I exposed my pale cheeks to the ogre and let him fill me. Inch by inch I was clean. What the I put my lips and began as pain and love consume my soul. I want you to be my daddy.
SPEAKER_03Welcome back to the Intersect Podcast. Number one Tradie Podcast in Australia. How are you all doing? I'm good. How are you, man? You've been on the pump. Yes. Because we have to afford someone a particular that is expensive.
SPEAKER_02Expensive? Yeah. You pay way less than I should be charging.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, I'm doing like I'm doing mad cashies to in order to. Wait. No, it's on the books. Big government. It's all on the books. What happened to your finger note?
SPEAKER_01You're bit wrapped up.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I fuck my shit up.
SPEAKER_01What happened?
SPEAKER_03She sneeze? Before we get into that, I'm gonna get straight into the question. Did you say I sneeze? No, she sneezed.
SPEAKER_01Oh back on. I like said it, but no one even looked at it. That's bleached. I went, oh.
SPEAKER_03Um, okay. So we've got we've got four, well, three because one of them's fucking toomy. We've got want to go on a date, XX. No, I do not actually want to go on a date. Thank you for asking though. How do you accept the fact that you're bald bitch with massive nuts? Obviously directed at me. I just walk around with my nuts in a wheelbarrow.
SPEAKER_01You ever like see that one episode of South Park?
SPEAKER_03Yes, I was I was gonna bring that up.
SPEAKER_01Medical man water.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so and look, I'm bald because I'm just bald, man. I can't help it. Genetics. You don't got hair? Parents. Yeah. Brand doesn't have hair. He does have hair. It's just very thin. It's not there. Very thin. And I mean, he's trying to hold on to his fucking shit. I don't know why. I just instantly have like as soon as I could feel the skin on the back of my head, gone. Shave that motherfucker off. Um, and the third question is what is the best gym split? I really want to get into this because obviously to me, this nonce um doesn't go to the gym.
SPEAKER_02Do you say nonce? I just heard that. Do you nonchalante is? Wait, do you do you guys say nonce the same way that we say nonce? Because it has a very specific meaning in British. In British the same language isn't. Well, did you know what nonce can you explain?
SPEAKER_04Under Reddit, and I was like, what's an insult for a British person? Like nonce. Probably that a nonce is a pedophile.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Um gym splits. Yeah, gym split.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what is the best gym split? Look, I am uh I'm a split of like chest back, shoulders, legs. Was that bro split? No, that's the it's not Arnold split. If Arnold splits chest back, then what's your split?
SPEAKER_03Mine is push-pull legs.
SPEAKER_01PPL.
SPEAKER_03I think push-pull legs, if you go as much as me, so I go, I do like push-pull legs and normally rest and then push pull legs. So I'm hitting two things at the same time. Uh not at the same time. I'm hitting the same muscle group twice a week.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Instead of just one. I think Arnold. No, sorry, bro split is the like shoulders, back, chest, arms. So everything's individual.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't do I do arms with other stuff, so I cut that out.
SPEAKER_03So Arnold split is yeah. Chest back. Shoulders tries.
SPEAKER_01Shoulders arms? Yeah, yeah, and then legs. I think that's about right.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm not a fan of that. And upper lower is too much, I reckon. And a full body is also too much. I feel like you have to lose so much. Upper lower, I feel like you just did that for a while. What? Didn't you?
SPEAKER_03Upper lower, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh yeah, upper lower split. Which is good. It's a good workout, but you also like you need like three separate uppers and lowers in order to not do the same thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It gets boring fast. Borwing? Is that what you said? It gets boring. It does. Oh, Puinces. Are you a boy? My have you seen he's doing the ones online. Oh, Pinces.
SPEAKER_02That's the feet clapping for me. I can't.
SPEAKER_03The shit it's it gets me all the time.
SPEAKER_01It would hurt to be that guy recording them, surely. I'd love to meet him in person. I'd love to meet him. I'd love to sniff his feet. Hey, how are you?
SPEAKER_04And he'd be like, hello, Pinch. Every time I say something to him, he's like.
SPEAKER_02I'm just waiting for you to look at me so you know I'm disgusting.
SPEAKER_03Fucking disgusting piece of shit. Um, yeah, so I think. I mean, what I'm I'm doing at the moment has been working pretty well. I think it's been pretty good. It's been nice and fun. I do want to get into the mental health topic side of the gym because I mean this is why Intersex started. Um deep dive time. Yeah, I think like I don't think many people take into consideration how much working out or exercise or consistent uh you know training takes a toll on your mental health in a positive way. I was about to say in a positive way. Yes, yes. In like the best way possible. Don't nod your head, you don't go. No. Fatty? I've been at the gym this morning. Damn looking swallowed.
