPEAKER_02Can you come pick me up from the sand once?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I can't swim back, I don't think. I'm tired. I need a sandwich. A warm sandwich.
SPEAKER_03Tony, did you have a No, I've never felt more than you and pretty consistently less than no.
SPEAKER_02Pretty regularly. I know what that's like. Let me tell you. I was pretty excited when I was a kid and I learned how to throw playing cards. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But then you find out that lots of people can do that. But this was, you know, this was at a time when the internet was brand new and you didn't have sorts of stuff like that. But I just, you know, when I when that first happened, I was like, oh, I made a discovery.
SPEAKER_01I feel like you were pretty special within the community that you were in. You grew up in a small town, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like the community of other people that can throw cards. No, no, it wasn't that many people. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Just the people around him. He was very special.
SPEAKER_04Small sample size. Yes. We moved out to the boonies when he was six, so there just wasn't that many people around. Yeah. You know.
SPEAKER_02All of the 20 kids in my class were very impressed.
SPEAKER_01See? Superhuman.
SPEAKER_05I wanted to be a card shark at one time and taught myself how to deal off the bottom. Oh, nice. But I had to deal in this really fucked up way where I like pulled the cards backwards or something. And people were immediately suspicious.
SPEAKER_04Like you show up and the first card that you deal, they're like, what the fuck, man?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they wouldn't they wouldn't know which cards were dealt from the bottom, but something's up. Uh-huh. Something's going on. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty much it.
SPEAKER_02That's all I got.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty much it. I'm real good at math. Not the adding and subtracting kind. What kind of math? Playing in division. Yeah. He gets it. Only four types of math. The add, subtract, multiply, and divide kinds. Okay. I'm not good at any of those. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Irrational numbers, hell yeah.
SPEAKER_05I'm good at running, but as long as I don't have to go too fast. Thank you. He gets it. Or too far. Yeah, right. I'm not good at running. Wind it after about 20 steps. Yeah. I'm good at math, just not the kinds that you do.
SPEAKER_01Not the kind you're familiar with. You wouldn't understand. I do.
SPEAKER_05I'm good at the kind that nerds do.
SPEAKER_03No nerds here.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_05Not a one of them. Yeah, all you do is like add and subtract in DD. Yeah, I know, and I'm terrible at it.
SPEAKER_03We've already firmly established that. Speaking of uh people who are more than human, let's talk about you freaks or ghosts. You killed some long-neck monsters in their scary stone palace, and you step through a portal into the living world. Here you realize how much of a fog you've been living in, and the real world seems so crisp and clear. Willowshore is a fraction of what you left behind before casting the transmigrate ritual. It's abandoned, overwrown, vandalized. And as you walk out of town hopeful of restoring it to its formal comforts, you find the demolished statue of Ugly Q. Upon reaching Karahai, you see that it too has fallen significantly from its former glory. Abandoned buildings, beggars in the street, and a militaristic town center where people march to and fro, hoping to make a deal, to eat out a living, to scrape together a few coins. You wait outside of town, conversing with an owl. And as night falls, you fail miserably to sneak your way into town. What is the hero point situation? I have three out hero points over here. Take a look at this guy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I'm never spending them again.
SPEAKER_03I like that.
SPEAKER_05Never.
SPEAKER_03Other than to save off dying, where you'll have to spend all of them. No, he's just gonna die.
SPEAKER_04Already dead. I'm gonna spend my hero points immediately.
SPEAKER_03You know, I don't believe that.
SPEAKER_01How many do you have?
SPEAKER_04One.
SPEAKER_03One hero point, three hero points. Also hero point. Also one hero point.
SPEAKER_01One hero point.
SPEAKER_03And a hero point.
SPEAKER_01Hey, everyone has a hero point. Yay!
SPEAKER_02This is a pretty high average for the table. Yeah. Congratulations.
SPEAKER_01Because we literally all were just given one. Yeah, right. For playing the game.
SPEAKER_03And I'm sure you're about to spin them as you guys come tripping over each other walking into town. You want to be selfie, but you're having an active conversation. You're correcting each other's steps. I'm going to take you to Karahai Village. And I'm going to give you a second to put yourselves on the map where you guys think you would be. This is where I thought you would be as you came from the east and are making your way west.
SPEAKER_05I'm just like, Ari, Ari, look at how stealthy I'm being.
SPEAKER_01I'm like a ghost, I can't see me. Yeah. This seems fine. I feel like we'd be hugging a building.
SPEAKER_03There are no corrections.
SPEAKER_05Wait, I want a correction.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I want to see what happens and then I'm going to make a correction.
SPEAKER_05I'm just I'm just like back here behind this, behind this little uh what are these things called? Awning. Okay. The top of the house.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But again, it's an awning, so there's still room to see underneath it. So you're not actually behind anything. I don't know.
SPEAKER_05That kind of looks like a skateboard ramp to me. Yeah. Oh, it does. Yep. A hundred percent. I'm hiding behind the skateboard ramp.
SPEAKER_03So you guys sneak into the skate park. The cara high skate park.
SPEAKER_05Graffiti everywhere. Oh, sick. Ari, I didn't know you guys had this.
SPEAKER_01I scraped up my knees here one day. It was really bad.
SPEAKER_04They have a subway.
SPEAKER_00Spirits! There's spirits over here! Get them!
SPEAKER_03And you see these guards, these heavily clad armored guards come running around the corner, and they are not wasting any time as they begin to attempt to exercise you.
SPEAKER_05Wait, they disappeared again. Oh they're back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they just faded in and out.
SPEAKER_03Maybe they're the spirits.
SPEAKER_05Um I was I was gonna say, like, why do they look kind of blurry? But it's the it's raining.
SPEAKER_03It is raining in the graphic. It is raining and it is dark outside, but all of you have low light or dark vision.
SPEAKER_05Or magical dark vision.
SPEAKER_03Or magical dark vision. This guy draws his bow and he's gonna fire two arrows at Pops.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Can you sustain more than once per turn?
SPEAKER_03I think so.
SPEAKER_05Like if I want to sustain all three actions.
SPEAKER_03Probably.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Don't worry about it. Um yeah, it's hard to I mean there are spells that have single action casting, um, and you can quicken cast them sometimes, quicken cast sometimes at like level 10 or above where you can get to sustaining three spells. It's hard to get to sustain three spells, because usually if you sustain two and you want to cast another, you need a fourth action, you know? You can get a single action or quicken quicken casting. So, but yeah, you could sustain, you could spend all three actions sustaining a spell. Cool.
SPEAKER_03He draws his bow, he knocks an arrow and rolls a natural one. Oh, buddy, he's so scared. He shoots his friend. He's just shaking. He'll try to launch another arrow.
SPEAKER_06G-ga-ga ghost.
SPEAKER_03Uh it's a 25 to try and strike pops.
SPEAKER_04Miss. He's also in the army. Diss. That was an alcoholism reference from everybody.
SPEAKER_05I thought it was army can't shoot straight. No, I wouldn't say that. Why did you laugh maniacally after it?
SPEAKER_04I just realized how fucked up that is to be like, oh, he's in the army, so he's an alcoholic, and then be like, no, I wouldn't say he can't shoot.
SPEAKER_06But everybody knew that his job is terrible, right? It's just drunk.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03The second guy. You hear that, runs up.
SPEAKER_05Oddbox podcast. Firm stance against the army.
SPEAKER_03It's not like you know what all our armed forces. Yeah. Let's just lump them all together. 27 to hit Pops.
SPEAKER_04That is a tie. What's that gag from the office? We support the troops. Both sides. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh it's gonna be 15 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03And then we will go to Pops turn.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Pops is going to first we're gonna put my eminence into Titanbreaker. And then we're going to um I don't get to move.
SPEAKER_04No. Well, is that as part of your initiative? Yeah, it's part of initiative. Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Uh uh, you were like, okay. Yeah. I think you might also be too far away.
SPEAKER_05No, I'm not. It's like 15 feet. I'm within 15.
unknownFive.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
unknownFive.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. That seems like a good idea. Is that cost in action?
SPEAKER_01We have powers. Power.
SPEAKER_02Well, then I'm gonna do something different. I'm gonna retcon my whole turn.
SPEAKER_03You haven't done anything yet.
SPEAKER_02I know. But we're retconning it. Perfect.
SPEAKER_03We're taking it all back. We're taking it back.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03So your power isn't in something.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. It's in Thousand League Sandals. I'm gonna proc thousand league sandals.
SPEAKER_03So we're not retconning anything.
SPEAKER_02No, not at all.
