CUPF New Year’s Resolution! What Are Our Plans for the New Year? Hint: Get More Involved in the Community | Special Guest, Douglas Weisburger (DEP)
CUPF is closing out 2024 and getting ready for 2025. Listen as CUPF Director, Ramona Bell-Pearson and CUPF Communications and Outreach Specialist, Derek Ross discuss our goals as an office for 2025. This episode will include a general overview of our fee study, #CUPFCares Initiative, highlighting our focus on volunteering in the community. More importantly, CUPF’s upcoming Opening Day Reservation for Auditorium Use on Saturday, February 1, 2025. In our first “Off the CUPF” segment, we will be joined by Douglas Weisburger, Senior Planning Specialist, Sustainability Programs, in Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
Prior to DEP, Doug worked in the County’s Office of Management and Budget focusing on environmental policy and budgeting. Before working for the County, he worked with the Peace Corps (staff and volunteer); Ashoka: Innovators for the Public; the Council on Foreign Relations and Miami Country Day environmental policy from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy, and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