SPEAKER_02Three to five days a week.
SPEAKER_04F45, eh? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Still counts.
SPEAKER_05Can you still counts? It's defending immediately.
SPEAKER_03Um yeah, it's it like you, as you would know, um, do it because that's like very much hit circuit stuff, right? So you're just continuously doing something for 45 minutes, which is what F-45 is. Um yeah, that shit sucks, but it's really good as well. It's like cardio because you're not doing like heavy weights, are you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's a mix of what they call resistance, cardio, and hybrid classes. So resistance is mostly weights, and a lot of classes you can choose if you want to do upper or lower. Then cardio is obviously just cardio, and hybrid's kind of a mix of the both. Yeah. You do a variation of them each week. Do you think it helps your mental health? 100%. Yeah. Yeah. And like I try to, like, if I'm feeling shit and I don't want to go to the gym, well, because I'm feeling shit, I don't want to go to the gym, but then the times where I like force myself to feel just like just washes it all away. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03It's like walking into the gym doors with a heavy weight to then exercise it all off. And then as soon as you walk out those doors after the workout, you're like, shit, man, I feel good. Yeah. Like it's almost like it's legs and you're folded.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, legs.
SPEAKER_03You're just stumbling out, and you're like, legs makes me want to shoot myself in the gob. But there is a big four of legs that blokes do, and there's also like a big four. A big four. It's like the only leg workouts that guys do on leg day.
SPEAKER_04What leg press, squats, calf raises, and literally off the rim.
SPEAKER_03It's the main four that everyone does, and they're just like, yeah, no, I'm just going in, do my main four, leaving. But chicks, on the other hand, one million sets of hip thrusts. Let's punch those out. And then we're gonna do one million sets of Bulgarian split squats.
SPEAKER_01I had to do variations of hip thrusts actually yesterday for my circuit training. Oh. Hip thrusts. Yeah. Just lie on the floor, legs up, do 10 regular hip thrusts with a weight. Then you gotta lift one leg full extension and do the same thing on one leg. Can you give us a demonstration just up here? Um, believe it or not, we built these tables so they are not structurally in sound to hold us. And then next leg and do them. Why hip thrusts? I don't know, it's gay. But I don't understand for what you're training for. Oh, it's warm up. Mainly because I have what they call the flexibility of a brick, and it's good to increase flexibility.
SPEAKER_03So you're doing that before you started doing that.
SPEAKER_01That was the first thing before I got into running. What's that one? Lunges. Lunges. What's this one? Burpees and Rose. Yeah. So what are you training for? High rocks. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Fuck that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I was just gonna kind of like, you know, free ball it. That's probably not the right word. At high rocks? That's not quite the right word to use here. I was gonna do it without training, like we did for our run. That was but um it's a little bit too intense to do that, considering that most people can't do it.
SPEAKER_03I just can't fathom the fact that people that go to high rocks pay to go through torture. The fact I had to pay sucks. Stupid.
SPEAKER_01It's not even cheap! Like that's my tweak.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, tweak. We'll we'll get into that. Um, yeah, it's absolutely stupid. I don't see any point. And then people will travel as well.
SPEAKER_01Well, the first if you keep paying to get in those and you get good enough to stop with the flies, all right?
SPEAKER_02I spot the fly out of my face and he loses it. I can't handle it.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Um, I was ignoring it. I could hear it in my ear, and then it was on my face. I just give it one of these.
SPEAKER_01Give it one of these. Um yeah, you have to pay a large sum of money to be able to get in to perform, to perform at the best percentage to be able to qualify to get to the ones around the world, but they only give you the ticket to be around the world. You have to pay for the travel, the accommodation, and everything. Oh, you only qualify to get into the race at that stage, and they just say, Yeah, we'll give you. Like, you can stupid. Fuck, fuck like that. Bro, it's such a like I'm gonna say it's a scam. I'm not a fan.
SPEAKER_03I don't think it's like people live by that shit too. I know. We should register to me, actually. Could you imagine?
SPEAKER_01Would you do a what if we all did collectively a what's it called? CrossFit class.
SPEAKER_02I'd try CrossFit. I feel I feel I see CrossFit as like the next evolution of like F-45, where it's just like a more intense class.