SPEAKER_01Reconning the thought that he had. Exactly. Out loud.
SPEAKER_06Recon the plane that I never said.
SPEAKER_02Um I'm gonna spark transcendence on Thousand League Sandals, and then I'm going to initiate uh my minor passion, which is uh or sorry, my minor power passion, and I'm going to inflame.
SPEAKER_04What color flames are you gonna choose?
SPEAKER_02Pops. Oh, Pops is gonna be uh You are blue. Yeah, he's gonna be a propane blue oh okay propane and propane. Um you know, blue and white to match the eyes.
SPEAKER_03Dang it, Bobby. That's my parse! I don't know you.
SPEAKER_02Uh so that's um pocket sand. That's my that's my entire turn. You guys can move if you want to. Do I have to do oh I get to move? Yep. Yep, everybody. I I procked Thousand Lake Sandals. I send it over to Titan Breaker. Everybody gets to move. It's uh you're full speed. I get to move my speed, right? Yep. Okay.
SPEAKER_05As a reaction.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Let's just surround this dude.
SPEAKER_03Wait, are you trying to move through the skate ramp right now? The skate ramp's difficult terrain. Yeah, skate ramp is difficult terrain. Do a flip.
SPEAKER_05I know it's not difficult terrain because I'm on a skateboard. I do a kick flip as I come over it. He's got that feet. He's got a board speed. I have a kick flip speed. I took a kick flip. Uh-huh. Oh, you're moving right there, Ari?
SPEAKER_01I have a plan.
SPEAKER_05Oh. Is that what I'm doing? I go. Okay. Never mind.
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_04I thought I was gonna be flanking with you, but then you moved again. Remember, you want to measure from the center of your person or to the opposite corner or whatever.
SPEAKER_01Are you talking to me?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_01I'm not trying to flank with him.
SPEAKER_04No, I'm talking about measuring stuff.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you're like measuring from the corner.
SPEAKER_04You gotta- Yeah, you gotta measure from the center. There you go. To the center.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04But if you move back one, you would be flanking.
SPEAKER_03Then it is my turn again. As he charges to the east, drawing his sword, wielding it with two hands. This attack is on Violet.
SPEAKER_05We didn't we didn't take any kind of a rest between like Willowshore and Karahai? How long does it take to get to Karahai?
SPEAKER_03I mean you guys I encourage you guys to heal up and stuff.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, right, right. Sorry. I meant like long rest. No. No. That's not happened yet.
SPEAKER_03This is your first night after stepping into the room.
SPEAKER_05We walked all the way from Willowshore to Karahai?
SPEAKER_03It's only like a isn't it not that far? It's really not that far.
SPEAKER_05But it is miles away. That's miles. I'm really good at running as long as it's not faster over distance.
SPEAKER_03Here comes the bastard sword strike. That is a 29 to hit violet.
SPEAKER_04Uh, is it a one-handed or two-handed bastard sword strike?
SPEAKER_03He's doing it two-handed right now. And they give me a little box to check if I want to do it two-handed, which actually changes my damage numbers. That's a hit. We are talking. Taking 13 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_05I already I already used my share life, so I'm not gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_03Uh second attack on Violet. Natural 20.
SPEAKER_04That's uh ghosts are immune to crits.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you wish almost max damage here. 42 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_04And that's nothing. It was 123, and so I erased the two and three and wrote eight on the other side. It was cute.
SPEAKER_03See, he is good at math.
SPEAKER_04Violet. Yeah. Is it my turn? It's your turn. It's time to ignite the passion, so I'm gonna burst myself into flames.
SPEAKER_01Ignite the passion.
SPEAKER_04Ignite the passion.
SPEAKER_03Is this what Pops just did?
SPEAKER_04Yes. Alright, what color are you? Two flaming ghosts.
SPEAKER_03Two flamers. What color is yours? Violet.
SPEAKER_04I mean, obviously. Purple. First one's gonna be purple.
SPEAKER_03So you're like a portal?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm like a portal. Okay, purple. People think they can go through me, and I keep having to tell them, even though I'm bigger than a tennis ball, you have to stay out, okay? And then I'm gonna try to bite this guy who's off guard in between me and Pops. Are you ready for the bite? I hope so. Do we need a flat check?
SPEAKER_00Uh no.
SPEAKER_04Sick. 27.
SPEAKER_03Uh, 27 is a hit, but this guy to the south is gonna take a reaction.
SPEAKER_04Oh my goodness, it's almost like he's a champion or something.
SPEAKER_03So he's going to swing on you, Violet.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03For that's pretty good. Uh 34.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's a crit. Nice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, nice. Another crit. I love that. Two-handed swing on Violet. Oh my god, same thing again. 42 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, no. Because we might need to get out of here.
SPEAKER_0342 is back to back. Why? Because you don't wear armor and you got crit twice. Um, go ahead and roll your damage. Wait, but what does this say? If the strike hits, the enemy attack is deflected, reducing the damage by eight or by sixteen if the war and strike was a critical hit. Can you do more than 16 points of damage?
SPEAKER_04We're about to find out. Alright. Thought your max was like 14. Uh, it turns out my max is actually 12. Uh I'm not gonna math.
SPEAKER_03So this will do no damage.
SPEAKER_04Well, no, hang on. Just a minute. Hang on, just a minute. Everybody pop your brakes. Yeah, everybody know it.
SPEAKER_05Okay, okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_04But you add a D6 to your patch, and you get to add a D6 of fire damage. So I might be able to get over 16.
SPEAKER_02Also, when the guy attacks you, you're allowed to reaction if you have your reaction. Uh no, you moved, so never mind. Here we go.
SPEAKER_04Never mind. That's not gonna, I'm not even gonna make it. It's not gonna make the 16. That's just about it.
SPEAKER_03It's his turn, so he would have a reaction right now.
SPEAKER_02Just gained your reaction. Well, now when he got attacked, it wasn't his turn. It was the other guy's turn.
SPEAKER_03He's getting attacked on his turn.
SPEAKER_04Okay, yeah, I'll go ahead and use it. Good practice. You know what I'm saying? What's happening? The guy who attacked me is gonna take 2d6 of fire damage because it's my reaction for the passion.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Which is gonna be six points of fire damage.
SPEAKER_03A reaction on a reaction. You said six?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um. Does this mean this other guy can use his reaction to warning strike?
SPEAKER_02Is it an attack? Is this a triple reaction chain?
SPEAKER_03What does it say?
SPEAKER_01What is happening?
SPEAKER_03What does it say? We're gonna have a meltdown.
SPEAKER_05So do you is this an attack? Is this considered an attack? Probably not. You didn't roll anything, right? You just used your reaction. So my my guess would be no.
SPEAKER_03Reactions can be considered an attack.
SPEAKER_02If you roll an attack, the creature takes two d6 fire damage, basic reflex save.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_01Does it have a tag though? A trait.
SPEAKER_02Well then it wouldn't be an attack. Minor spirit power, rare evocation, fire occult.
SPEAKER_03Usually reflex saves don't have the attack trait, right? Right. Yeah, they don't. Okay. So nope. I will make the reflex save for your six points. Twenty-eight.
SPEAKER_04Okay, he takes three points of fire damage. And I yell at Ari. We have to get out of air. Um, I still have two actions, right?
SPEAKER_03Well, how many was the passion?
SPEAKER_04Oh, two. And then the attack. Yeah, so I'm all out. Never mind. I lied. I'm all done. I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_03Can I have five actions, please?
SPEAKER_04Hey, that long neck dude got six.
SPEAKER_05He's worse than you, Tony.
SPEAKER_03No one's worse than me. Then we will go to Gardas.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03Uh you see Violet just getting hacked to pieces by great swords.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm down to 39 points of health, and they did 42. Holy shit. Both times they hit me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03This is fun. I was not expecting it to go like this. Right? These aren't even the leader's still in the back back there. Yeah, yeah. Giving orders. These are the weak ones.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Okay. I'm just looking through my cards for a second. I don't think there's anything. I have Vital Beacon. You can touch.
SPEAKER_03Get out of my brain. Exodia's not gonna help you.
SPEAKER_05I need to see if you activated my cards. Let's be real. Um what I am gonna do is uh I guess two-action.
SPEAKER_03When everyone's playing Pathfinder, now one guy's playing Magic the Gathering.
SPEAKER_05Which is the one that used his reaction? The South Southern one, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the one most to the southwest.
SPEAKER_05That's what I thought. Um, so this other guy is close to me, but that's only when they get hit. Okay. I'm gonna risk it then. I think I'm gonna do a two-action heal to my buddy Violet. Um, I don't have to roll that. Where'd all my d8s go? Courtney!
