Geoff Manchester and the Beginnings of Intrepid Travel
Back in the 80's, a few of Geoff Manchester's mates hatched a plan to buy an old council bus, completely redo it, place it on a cargo ship bound for London, then head off for 6 months through Africa. Madness! This madness eventually led to the now global travel business Intrepid. Geoff has rightly suggested that in our material world people look forward more to experiences as gifts, experiences that offer a smorgasbord of cultures, people and exciting ventures.
Geoff reflects on the Five Turning Points that have shape what has been an incredible life with humble beginnings in the Gippsland area of Victoria.