SPEAKER_01Shout out to English Josh with the sausage dog. Yes, yes, um processing power was not there. He does CrossFit a lot of it, and I was like, damn, he loves it. CrossFit? I know, and I tell him every time like fucking gay.
SPEAKER_03It seems gay, but I'll try it. I'll I'll give it a go. I mean we should I want to see pole dancing and Pilates and shit. We can't get any gayer. Oh, we could, yeah, doing CrossFit. I mean, try electrician. That is true. That's quite low. That's quite gay, actually. That's that's the bottom of the barrel there. Yeah, that's very low. Shit, I didn't even yeah, CrossFit would be fun. But yes, back onto the um, I just because I the reason why I want to bring this up is because I I've been training. I don't know if I should say her name. Probably not.
SPEAKER_05No, let's do it.
SPEAKER_03Do I? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Why do it blaster? Blaster in it, first and last.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Now I don't want to. No, just say the name. Why are you doing that? I'm doing nothing. Anyway, I've been training this cheap for the past two months. Like she's been really struggling. Won't go into it. That's per her personal thing. But she said to me today, she can see a light at the end of the tunnel. After Did you tell her don't go into the light? I was like, I am the light. I was like, I am I'm the one standing there. I'm the light. Bro's gonna sickle it all. Yeah, it sounds like a threat.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, bro. Come closer.
SPEAKER_03Um, and it it's nice because a lot of people, like I've trained Brenton, um, I've I trained with Stevie, uh, I've tried to help as much as I can when it comes to the gym. And it's nice to see like that I've got that community, I guess. When I bring someone new into the gym, I can show them that it's not that scary place.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Which is the thing that we were preaching when we first started this podcast. And now that we have it, like I've I'm confident I can bring anyone into the gym and it will just become like a fun thing. Because like the thing that I'm trying to do is take their mind away from like either looking at themselves or um self-doubt or like looking dumb when they're doing an exercise or any of that type of stuff. So it's really nice to to know that what I've been helping her with has somewhat fixed her mental health. Not fixed, but helped.
SPEAKER_01Just made her realise essentially that it isn't that actual scary judgmental display. Like it's all just like, oh, what's going on? How are you? You done with your matchups.
SPEAKER_04Unless she don't say she doesn't like you, bro. Yeah, she's like that motherfucker.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, why it's like oh see ya, scoop it eyes.
SPEAKER_04Bro, Chris, no, Isaac got me.
SPEAKER_03Isaac got me the other day with the Ben 10 watch. Man, bro cooked me. That she was funny. But it's nice. It's nice to know that there's like like there's people in in that gym that you can introduce.
SPEAKER_01Obviously, not me. Yeah, you're a fucking cunt.
SPEAKER_03Ow. This is JP. Hey JP, how you going? Uh oh, shoot I was saying bye.
SPEAKER_01I was actually genuinely nice. I said hi. Hi. Hi is all you say and walked away. I might have said it's going on.
SPEAKER_03You didn't. That's way too many steps for you. Okay. But yeah, it's um, it's good. And I just want yeah, I just want people to know out there that like just go there and do it because it does make it a lot easier to deal with shit. Because I have to force myself to go to the gym. Well, it's not really a force, actually. I I got asked yesterday, actually, he was like, because we've got this new apprentice at work. Um, and he goes, I asked him how his body's feeling because he's fairly young, he's like 22 or something. Oh yeah. I was like, how's your body feeling so far? Because he's about a month or two into it. He's like, oh, the first like month my body was cooked, but I'm slowly getting uh used to it. And he's like, I don't know how you um gather the courage, not courage, the mo uh motivation to go to the gym after like working.
SPEAKER_01I hear that a lot, and I'm like, it's it's not even a second thought.
SPEAKER_03It's not a second thought to even, oh no, I've got to go to the gym now.
SPEAKER_01Like you don't count that as work, it's not like, oh no, I finished my first shift at the flog factory, now I've got to go to the second shift, you know. Who's the CEO of that again? Breed White.
SPEAKER_03Fuck that guy. Oh yeah, it's um like the gym isn't a second thought after the after work because it's like, oh yeah, cool. It's routine. Yeah, it's just what I have to do. So once you get into that routine, it's not even discipline, it's not even fucking consistency, it's just routine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's like a little bit of doom scrolling, it gives you that dopamine hit. Yeah, I'm be honest. And like even if you go there and you don't do too much, just catching up with the boys or whoever's around brings you, brings you up a level.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's that's what I said to him. I said the gym isn't isn't a place where I go, like it is a place where I go to work out and stay fit and healthy and all that type of stuff, but it's also a social network.