SPEAKER_01Help me! Touch it. What do you want?
SPEAKER_05My d eights. Could have had a date. No, they were like right in front of me, by the way.
SPEAKER_01I don't have any in my own.
SPEAKER_03How do you not have any d eights?
SPEAKER_01I like I had all of my dice laid out last time, and then I've just put some stuff back. D eights didn't make it.
SPEAKER_05That's not great. Love D8s. 43 points of healing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's one crit hit back.
SPEAKER_05I know. It and it was a kind of a crappy roll. One, two, four, four. Not great. Not great. Yeah. But still, 42 is not nothing. It's not nothing. Mm-hmm. Um, so Gardas' tattoos glow and light shoots from his eyes into you like a laser beam. Um, and then he's going to just turn and attack another one next to him.
SPEAKER_03Who has the best I-beam power? Cyclops, Superman, or Gardas?
SPEAKER_05Cyclops.
SPEAKER_03You like the punch dimension?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't like Cyclops. I think he's ridiculous.
SPEAKER_05He is. He's a total dick.
SPEAKER_01That's why I don't like him.
SPEAKER_05Ooh, that's good.
SPEAKER_03That's an This is one to the north? Oh, it has to be.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. Um thirty-six to hit. That's it.
SPEAKER_03Say it. Thirty-six?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Say it. That's a crit. Okay. Here's what's gonna happen. He's gonna take slashing damage. With a little bit of frost on top.
SPEAKER_00Oh no!
SPEAKER_03Uh, keep going. They have bonus damage that I haven't been calculating.
SPEAKER_05You dirty dog. Thirty-six points of damage.
SPEAKER_03Dang!
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And that's the end of my turn.
SPEAKER_02Big hit.
SPEAKER_05God, I feel like I should be faster right now. Um, yeah. Uh okay. So yeah, just slashes into this guy in his ghostly frost.
SPEAKER_00Oh, wait a minute.
SPEAKER_05No. Next person's turn. I'm done. Turns over.
SPEAKER_04Unless you want to give him extra turns.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, actually, then I will say, I'll keep going. Turns back on.
SPEAKER_03In the far back, will do warning strike.
SPEAKER_01It's ranged.
SPEAKER_03One of the warden's enemies within a hundred feet attack one of the warden's allies or a person the warden has sworn to protect. I'm gonna say they're within a hundred feet.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. I don't think so. Each one of those squares is 25, right? Yeah, let me get out the measuring tool. We're gonna have video evidence of this.
SPEAKER_03Here comes the 350 feet. Here comes the range strike on Gardas with the longbow. I already said he had out. Composite longbow. Oh, that's probably. That's only a 26 to hit.
SPEAKER_05Do we have any bonuses to our AC right now?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_05Don't answer so quickly. Think about it for a little bit. Okay. Because I remember us having.
SPEAKER_01I was the one giving you a bonus to AC. I'm not currently doing that.
SPEAKER_03Minimum damage, 11 points of piercing damage.
SPEAKER_05Resist 10 piercing.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's good.
SPEAKER_05One point of piercing damage.
SPEAKER_03But this guy will get eight back.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's fine. But you see, like, as this is all happening, an arrow flies through and it just goes straight through Gardas and uh sticks into the skate ramp aside of him. So what the hell?
SPEAKER_03You guys see that? Holy shit. It is the ending of round one, and it is Ari's turn. That's right, Kyle. End of round one. How's coming?
SPEAKER_04You don't get hurt.
SPEAKER_01Um, so I did have a plan. They moved into a way it moved in a way that I can't really execute it, but I am going to do Dirge of Doom, so all three of them will be affected, and then I will cast a uh second level soothe on Violet Wagon. She's like, we're here on behalf of Kugopti.
SPEAKER_05Oh, really? What the hell are we? Damn. I I'm like, no, we're not.
SPEAKER_01I want to be scary. What the hell are you talking about? I'm lying, okay?
SPEAKER_03Just like the way you guys snuck into town.
SPEAKER_01Uh okay, so I got 19 on the dice, plus eight, so 27.
SPEAKER_05Oh, you shouldn't lie about that.
SPEAKER_01And you have a plus two I think status bonus to mental effects.
SPEAKER_05Noise.
SPEAKER_01Uh for one minute.
SPEAKER_05Thank you. Yeah. Little Gardus judges you.
SPEAKER_04Okay, that guy's turn's all done, right? Aries? 12 actions.
SPEAKER_03It is the beginning of round two.
SPEAKER_05Oh, pickles. Wait, you just did your whole turn?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I did your whole turn. That took like two seconds.
SPEAKER_03That's what happens when you know the game. I had the whole round to prepare. So this guy in the back is like kill the scary lizard and then leave them. We must report back to Kaimago. So Good luck with that one guy. Hey, you know Kaimago. This attack will be on Violet. No. First arrow. 31?
SPEAKER_04That's a crit.
SPEAKER_03Yes. It's just arrows though. They're not as bad, right? Uh 26 points of piercing damage. Second arrow. Natural 20. Oh my god. I'm so glad I wouldn't grab this dice. Put it back. This other arrow straight for your third eye. 28 points of piercing damage.
SPEAKER_04That's not so bad.
SPEAKER_03And then he's feeling pretty confident. Third arrow. 24? That's a hit. Oh my god, you suck. 18 points of piercing damage.
SPEAKER_05Finally, we gotta get you something more than just a net. I feel very exposed. Yeah, the net's full of holes.
SPEAKER_04It's a beautiful net, but it's not working. It's trapping the arrows.
SPEAKER_01Need different plans.
SPEAKER_04It's trapping the arrows.
SPEAKER_03I said 24, would a 23 still hit?
SPEAKER_04Uh yes, sir.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04You should have said 3. Okay, we all make mistakes.
SPEAKER_03Actually, never mind. I was wrong. It's calculating the frighten for me. Moving on to the next enforcer. This is the one sandwiched between all three of you. Dual wielding his or uh uh two-handed wielding his bastard sword. He feels surrounded. He's a little scared. But he heard the orders to kill the scary lizard. Who is off guard to these attacks? Because you are flanked. Here comes the swing on Violet.
SPEAKER_04Violet's gonna be in soul degradation.
SPEAKER_05What how much hit points do you have?
SPEAKER_0437. 29 to hit?
SPEAKER_05That's a hit. Oh god. We need to get you some clothes. W would leather armor even give you that much more armor?
SPEAKER_03Uh 20 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Do you have your reaction back? No, it's not his turn yet.
SPEAKER_03Second swing. We'll be a 22. That's a hit. 21 points of slashing damage?
SPEAKER_05Violet's down. No, you are not. Yeah, you go. You're up with ten. Yeah, redu uh resist death, and when you're reduced to zero hit points, instead you're reduced to ten hit points and get soul drag degradation. So you're ten hit points. Soul degradation.
SPEAKER_03So you're instantly exposed to it? Is that what it's saying?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh amazing. I didn't expect to happen so soon. This is beautiful. Your sense of self becomes subsumed by ghostly desires. This could eventually render you a senseless shell of your former self. Give me a will save. That's correct.
SPEAKER_01I believe you have a plus one to this from the ritual.
SPEAKER_0427.
SPEAKER_01That's a pass.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty good.
SPEAKER_03Don't gotta worry about it right now. Don't gotta worry about these stages of soul degradation.
SPEAKER_04So I can take it off my sheaf right now? Or am I do I have it like my next turn, I have to do it again?
SPEAKER_03No, it's anytime you would gain the wounded condition, right? Or in this case, this power uh implies it it's like a curse or a disease sort of thing. So if you pass, you don't have it. But as you fail, then you'll have it, and then you'll have to progress through stages each time you go uh with lingering effects. So rather than like a disease or poison which might last hours or days, this is indefinite while you're in the living world. Okay, he has one more action. He was told to kill you. Here's the swing. It's cracked. Uh that's a 19 to hit.
SPEAKER_04Finally. That's a miss. You dirty fucking.
SPEAKER_03The maximum map pops your turn. Oh, wait, actually. Some people are you kidding?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I am kidding. You are flat-footed. Oh. No, I'm not kidding. I have a real thing here, maybe. Maybe.
SPEAKER_03I don't know what's happening. Yeah, I mean not. Pump your brakes. Just pumped up. Just listen. Just wait. Oh, I'm pumped. They're so pumped up. Um. Tell me slowly.
SPEAKER_05I'm getting less pumped as time goes by.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'm trying as hard as I can.
