Hello there and welcome back to It Starts at Vagus. Today's episode is going to be a little different. Instead of teaching you or guiding you through a practice, this one's more of a heart-to-heart.
EmilyFeist:I wanted to share with you where I'm at, what this podcast has meant, and why I've decided for a pause for this season. When I started this podcast, my vision was simple: to give you tools, stories, and gentle reminders that your nervous system isn't broken. It just needs some care.
EmilyFeist:When I first realized how impactful the vagus nerve is to the mind and body, I just had to share it. I felt obligated to share how to work with the vagus nerve to feel better because I just couldn't believe how easy yet impactful it is. Throughout this season, we've talked about breathing and humming and those small daily practices that bring you back to yourself. My hope has always been that in listening, you'd feel less alone, more supported, and reminded that calm is always available, even in the busiest of days. And I want to say thank you, whether you've been here since the very first episode or you just stumbled across this podcast recently. I'm so grateful that you've trusted me to be in your ears. Even knowing that one person has felt seen, or that one mom who took a deep breath with me during her commute to work has been creating this podcast worth every minute. And with your help, we have made a difference. As of today, people have listened in over 50 countries and over 650 cities. That's amazing, which is why I will continue financially supporting this podcast to stay available to listen. I want it to keep growing, for the message to get out to more people so they feel less anxious or stressed. And now, just like our bodies need cycles of rest and reset, so do our creative projects. This isn't a goodbye forever. It's more of a bye for now. I fully believe this space will open back up when the time is right. And when it does, I'll be so excited to meet with you here again. And if you want notifications when that happens, remember to hit that follow button so that you get updates when I come back on. In the meantime, I hope you keep practicing these simple resets we've explored together. Take a slow breath when your chest feels tight. Hum a little tune in the cart to soften your nervous system. Jot down a thought in your journal while sitting in the morning sun. Tiny things, but they matter more than you realize. Thank you again for spending time with me here. Remember to soothe your nervous system and reclaim who you are. If this podcast has helped you, find an episode and share it with a friend. I'll see you again when the time is right. But continue to remember that wellness starts at Vagus.