SPEAKER_01Very big like it's wildly social.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because we've been going for so long. What do we I think someone called you the unc of the gym?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they did. They said we're the the uncles of the gym, and I was like, Uncles, we're the uncles of the gym.
SPEAKER_03You he said that to you though, not me. Yeah, so you're the uncle.
SPEAKER_01He said me and the really old guy. Two me.
SPEAKER_03That that really the one with the cat. Yeah, bald head, yeah. Um but see I I look at like Abdul and um like Mo and No, because they've been going longer than we have. Yeah, so it's like it's like a we're in the middle. We're not unks, we're we're big bros. Big bros, and they're unks? They're unks, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna I'm gonna have to go see. Oh, yeah, Unk. I call I call Abdul Unk all the time. He is wildly strong and fit for his age, and just so nice. Yeah, so nice. Like this guy do you know him? No, you haven't met him. Anyway, describe him. He looks like maybe 35. He's normal, he's a bit tall. He's strong, he looks about 35. Oh, okay. Do you know how old he is? Yeah, yeah, okay. And he's weirdly strong, he's fit, he gets it done, always happy. Always happy. He turned 50. Brothers out there just benching like 140, just getting shit done. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And he was the one um in the old gym, like he he would come over, hey boys, what's going on? Like bunker. He was unking. Yeah, he was unking around in the gym. Lunking and unking. He was just making it fun. Like he it was making it enjoyable. Like one person can make the whole gym feel comfortable.
SPEAKER_01It's wild how much a smile and a light-hearted, hey, how are you going? Or what's what are you doing? So why don't you do it? Why don't I do it? Yeah, I don't lie, people.
SPEAKER_04Go work out outside.
SPEAKER_02We don't need your negativity in the gym. Fuck off. Yeah, it's weird to me to hear you guys talk about the gym like this because there's no place. Come with me.
SPEAKER_04I'll fuck you. Yeah, come with me. It'll be sick.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Come to a lap. But it's also like the gym community as well, is like, is is this it's banter. Like there's so much banter in the anytime gym. And I'll say it, I said it, I can't remember what episode it was between one and ten. But Snap is still shit. Oh, yeah, I'll get it. And I don't care. It's been a year and a half, and I'll still double down and say Snap shit. I've had people come over from Snap and be like, oh my god, it's like there's not room. Yeah, you can actually move in here. Yes, mind you, the gym equipment isn't as good, but everything that you need is there. Yes, the gym equipment breaks sometimes and it takes about a year to get fixed. It's kind of shit. But the vibe in there is way, way better because of the people in it. Because we, I think, not we in particular, but we as a collective at any time. The gym community. The gym community at any time has made it fun and bearable. Well, get me a guest pass or something, I'll come do a workout with you. I've got to pay for your guest pass.
SPEAKER_02I'll I'll just comes out of your pay though. I'll put it on the invoice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'd fucking I'd love to, man. It would be sick. And then we could even make content uh in there. Yeah. I mean, maybe you'll change my mind. I just think more people need to get out of their comfort zone. It doesn't matter if people are pushing, or uh, it doesn't matter if people are looking at you, it doesn't matter if people are talking about yeah, fucking just do go to the fucking gym.
SPEAKER_01Sort about where you start. Obviously, you're not gonna start really strong. You're gonna start here, and the point is you go up from there, consistency, you keep moving up weights, you keep getting fitter, you keep getting stronger, you keep getting more into it. Mm-hmm. It's like a drug at that point.
SPEAKER_02Never gets any easier though, eh? Like no matter how strong you get, it's still as hard as but that's what you want.
SPEAKER_01If you ever tell them you get to that goal, you're never happy and you're always looking further on anyway.
SPEAKER_03You'll never be as big as your pump. Your penis pump. My pump. Which is facto, because like the more muscle you gain, the bigger your pump will be. So then, like, the more you go to the gym, bros like yeah, I just I just love the gym. Jimmy's love, gym, and Jimmy's life.
SPEAKER_01Flew in through your window.
unknownHuh?
SPEAKER_01What do you say? Flew in through your window. What did? Jim is Love, Jimmy's Life. I don't know what you're doing. Shrek is love, Shrek is life. Does no one know that video? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh that's yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01Gary's mod. The original one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was a long time ago. You're so old.