SPEAKER_04Five seconds ago. You're always on the lookout for danger and can react in an instant. Your perception, blah, blah, blah. At the start of each one of your turns, you gain an additional reaction that can oh uh never mind. Can't use it.
SPEAKER_03It can do it. What's not exciting? Pops.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Uh Pops is gonna. Pops is going to spark transcendence on Titan Breaker. He's going to shift that over to Thousand League Sandals. Uh, Kyle, you can have the Radiant for 16 health points. Go on forever. Here comes the swing on the guy just to the southwest of me. That is a seven on dice, which isn't the greatest, but I don't think I'm gonna change my hero point for it. So it does a 26 hit.
SPEAKER_03That's a hit. Plus one. Nice. He's frightened and off guard to you.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, okay. Wait, why plus one? Are you doing something? Sorry. No, it's from the I have that written down.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So damage on dice is 11. Oh, I get to roll another d6 because I'm impassioned. Because of the flames.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna warding strike this with the guy in the back. Okay. So uh hold on to your damage for a second. Write it down if you have to. Uh, but this bow strike will be on pops. Oh shit, that's not good at all. 22.
SPEAKER_02That's a terrible roll. That's a miss.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, okay. Um, I do I I think I still get the damage if the strike hits the enemy attack. Nope. Nope. No damage reduction. It all goes through.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so then uh the guy right next to me, he takes 34 points of damage.
SPEAKER_03Ooh, what a hit.
SPEAKER_02And I am going to swing again.
SPEAKER_03Everyone track that value for me real quick. What does it say on him right now? It says injured. Injured. Two. Badly injured.
SPEAKER_01Badly injured.
SPEAKER_03No normal injury. Here comes Violet's hover, say poorly built.
SPEAKER_02It says dinosaur. Special.
SPEAKER_01Poorly outfitted.
SPEAKER_02Okay, here comes the swing.
SPEAKER_04You are gonna hate Violet when I get armored. Oh my god, it's gonna be a nightmare for me.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna be so pissed all the time.
SPEAKER_01I'm excited.
SPEAKER_02That's a 17 on dice, minus maps of five for 12 plus 19 for a 31. Plus one. 32.
SPEAKER_03With the fear, with the off guard, we have a critical hit. Oh yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Which means he's immobilized now, too.
SPEAKER_02Damage die and my passion die. He just fucking sunk into the ground. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Wow, I wish I held on to that warding strike.
SPEAKER_02810 plus so that's 18 damage. Do you get your fire on this one too? Double is 36. I just rolled it. Oh, okay. I rolled it.
SPEAKER_0336? Yep.
SPEAKER_02That seems like a low crit for you. My damage is not great. And I also I I started off with Titan Breaker, so I was in my lower damage bracket.
SPEAKER_01Near death. I repeat, he's near death.
SPEAKER_02And that is so close. My turn.
SPEAKER_03Then it is my turn. The last enforcer to the southwest who is flanking on Violet. Here comes the strike on Violet.
SPEAKER_04Natural one. Again.
SPEAKER_0327?
SPEAKER_04That's a hit. It's less than 16 points of damage, though.
SPEAKER_03Uh and it's not a crit, so you don't go to dying two, which is good.
SPEAKER_05Would he he doesn't he's not wounded? Or oh wait.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's what that means. What's we don't we don't gather the wounded conditions anymore? No, you get exposed to soldier degradation.
SPEAKER_03But you didn't go down, right? You instead of going down, you get the 10 hit point sort of thing.
SPEAKER_01You said dying too, though, and I think that was confusing.
SPEAKER_03Well, you still have the you still get the dying value. You don't get the wounded value. Wounded and dying are very different things. Okay. You still get dying. Kind of, but I'm not gonna spoil that treat until we get there. Don't push me.
SPEAKER_04Tasty treats.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that is not good damage. 16 points of damage? Ugh. Any reduction, guys? Oh, are you no. No damage reduction there.
SPEAKER_05If we ever reduce damage aside, he does all the time.
SPEAKER_01Right. I don't have it, but we also two of us have resistance.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Are you down? I'm down. Dying one.
SPEAKER_01So yes, Jeff.
SPEAKER_04Does when does Does that mean I get exposed to soul degradation again?
SPEAKER_03No, because you're not increasing your wounded value. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02When does resist death proc again?
SPEAKER_05Uh 24 hours. Ah, I see it. Once a day. Okay. As soon as I heal him, then he will roll for soul degradation.
SPEAKER_03I will put Vox. Oh.
SPEAKER_01That'd be cool if you could just do it every time. Never go down.
SPEAKER_03It is not letting me put him. It's may Oh, he's going in front of pops every time. I can't.
SPEAKER_02That's weird.
SPEAKER_03Can't do it right in betweens. So I'll just put this guy at 22. There we go. Uh little workaround. Little workaround. Let's see. That was one swing, I believe. Coup de gras. So I could, right? I could. That'd be so delicious.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they said kill the lizard.
SPEAKER_03Uh, and it looks like he goes down. They're a little surprised. Captain, his body hasn't gone away. It's just lingering here. He five foot steps up and swings at Gardas with the maps. 36?
SPEAKER_05Uh, hit. Wait, did we have a plus to our AC for anything? No. God damn it. Crit.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Fun.
SPEAKER_05What the hell, man? I'm the wizard. These guys rolling to hit, man. You're violating orders.
SPEAKER_04Natural 20 would have meant that his to hit was 21.
SPEAKER_00What?
SPEAKER_04You said it was a 36 to hit with the map.
SPEAKER_00Did I? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03And I was thinking, like, that's a better to hit than Pops has.
SPEAKER_05How's that a 26 that barely hits? I'm gonna- you know what? It should miss. It should miss for that.
SPEAKER_01Gotcha. Good job, Tom. I am good at math.
SPEAKER_03And that is his turn, so we'll go to dying Gardas. I'm not dying. You are now because of that crit.
SPEAKER_01What crit? I'm confused.
SPEAKER_03I got excited.
SPEAKER_05Um, so. Okay. Um. So you you moved in initiative order because of that. Aw, Jesus. It like you almost skipped your entire turn.
SPEAKER_03Isn't it? It's funny how that works out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, right? Because he was next to go when he got knocked out.
SPEAKER_01Um I think it honestly is it's probably better, so it gives him a little bit more time.
SPEAKER_05It it it's because otherwise he would have been I understand why they do it, but it also kind of sucks. Um, because now if I were to heal him, which I probably still should heal you. Alright.
SPEAKER_03That's also part of it, though, is like it's kind of like the flavor of it, right? Like he's still prone. He still like dropped everything and stuff, so he's still probably not the target.
SPEAKER_01Drop the net.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03My cloak.
SPEAKER_05His net fell out.
SPEAKER_04My shawl and my backpack have fallen off.
SPEAKER_01Can you stabilize?
SPEAKER_05I can.
SPEAKER_01Do you think it might be better to do that?
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_05It's never better. Okay. Um shit, and he's like right where I would need to be for flanking. Your dead body. You can stand on top of me, I won't be mad about it. They're difficult terrain? Oh, so I can't. You can't stand on it.
SPEAKER_03Can I end my you can never end your movement on someone else's square.
SPEAKER_05So then no, I I can't.
SPEAKER_03You can't share spaces. That's basic.
SPEAKER_05That's basic. Then why'd you tell me to do it? Anyway. Okay, so I guess I meant philosophically.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. Violet wouldn't have been offended by you walking on her body. She would have been like, ah, whatever it takes. And it's Violet's body, so it's greater difficult terrain. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Probably that cracked her back and it felt nice.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Alright, I am going to attack the one to the north of me that's near death already.
SPEAKER_03Good luck, chump.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. 36. Roll this here. Yeah, right. Oh, I'm gonna turn in one of these hero points on that natural two.
SPEAKER_03So much for never using them.
SPEAKER_05Hey.
SPEAKER_03Liar.
SPEAKER_05You tried to crit me with the son of a bitch.
SPEAKER_03I definitely lied about that roll.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. 100%. Um, that one's much better. 32 to crit.
SPEAKER_03Are you sure it's not a 22?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. That's a crit. That is a crit? I didn't think it would be. I thought that would just be a normal hit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh, do you think you can clear his remaining two points of health?
SPEAKER_05Let's find out. 44 points of damage. Overkill. Super dead. Yeah, so these guys are sitting here, like sitting here looking at his friends, um, and I just like high strike axe up over my head and just like cut him in half down the middle, and this like town guard is just sliced and falls apart, and then I turn around with a big smile on my face, and I reach out towards uh towards Violet and do a two-action heal.
SPEAKER_03Um Gardas is like celebrating killing a town guard, and Ari, you kind of like take it in as he says it. These don't seem like the town guards you remember from Karahai. That's that description's a little off.
SPEAKER_04I'm glad that we're in the murder hobo phase of the campaign where we're killing the good guys. They attacked us. It feels nice.
SPEAKER_05Oh, nice. Yeah. Soul degradation? Yes. You get because whenever you would become wounded, you get soul degradation. So you have to roll again on the thing, whatever it is.
SPEAKER_03It's a will save.
SPEAKER_04Will save.
SPEAKER_01Didn't they save it?
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna turn in my hero point on my natural one. It would have been so much fun. So should I keep it? No, I already have the hero point. He was excited about it. He's against us.
SPEAKER_03I'm not against you guys. I'm just for the story.
SPEAKER_01Sweet and beautiful destroy your dice. Your sweet and beautiful roll your dice.
SPEAKER_0429.
SPEAKER_01Okay. That's a pass.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05All right, that's sweet and beautiful roll your dice. That's that's the end of my turn. So like I'm just I turn around and I'm just grinning at these people as I as I heal my fallen comrade, and they thought they killed the lizard and they didn't.
SPEAKER_03Ari.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Ari will take a five-foot step. And she'll play hide behind Violet's body. Um, shut up. Uh, and she'll reach over and cast invisibility on Violet Wagon. And she's like, oh no! Her body's gone! And then whisper, stay still, don't attack.
SPEAKER_05Come on, Violet's kill these fuckers.
SPEAKER_01That's my turn.
SPEAKER_04The invisibility token, like a just a horrific monster face. It is cool because I think everyone else just sees you as like a swirling portal now.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but we still see the horrific monster face.
SPEAKER_03The things that come out of invisibility. Uh that is Ari's turn. Yep. Then we will go to the beginning of round three. The commander in the back that's been slinging arrows. Retreat! Retreat! We have to report to Kaimago! And he is going to launch some arrows.
SPEAKER_04At Violet.
SPEAKER_03At Ari.
SPEAKER_04At Violet Square, just 900 arrows.
SPEAKER_03That's a pretty good roll. That's a pretty good roll. 37?
SPEAKER_01That's crap.
SPEAKER_03I thought so. I didn't, I double checked my math, guys. Don't worry. It's a 37.
SPEAKER_00Do I get that bonus die? Do I get that bonus die?
SPEAKER_03I got that bonus die. 30 points of piercing damage?
SPEAKER_01That's a double.
SPEAKER_03Oof. Second arrow on Ari. Natural one.
SPEAKER_01That's a crit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was gonna say it is a crit, isn't it? Klutz. He drops the weapon he was using. Oh and so for his last action he will pick it back up.
SPEAKER_05He's not just gonna run. Seems more seems more scared than Clutzy.
SPEAKER_01I think Osu put soap on it.
SPEAKER_05He's not getting away.
SPEAKER_04Pops. He's not getting away. He said that with such certainty.
SPEAKER_02He is not getting away.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, on Rico is very different than before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Pops is here for business.
SPEAKER_01What's your movement speed?
SPEAKER_0250.
SPEAKER_03Shit. Enough.
SPEAKER_02Whoosh. And I'm standing behind him. On fire. On fire.
SPEAKER_03I just like kind of pictured like fighter jets and stuff going low over water, sort of thing. Like as you just like careen your way over to uh get right on top of this guy.
SPEAKER_02I know it's not raining now, but I in my headcanon it's raining and it just like splashes off everything.
SPEAKER_04Okay, it's absolutely raining. Yeah, but you're creating little vortices of raindrops as you move.
SPEAKER_01Also, Tony, is fear gone? Enemies are not feared anymore. Fear is gone. It's literally telling you that.
SPEAKER_02Um, and I would have uh I'd oh I already did it. Um you need a retcon again. Well, I just I wanted to spend my my Thousand League sandals so these guys can move if they want to.
SPEAKER_03I'll allow it.
SPEAKER_02Okay. And that puts me into Titanbreaker.
SPEAKER_03You might also want to do the Radiant while you're at it.
SPEAKER_02The move is the same. I am also going to give the Radiant to um Violet. Do you need it or should I give it to Ari? You should. Oh wait, I already gave it to Violet, didn't I?
SPEAKER_03Not this way. I don't know if you've given it to anyone this way. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'll give it to you.
SPEAKER_01Do we still target invisible people? Like I don't know if that's it's up to you, Tony. We made a big deal out of it when Ari was invisible.
SPEAKER_02Give me a free perception check. Oh, that's so close to being a natural 20. That's an eight on dice plus perception 16 or a 24.
SPEAKER_01Plus one.
SPEAKER_03You see where the raindrops aren't quite hitting the ground. If you want to give your radio to blackbox, you can.
SPEAKER_04I'll give it to Violet. Violet's gonna be back in the fight in no time. Okay.
SPEAKER_03And then I is anyone else moving?
SPEAKER_04Oh, did we get to move?
SPEAKER_03Yep. He sparked it. Could I get up? No, we uh decided that earlier. You can spend your reaction to stride. That's how it reads.
SPEAKER_05I think I'm gonna move. Cardis will move too.
SPEAKER_03He's gonna measure. Alright.
SPEAKER_02Okay. And then Pops is gonna tap this guy on the shoulder and hit him with his club. Here comes the swing. Natural 20. He's dripping into the ground. He's not gonna get away. No, he's not. Hold out a crit.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, commander retreat.
SPEAKER_02Don't forget your extra d6. Yep, extra d6.
SPEAKER_01Oh, oh, oh, I know.
SPEAKER_04That counts as a roll.
SPEAKER_02Uh 27 times two is 54. Bonk. Damn. Driven into the ground. Oh my god. There will be no retreat for you.
SPEAKER_01Woo-hoo. I like this new pops. Okay.
SPEAKER_02That's action to get over. Action to bonk. Here comes another swing. 19 on dice. Holy shit. That's gonna be another crit. Oh no. That's another crit. Uh maps 14 plus 19 for a uh 33 plus one. That's 34.
SPEAKER_0334?
SPEAKER_0234. That's a hit. Just a regular hit. Add my flame damage. 11 plus 12 is 23 damage.
SPEAKER_00What a turn.
SPEAKER_04He's also gone to badly injured.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_04So we've got a badly injured and a barely injured. And Violet, who's doing great. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of which, it's her turn.
SPEAKER_04It's Violet's turn. I'm going to draw and drink a health pot.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04And I'm gonna get up. Okay. Alright, sick. I'll roll my healing. I don't need to slow everybody down for that.
SPEAKER_03Then we will go to my turn. This mercenary to the south begins to regroup with his commander running away as he was ordered.
SPEAKER_05He's just gonna leave his commander behind.
SPEAKER_01He was ordered to run.
SPEAKER_03And then this attack will be on Pops. Bring it. Two-handed bastard sword strike!
SPEAKER_0235. Hit no crit.
SPEAKER_03Damn it! I don't think they can crit you without a 20 then.
SPEAKER_02I'm too tough.
SPEAKER_01I'm too tough.
SPEAKER_02Uh that also procs my fire damage, my reactive scorch. For 2d6. Oh, max damage, 12 damage. Flames erupt into his base.
SPEAKER_01There's a turkey.
SPEAKER_03Uh 20 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03He spent two actions to run away. He wanted to get in flanking, but he's too slow. Gardus.
SPEAKER_05Alright. So.
SPEAKER_03Everyone's using their measurement tools.
SPEAKER_01I hate that you can see that. I didn't realize it.
SPEAKER_05This cart is 20 feet away from him, right?
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01Why?
SPEAKER_05Um.
SPEAKER_01You gonna throw it?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, Gardas is after cutting that dude in half, literally, Gardas is fucking yoked. So he's just like pull puts his arms out and just like he's standing away from the cart, but just kind of like lifts his arms up in the air. Looks like he's really straining hard. Like, and this cart lifts up into the air. I'm gonna use uh telekinetic haul to lift this cart right here up in the air. The picture, the picture of me, yeah, swirling all this shit around, throwing it at people, and then I'm gonna sustain it to move it over above that guy and just like drop the entire cart on top of him.
SPEAKER_03I love this. It sounds dope. Does it actually work mechanically?
SPEAKER_05I mean, two actions to cast it, one action sustain to move it. Wait, do I get to Do I get to move it? I I want to see if I get to move it. I might have to not use a sustain to see if I um shit.