SPEAKER_01Can you pull it up? Bring up the Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life video. Gary's mod.
SPEAKER_02The original. It's probably this one.
SPEAKER_01Big screen that.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05This looks like it. This exactly is it.
SPEAKER_00I exposed my pale cheeks to the yoga and let him fill me. Inch by inch I was calling. What the lips and begins? And love guns my soul. I want you to be my daddy.
SPEAKER_02Also, it it says that's the fourth one. That's Shrek is love, Shrek's life, number four, the orphanage.
SPEAKER_03Uh anyway, let's get into tweak of the week.
SPEAKER_01What's your tweak of the week? I wanna know what your tweak of the week is. Um just remembering the when we were just talking, it brought brings up the tweak of the week as of current, which is the the price of Hyrux. 200 bucks are we allowed to say what the price is? It's it's the legal there wouldn't be legalities against it. What do you mean? Why wouldn't you? Yeah, just how much it cost.
SPEAKER_02Oh, all right. Sure, you can just Google that information.
SPEAKER_01You can Paul do your job, To me. Damn. No. Um it's a bit over $200 per ticket. Fuck that.
SPEAKER_02Uh what is that? Event entry fees in Australia typically range from $130 to $220 plus per person, depending on the category and tickering. Tickering? Ticketing tier, open pro or doubles. When you factor in travel accommodation, race day photos. Oh yeah, like you have to pay a stupid amount to have their professional photos taken of you. Stupid amount. Uh gear, total weekend expenses can easily run between $400 to $1,400.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's I I can't fathom paying that much. Yeah, neither can I, and I did it, so I can fathom it, and it hurts. Libby was saying that you did pay $500 or $700. About that, yeah. Yeah. Um just to just to go run like participate in it.
SPEAKER_01And yeah, and then what we get to do is we get to go run eight kilometers between every exercise and do eight exercises. So it's eight kilometres in total with eight exercises.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Damn. That sucks. Feel sorry for you, bro. I'm gonna sit there and eat. You know what? Me and Timmy are gonna eat a fat hot dog while you guys.
SPEAKER_01You look like a fat hot dog.
SPEAKER_03Hell yeah. No, that's that's the one that I'm training at the gym.
SPEAKER_01Uh who is that?
SPEAKER_03I can't remember her name. Frankfurt. Frankfurt. Frankfurt. Yeah, Frankfurt. Um what's your tweet? I don't want to work, man. I just want to go traveling. I want to go make cool content. I want to do shit with my life. I feel like I'm doing nothing. Don't enjoy your work? No, I enjoy the work. I don't enjoy waking up every morning to go to work. I enjoy the work itself. Unless I rip my finger off.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, look, that's that's that's unfortunate. What about you, Tim? You enjoy waking up to go to work?
SPEAKER_02Go the fuck?
SPEAKER_01He sleeps in the room.
SPEAKER_02Wait, I don't know where you get this from. I'm up at 6 a.m. every day. He wakes up at 10.30.
SPEAKER_01Well, it has to be. If he takes it at 10:30, he ain't sleeping till fucking nothing.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, no, I got I I love my I mean, I work for myself. I do my own thing. I love it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, so does he.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I have a physical job.
SPEAKER_05That that's that that wasn't meant for anything.
SPEAKER_03Like awkward stuff. I I can't like if I could stay home and do my job, that would be gangster.
SPEAKER_01Bro, it's like you're like surgeons that use robots that's gonna be in his home with little oculus things, some fucking VR jammers and shit.
SPEAKER_04It's like, ah, yeah, what's going on in here? Nothing. Get out of my room, playing Minecraft.
SPEAKER_03No, I I just I'm fucking over it. I'm over working, I'm over, I just want to go travel, I want to go do shit.
SPEAKER_01Would you say you're at your midlife crisis?
SPEAKER_03No, because I'm not at my midlife yet.
SPEAKER_01I thought 48 was midlife.
SPEAKER_03Ah fuck up, digging. I love calling you out. I wish I had a fucking like something. I don't know what. I don't know. A fucking judges thing. Gavel. Yeah, a gavel. Yeah, gavel button. It's over and done with now, anyway. Shut up, pussy. Um yeah, I just I want to go do shit, man.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Um send in some bad questions, alright? Yeah, use a shit. Usually terrible. Fuck. Actually, I genuinely want to hear a better I genuinely want to hear a better question.