SPEAKER_03And obviously I won't be able to move stuff on the drawn map, but I do think this might also affect. I don't know if you're accurate enough to not also affect pops.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Actually, shit. Actually shit. This is something I want to do this actually.
SPEAKER_03I'm really I'm excited for this.
SPEAKER_05So it's two actions and I get to move it up to 20 feet, potentially suspending it in midair. When I sustain it, I can move it again for 20 feet. As long as it's as long as this thing is within 120 foot of range. So that means I have 40 foot. I'm gonna Pops, you're good. Yeah. I'm gonna crush pops too. Yeah, I want to get I want to get both of them, which does crush pops. So yeah, I'm gonna lift this cart up into the air and move it over all of them and just drop it on top of all of them.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna say it's a reflex DC, basic reflex DC against uh, let's call it your spellcasting modifier.
SPEAKER_05Alright, what about that one who is currently driven all three of them? Driven driven into the ground like a peg. Can he dodge it at all?
SPEAKER_03I'll give him a penalty.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03Let's see what happens with pops first.
SPEAKER_02What is my spell? 12 on dice, reflex 18 for a dirty 30.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, plus one, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Dirty 31. Yeah, that is a regular pass.
SPEAKER_03So half damage. Uh then I will roll for. Let's do the guy that can move. Reflex save. Oh, that's pretty good. 27?
SPEAKER_05Ah, barely pass. Well, a little a couple. That's close. You didn't pass at all. Yeah, he passed. Critically failed.
SPEAKER_03And then the guy that's immobilized with a penalty. Oh, 25.
SPEAKER_05What? That's actually, wait, no, that's a pass. That's right on.
SPEAKER_03So everyone takes half damage?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. It deals 275 damage.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_05No. It's 80. I mean, this is completely up to your interpretation at this point. I know. I'm trying to find a finding point. This looks like a really fucking heavy cart, though. It's loaded up with supplies and stuff in the back. Up to 80 bulk. I think it's exactly 80 bulk, whatever that means.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna call it 10d6.
SPEAKER_05Sweet.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_05Um roll this 1d6 10 times. 6. 6. Wait, shit, what is 6 plus 14? 14, thank you. And you're up to 14.
SPEAKER_03And that's half the dice, right?
SPEAKER_0514. Another six. Twenty. Twenty-two. Twenty-three. Twenty-five. Twenty-one. Nice. Thirty-two. Thirty-six. Thirty-six points of damage have to all of them.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty good. 36 points of damage against your enemies.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Gardas' like ghost veins are just popping out all over his body and his neck and stuff. You can see the liquid.
SPEAKER_03This cart explodes, supplies go everywhere. What? You know what? I like that hero point. Yeah, I get it back. Way to use your environment.
SPEAKER_01That was cool.
SPEAKER_05But yeah, he is just like high on unlife right now.
SPEAKER_01High on unlife.
SPEAKER_02Some guy runs out. He's like, my cabbages.
unknownMy cabbages.
SPEAKER_04Got him. He thought he was safe.
SPEAKER_01So is that guy still near death?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Then Curtis, is that your turn?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's my whole turn.
SPEAKER_03Ari.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Ari will pull out her shock rum and then cast electric arc on both of the baddies. Reflexes. And need reflex saves.
SPEAKER_03I'll give them the same penalty that uh I would like to say that immobilize does not actually come with penalties. That is a homebrew caveat that I've been doing to Yeah, because why wouldn't you?
SPEAKER_05I agree.
SPEAKER_03It seems weird that he's waist deep in the ground and can move his head.
SPEAKER_05Can even pass that, right? I think he should have failed.
SPEAKER_03Uh well, you know, it's also part of like circumstance and luck. Like you drop the card on him and you know he was centered under it, so the wheels didn't quite break.
SPEAKER_05No, you're being unreasonable. Okay. I can tell it.
SPEAKER_03Uh the captain gets a 33.
SPEAKER_01Pass.
SPEAKER_03The weaker guy gets a 32.
SPEAKER_01Pass. 13, so six to each. That's her turn.
SPEAKER_03Alright. It is the captain's turn. He's gonna try and pull himself out. So this is a uh escape against your class DC. Correct. I'm gonna get it. That's a really good roll. Just trying to figure out if he has an effect here. Uh 36.
SPEAKER_02That's a pass.
SPEAKER_03So he pulls himself out. He will drop his bow for free. Draw his bastard sword. Go! Go! You must report to Kaimago! Two-handed strike on Pops. 36?
SPEAKER_02No credit.
SPEAKER_03That seems low. Is that right?
SPEAKER_05Are you sure it's not 26?
SPEAKER_03It's 36. I just wish it was more. I don't think I can crit Pops if I wanted to. I don't know if a natural 20 would do it. 29 points of slashing damage. And that is his whole turn. Escape, draw, swing. So we'll go to Pops.
SPEAKER_02Alright. Pops is going to ignore the captain to the southeast. And he's gonna turn around. And he's going to spark transcendence on Titanbreaker.
SPEAKER_03This is gonna be really bad for him, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02We'll shift that over to Scars the Survivor. And uh here comes the attack on the poor, poor private.
SPEAKER_03Leave his privates alone.
SPEAKER_02Um that's only a nine on dice, so that's uh 30. I'm sorry, uh 20 uh 28 plus one, 29.
SPEAKER_03That's a hit.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Uh the captain will use boarding strike.
SPEAKER_02Bring it.
SPEAKER_03So here comes the attack. That is a 28 to hit.
SPEAKER_02That hits. I use my passion reaction to do 2d6.
SPEAKER_01That's my passion reaction.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so let me let me resolve mine first. Uh before this gets out of hand. Uh 10 uh 22 points of slashing damage. Okay. I'm ready for the damage that he takes now.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02That is nine damage.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Of propane fury.
SPEAKER_03Still alive. Still alive.
SPEAKER_02Still alive. And then my damage for my bonk.
SPEAKER_03Which is for what? Started all this madness.
SPEAKER_02Six plus my passion. Which oh, that's really good. Um that's 11, 19, 31 points of damage.
SPEAKER_0323 points of damage. Pops, don't let him get away.
SPEAKER_02He's trying, man. I know.
SPEAKER_00Damn. That's still pretty good. Okay.
SPEAKER_01It might be good to leave one survivor. Someone has to tell the tale.
SPEAKER_02They will tell the story with that corpse.
SPEAKER_05I was about to say we should actually uh the captain. What what is it? Uh non-lethal damage the captain. Knock him out, take his armor, take him, take him back.
SPEAKER_04We can take him with us still.
SPEAKER_02Cover him in lizard juices.
SPEAKER_03Take him with you with the case. I'm just saying. Take him with you where? Sorry, do your thing.
SPEAKER_02Okay, uh last action uh swing on the guy to the west with the maps. Ooh, I'm gonna hero point that natural five.
SPEAKER_03Oh wow. That's not even okay. Yeah. Desperate times.
SPEAKER_02That's much better. That's a 14 turns into 9 plus 19 is 28 plus 1 for a 29.
SPEAKER_03That's a hit.
SPEAKER_02Damage plus the passion.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna give him a bonus reaction to warning trick, and it's that's a 44 to hit.
SPEAKER_0210 13.
SPEAKER_03Normal hit.
SPEAKER_02That's a 25 damage.
SPEAKER_03That's a 20 that's a 25. It's a me. Hits a me! Woohoo!
SPEAKER_02We'll get sued for that, you guys. Gotta be careful. Oh yeah, we shouldn't cross paths with an attendee.
SPEAKER_03Hey, they don't know. They don't know who we're referencing right now. It's the Italian guy on The Simpsons.
SPEAKER_02Um, and I'm going to shift that back into Scars. Did I do that wrong? I think I did that wrong. I don't know. No, you did it right. I have no idea.
SPEAKER_03What's the problem? What do you think you did wrong?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I think I was I think I was in Scars of the Survivor off of my last bonk. I think you were too. Before less damage. Yeah, before less damage.
SPEAKER_03Heal up? Just on that last one?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Easy enough. I would say no harm, no foul, but you fucked him up, so that's good.
SPEAKER_02He had it coming.
SPEAKER_03Then we'll go to the invisible Violet wagon.
SPEAKER_04Um, Violet is going to do a hostile action. So it's gonna uh threatening approach. So stand up and charge and attempt to intimidate with frills out and everything. Yeah, can you do that when you're invisible? Yeah, I'm losing my invisibility.
SPEAKER_03Threatening approach, a hostile action? It sounds hostile. Maybe it's the noise that's scary.
SPEAKER_04The screaming and gurgling and whatnot.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's sad too, because like if you wanted to do an attack, they would be off guard to this attack, but if you're visible, then they're not off guard.
SPEAKER_02They'll be off guard because I'm flanking with pops. Uh also, isn't invisibility uh on on command? Like you get to dispel it? Yeah, I'm sure you can. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean for a free action. I don't know if he can dispel this. That's a good coin actually.
SPEAKER_03I don't even know what to look up for this.
SPEAKER_04Says sometimes spells prevent the target from using hostile actions, or the spell ends if a creature uses any hostile action. A hostile action is one that can harm or damage another creature, whether they directly or indirectly, or whether directly or indirectly, but not one that the creature is unaware could cause harm.
SPEAKER_03Alright, I'm gonna give you a uh chance to uh do this mostly based off of sound, uh, because threatening approach would not normally end in visibility. Uh so I'm just giving him a bonus to his will VC.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01That's fair.
SPEAKER_04Alright. Threat. Uh natural 19 for a 34.
SPEAKER_03Does not matter. That is a standard success.
SPEAKER_04Okay, he's frightened too.
SPEAKER_05Alright, and then I'm gonna bite. Yeah, an invisible ghost dinosaur just suddenly appearing in front of you. Screaming at you.
SPEAKER_03That is the second the frightened one was the noise. The frightened two is him just appearing his face. Ghost Raptor.
SPEAKER_04Ghost Raptor. Uh 30 to hit.
SPEAKER_01Plus one.
SPEAKER_03That's hold on, hold on, hold on. 30, you said?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Off guard, frightened two.
SPEAKER_03He's good in it. Yeah, I was just trying to make sure it wasn't a crit. It's a him.
SPEAKER_04Um the correct max damage, 12 points of damage.
SPEAKER_03Hey! Violet did something. Nice. Yay! Yay, Violet. You bite the face off of the commander.
SPEAKER_04Flavor roar at the other mercenary.
SPEAKER_03Flavor growl. You're still kind of cute. Uh, it is my turn now. Do I have knockdown or anything?
SPEAKER_00I want knockdown. I don't have knockdown.
SPEAKER_03Uh Pops, just uh simple terms. Do you look hurt? Do you look injured by any means?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, I look pretty rough.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you do? Okay. So then he will try to take a swing, hoping that he can put you down so that he can try and make some distance. 29 to hit.
SPEAKER_0229 is a hit.
SPEAKER_03Give me that dice and give me that dice, and then I'm gonna roll these dice. 21 points of slashing damage.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm looking pretty haggard.
SPEAKER_03He's gonna drop his bow. Or uh no, no. He's gonna keep his sword. He's gonna put it just in one hand now. And take off running.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he runs? He runs. Reactive strike. Oh, yeah. He's near death. That's 11 on dice plus 19 for a dirty 30. Plus one. 31.
SPEAKER_03Standard hit. This is pretty big. I mean, but at the same time, he can't really escape from pops, can he? No. No.
SPEAKER_04He might not even be able to escape from Violet. I'm pretty fast without gear on.
SPEAKER_02That's cracked. That's he can move. Eight, nine, plus uh 13 plus uh 21. Holy damage. He's near death right now.
SPEAKER_04Oh, now his mark is dead. Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03Is doing work. Do you guys remember when Violet wanted to retreat? Yeah. You guys obliterate this scouting party, these enforcers, these people that are very clearly not town guards. Uh roll a d20, everyone. The highest and the lowest will each get a hero point.
SPEAKER_02Fifteen. Pass. 14.
SPEAKER_0112.
SPEAKER_05I pass. What does that mean? Okay, so it means I have out of the running. That means the point. Yeah. It's court.
SPEAKER_03Well, you should still roll because maybe I won't get one out at all.
SPEAKER_05Well, that seems unfair to me. Okay, so only one's on the table. Uh uh, fine. Here we go. I'm gonna cheat.
SPEAKER_01Let's get a 13.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Fourteen. Hey, that's right in the middle. Yeah. Yeah, so that's perfect.
SPEAKER_03Kyle and Courtney. Kyle and Courtney.
SPEAKER_05Thank you. The fates decide.
SPEAKER_03See? That's why you gotta play.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna wait till after that turn and suggest something like, hey, I think maybe Courtney's right where we should leave one alive. But what?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05This is scarier. It's it's scarier.
SPEAKER_03You guys see some local town villagers bringing lanterns and stuff around the corner trying to figure out what is going on after all this noise and commotion. Did someone say retreat? What's going on over here? You guys have seconds to decide what you're going to do.
SPEAKER_02Pops snuffs his passion flame and he says, We must leave now.
SPEAKER_05And we all scuttle down the alley. Yeah. Aren't we supposed to spread fear and terror?
SPEAKER_01I feel like the dead bodies are gonna do that for us. Okay. I would like to loot them, but I don't think we have time.
SPEAKER_05At least at least grab a piece of leather armor.
SPEAKER_04I mean, they're coming. We got seconds. Yeah, you know. Takes ten minutes to get somebody out of our.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, can't we just do that? Somewhere else.
SPEAKER_03It would be pretty easy, I suppose. Your size and strength to carry one if you want to haul around a dead body. Grab the captain. Okay. Especially if you like you and you and uh sorry, you and Pops work together, like you could definitely like sneak away with a body. Which again, I don't want to play your characters or like give you guys insights, but three people on patrol, two people found dead, one missing, like things are still how weird can you guys get things, right? I scoop up the captain. Yeah, I'm right next to him.
SPEAKER_02So all right, follow me. And uh Pops does oh so we're trying to sniff stuff away.
SPEAKER_03Speak away with his dead body. Are you carrying it by yourself? Yeah. Okay, so you're not gonna roll a stealth check, you're gonna roll an athletics check. Okay. Uh hold yours for last, though. I want to see how these stealth checks go.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god, it's not gonna go well. We get a plus twelve, it was. Yeah. Why is he laughing like that? We rolled a one or a two or all the two. Uh we just got hero points. I I don't have any. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. That's so funny. Not all of us, I guess. Uh dirty 20.
SPEAKER_0121.
SPEAKER_03Dirty 20, 21.
SPEAKER_02And uh 21.
SPEAKER_0321.
SPEAKER_05Your natural two is still higher than mine.
SPEAKER_03Athletics check.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so I'd like you to keep in mind. Oh, God. I have hefty hauler, I'm completely naked, and my normal encumbered would be 11 bulk. So here we go. I mean, that's natural two for a 20 on my athletic check. Jesus. New plan.
SPEAKER_05Run. Oh, excuse me. 21. No, we're still just get out of here.
SPEAKER_03And you guys have to completely get out of town before you're able to shake this crowd, this mob that begins forming behind you. It starts off originally as just villagers, people trying to investigate, but then you hear the clinking of armor, the shouts, people trying to coordinate a search. There are clearly people trying to organize some sort of search party, but they start barricading off the town, they start closing things off, creating checkpoints. Luckily, you guys are back on a small bluff overlooking Karahai outside of danger. You turn and look, and you see that Violet licks her lips. She thinks about removing this guy from his armor by eating him. He has a bass resort. A plus one composite long. A survey map.
SPEAKER_05That sounds good.
SPEAKER_03And plus one scale mail armor.
SPEAKER_05Is that good for you? It's a hell of a lot better than nothing. Right, right. But is it like can you wear it? Is it like medium or something? Yeah, scale mail.
SPEAKER_03It has a plus three AC bonus with a dex modifier cap of two, uh, with a minus two check penalty and a minus five speed penalty, though I don't think those are really gonna apply to you. Alright. Oh, and it was plus one? Plus one scale mail.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's pretty good. And now, Violet's gonna look like a town guard.
SPEAKER_03Yep, just like the rest of them.
SPEAKER_02Captain. The dinosaur.
SPEAKER_03I don't remember hiring any dinosaurs, but you have that insignia.
SPEAKER_05Has his name on it. It's Captain. Captain Guard.
SPEAKER_01What's this guy's name?
SPEAKER_04Yes, my name is I Can't Read. Very good.
SPEAKER_05Uh so we we get out of town.
SPEAKER_03Yep. And it's midnight. Yeah. Um pouring down rain. If you guys don't find cover, we have a pup tent. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Can we all fit in our pup tent? No, we shouldn't. That's what a pup tent is. It's just like one person. One puppy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01There's plenty of room in here for me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you can fit like three Aries or half of a violet. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Ari climbs in and she's like, come on, everybody, and I go to get in there, and like I'm my head's out one end and legs are out the other.
SPEAKER_02It's like, oh, this is should be noisy. Should we try for another snake attempt?
SPEAKER_01Well, he said that they were barricading off the town. So like I think people are like pretty upset.
SPEAKER_05I feel like they already have a fortress to retreat to.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and like barricading might have been a little much. Like they're setting up like uh like some barriers at road, like checkpoints, I guess was a better term for it, sort of thing. Uh they can't really barricade the whole street, and like Jeff said, they have the fortress to retreat too. Uh so sneaking in is obviously going to be more difficult. Uh, but if they're not guarded, you guys can also just, you know, fucking climb over, sort of thing. But again, think more of like uh road barriers and checkpoints, not like a bunch of debris built up in the road.
SPEAKER_05Um, we have this survey map. Is can we look at the map? And is there a place that looks like it would be less guarded than the rest? Like, I don't know what survey map means exactly.
SPEAKER_03Maps are uncommon. Most maps you can find are simple and functional. A survey map details a single location in excellent detail. One of these maps gives you a plus one item bonus to survival checks and any skill check to recall knowledge, provided the checks are related to the location detailed on the map. The GM determines what maps are available in any location.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so I guess what I would what we would be should be looking for is a place on the map that looks like it would be less guarded that we can kind of camp out in, I guess, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, this is a map of uh the hinterlands around Karahai. It does not include like it is not like a detailed city map of Karahai.
SPEAKER_05Oh, I thought it would be. Then is there any like caves or something? Like you said, we need to get out of the weather.
SPEAKER_04Hunting camps, abandoned fortresses.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, like there could be hump hunting cabins or something like that. You guys could go I have I am trained in survival.
SPEAKER_03The map tells you that you can go about half a mile south of Karahai and find some abandoned docks. They're likely to have, you know, a fishing hut or something like that. Nothing great, but it'll get you out of the weather.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You guys you guys want you guys want to go to fishing? Yeah. Why wouldn't we? Bring the captain. I think I'm gonna leave him.
SPEAKER_01Can you put him in the bag?
SPEAKER_05I'll leave him on the road. Shove him into the bag of holding. Really? It fits. It'll just break, like kind of fold it up a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Every time you take something out, it's covered in guts.
SPEAKER_03I hate it, but I don't really have a reason to say no.
SPEAKER_01He's become an item at this point.
SPEAKER_03I've been listening to way much too much Dungeon Crawler Carl to really argue.
SPEAKER_04Right, exactly.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Okay. In the bag. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Gardness wants him in bag, God. He goes in bags.
SPEAKER_03It's not a preservation bin, so I understand that.
SPEAKER_05I'm getting rid of him quickly. I'm not gonna like store him in there for a while. Unless I forget about it, which is a possibility. We store him. We don't have to talk about it. Strong possibility.
SPEAKER_04You know, sometimes I would bury meat and then eat it a few days later when it was softer.
SPEAKER_05Alright, well we'll look into that, okay. Anyways.
SPEAKER_01Let's go.
SPEAKER_05I just don't think we should leave him here. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I don't want you to have to carry him all that way. I mean, I don't mind. He's heavy. It's too late now. Garnisar shoved him in there.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so let's go get out of the weather and stay in this camping or the uh abandoned docks.
SPEAKER_03You guys travel the short distance, it's getting colder, the rain begins to come down harder, and you kinda quickly realize that like you're not leaving tracks. It's kind of one of the benefits of not being incredibly solid. And you come to this small fishing outpost and there's no boats, nothing viable that you could use, the docks you wouldn't want to put your insubstantial weight on. It's just all run down. One of these huts look nicer than the others, and so you clearly decide to pick that one out. You see no signs of life, you don't see signs of people camping here. You go inside, and all the glass that was once here is broken. I would also like to point out that as you're kind of making your way through this rundown village, it's kind of alien to you. The technology over the last century and a quarter has changed, right? You see things that you don't recognize, the glass is finer built, the architecture has changed. You open the door and you hear steel scraping across a scabbard. As inside, you see a Tango draw a weapon. What are you doing here? And we fade the blind. Uh yeah, life as we go through these next couple honest feedback. If you want to get one of the straight arms or if you like your bendy arm or whatever, it does not matter.
SPEAKER_05This one's super nice on the corner, by the way. Like this back corner here. Yeah. I like this. Right.
SPEAKER_02Right off the bat, Jeff is making a pretty, pretty reasonable sales pitch.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_02And I mean, look at me now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04He lives in action.
SPEAKER_01Uh it would be nice to be able to lean back every once in a while. Yeah. Actually use my chair. No, you have to. I didn't want it, didn't look like it was appealing at first. Got it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'll try it for a session. Yeah. Well, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04We can rotate it too. I'd be happy to trade with somebody for a session if somebody wants to try this one. I'll keep in mind. Yeah. I don't want to trade with anybody. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I have gifted it to him as part of his 10%. It was a lot of fun. This is my whole 10% right here. It was too much. You also could do the music and video editing.
SPEAKER_05I guess that's a that's a gift in itself. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03No one else has that level of power. Pathfinder Pope. I just whoa. You like that?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's I was going, what the fuck is I thought Kyle was doing that. Just yeah. What do they call that? The the worm thing, grunting, where they go, they take a stick with a bunch of ribs on it and they rub a and it makes that noise. Like a washboard. The worms come up out of the ground. Oh, yeah. You know what I'm talking about? I do know what you're talking about. I don't know what he's talking about.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think that's called a stick in the ground, and then they rub uh uh they like rub it and it makes it makes this kind of noise and through the dirt. Oh and hundreds of worms will just come up out of the soil. I see, I see.
SPEAKER_04Worm hunting is called grunting. Worm grunting. You were right the first time. Or charming.
SPEAKER_03Who wants to charm my worm? It's weird.
SPEAKER_05I wish I wish there was one more pivot point right here that went back and forth. That's like the one. Good enough. No, it's true. It's true. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Nope, that's just gonna I tighten mine down so much it's never gonna come apart again.
SPEAKER_02Whatever. Is there any uh are there any birds fighting in the backyard?
SPEAKER_01Seems to be clear, but once we start recording, it'd be a different story.
SPEAKER_04Fucking owls get out of here. My heart monitor might make noises, but that just means that I'm dying. So you're having a heart attack. Yeah, just that's what we do at work. Don't yell at me about cell phones.
SPEAKER_02We'll give you the TV resuscitation where we just bash on your chest with both hands.
SPEAKER_01You can't just like ignore and silence the alarms.
SPEAKER_05No, there's no button on it for ignoring alarms.
SPEAKER_04Again, that's what we do at work. Yeah. I got that.
SPEAKER_01So you don't actually think that anything's wrong, but your patient is on a transport monitor for a reason.
SPEAKER_05Because you're transporting them.
SPEAKER_01A sick patient that needs to be on a monitor.
SPEAKER_05Oh, you mean that kind of reason?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I don't know what else I'm supposed to do for a checklist, but we are recording. Sound check. Sound check. Courtney, you want to hit me with a sweet sound check?
SPEAKER_01I was just talking. You weren't paying attention.
SPEAKER_04Jeff, you want to hit me with a sweet sound check? Yeah, I'm with Courtney. Next time just pay attention. Gorma loves cheese. We all love Gorma. Who's Gorma?
SPEAKER_05All right, Tony. It's all yours. Well, I feel like I'm out of the loop now. You are.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we're good? Good to go?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03No. No one's explained Gorma yet.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. I'm not ready until we have a second game. He's so mad at me. He didn't even let me read my powers.
SPEAKER_03I definitely let you read your powers.
SPEAKER_04You didn't.
SPEAKER_03Oh we wimp you read your powers.
SPEAKER_04I did not. Halfway through. Oh, you only did half of them? Yeah, I did my majors. And then Tony was like, I want to talk about Ghost powers.
SPEAKER_01Apparently you took too long. Because he started by reading off the chilling paralysis things.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but if I let him go, he'd just read off every single available power. And some of them we're never gonna use, and we don't got time for that.
SPEAKER_01I get it, but it's just funny that like the whole time that he was talking, it just he was being shit on in one way or another.
SPEAKER_04Rightfully so. Yeah, I had it coming. Classic. I know how the game is played. Look at the way he's dressed. I like his shirt.
SPEAKER_01You don't know how to make characters, Kyle.
SPEAKER_04Nobody's gonna argue with you there.
SPEAKER_03Should have for that giant giant instincts barbarian skeleton skeleton.
SPEAKER_04Maybe I did. Nobody knows. It's a secret.
