Um, so we had a Um, great week for the most part, you know, we've got scary weather coming. We had grandbabies. We, you know, we have Carter Rose a couple times a week and then a Kate's come in. Yeah. And then Austin babies may be dropping in our Austin babies. We get a text from our daughter in Austin. They were on a cruise out of Port Canaveral on the, what is the big cruising with the rat?

No, no, no, no, no, no. You don't even know what you're talking about. They were on Royal Caribbean utopia of the seas. Then they stopped back in Orlando and went to Disney world. So they did go to rat land as you would call it. It's not, I love Disney. I love it. But anyway, the, because of the weather, They may miss their connection connection back to Austin.

So they were like, any chance you have where that's always a hard, yes. I'm all, I'm already going, okay, well, first of all, I was supposed to have a garage sale tomorrow, but I'm still moving back into our offices because of our flood. And I'm like, I need to go get kid food because I don't have food for that.

I'm already yaya and trying to go get stuff for him. But anyway, yes, I'm excited about that. What else we got going on? I'm just going to give a shout out to you. Can I do that real quick? I don't know For many things but um Frank has been on intermittent fasting And some keto and some keto and some working on all the things and has lost Fast 27.

Um, but 30 now. Oh, um, I shaded him 33 pounds. Sorry. Yesterday it was 27 y'all. That's how good he's doing. And it's going very well. So he's 30 pounds down before we go on our next cruise. Yeah. Well, I mean, there's several things that motivated me. Uh, one of them was I can hardly fit in my dry suit because that thing's really hard to get into and you have to be maneuverable to get in anyway.

And the more you pack it with I'm a person. I threatened to film him getting into it and shimmy shimmy shaking. Boy, it's hard. And the fatter you are, the harder it is. So I dropped away for that. And you know, I was just not, had no energy or anything. And been working out and all that. And you know, when I work out, it's, it's nothing.

I mean, I'm not in there. I'm not trying to go pro. You know, I'm, Uh, you know, I work, I work out hard, but one of the things I do in my workout is kind of an entertaining story. At the end of my workout, what I do is they got like an eighth mile lap in door. So I'll do a lap and then I'll do, you know, a set of pushups.

I'll do a lap and then I'll do a plank and then I'll do a lap and then I'll do a set of pushups and then I do a lap and I do a plank and then I last, I do set of pushups, you know, in the pushups, just as many as I can get in. Nothing crazy people. I'm not going to impress anybody here, but this one lady, I see her there every time she walks and walks and walks and walks.

She's probably in her mid sixties and as thin as a rail. And you can tell she didn't need to walk at all. Yeah, she's really into, And I was finishing up and just getting a drink and ready to leave. And she comes, can I ask you something? I'm like, Oh my gosh, what? And she, she goes, how long do you hold that plank?

I mean, cause she could probably hold one for three minutes, you know, because she, she's just very, very fit. I'm like, Oh, well, you know, typically it's anywhere from 75 to 90 seconds, you know, and that's about as much as I can do. She goes, Oh, and she looked at me weird. I said, Oh, you know what? You were getting a drink when I walked past you.

I walked past her cause she had stopped and I walked past her and when she came back around and I was planking again, she thought I'd been holding that place. And I was like, no, no, no. No, no, that's not me. I ain't got the belly for that, but you do now you're looking good. I don't have much of a belly anymore, but you know, I'm, I'm feeling good.

It really is. It's the lowest markup I've ever done on anything. You're being good to people. Yeah, I'm being very good. And I'm taking some people off in the industry, you know, because, but are you, well, yeah, well, you know, they don't like people, they think I'm getting, I'm not giving it away, but it's extremely low markups.

But, you know, some people just think it's not fair. But you know what? I had a truck show up four months before I was expecting it and my back, I'm still sitting on summer equipment. And all of a sudden a big tractor trailer pulls up and starts unloading. And we're like, Where is all this going to go? Is this one?

I want to jump across the table and kill him. Y'all it wasn't do it. Typically we get it in late February or March and it was just, oh my gosh. So, so I'm, I'm getting this equipment out of here. So, so we do get that big cell go on, uh, leak detections. I'm kind of dead in the water right now,

but my legalizers broke and I'm waiting on a replacement legalizer. Did you order that leakalyzer? Yeah, the leakalyzer is on its way. It's an expensive piece of equipment. But we're going to have this, the other one repaired and then I'll have a backup, but I got a new one on its way. So good Lord. Anyway, so, uh, so there's parts of leak detection that I can't do right now.

We're only getting way behind because of the lot of people that are, yeah, yeah, yeah. And, uh, and actually our question today, uh, we got a listener question and that's kind of addresses that. Okay. Cool. Uh, anything else we need to talk about? I think I might think of something during, during the show. We'll see.

Here we go now. This is S C from Texas. We never say your full name cause we don't want to, you know, we don't want to embarrass South Carolina from Texas.

No, I'm going to, I'm going to say Sam. Campbell, because that's my maiden name, Sam Campbell from Texas. We don't know where in Texas, but that's okay. Because this question I think applies to anybody that has this issue. So, and I have questions within the questions. Is that okay? All right. Cause you know, I approach this from a novice, a novice pool owner perspective.

Yes. Not the, um, scholarly pool owner perspective. Not the expert like, like me. Yes. So I'm going to read the whole question. Then I'm going to go back and ask a few things. So, um, it says my pool has an obvious leak, almost one inch per day. It's pretty obvious. The leak detection, leak detection company says they are at least three to four weeks out.

I think. A lot of them were, uh, what are some obvious things I can check and what are the fixes if I find it? Okay. Well, my first thing is, does it make it obvious if you're losing how much a day? Well, most pools that that would be excessive. Okay. But now, you know, we talk about this a lot, you know, there's things you can do to Create more evaporation this time of year.

Yes. Any time of year. And since we just now started getting rain again, cause we went several months without rain and our air was very, very dry. And everybody was thinking they had leaks because the air was so dry and we had a little bit of wind here and there. That just evaporates water out of the pool like crazy, even though the temperatures were moderate, you know, we had temperatures in the seventies and eighties, people were still evaporating like crazy because the air was so dry and we had a little bit of a wind.

Well, and if you take that and then on top of that, you run waterfalls five, six hours a day, and you never listened to me and you have all your jets going to the surface of the pool and your water's really wavy. Because really disturbing the surface every time the pump runs. I think we have an episode called Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls.

Yeah, I think we did. That was a while back. But if you're doing all that, you're going to greatly increase the amount of evaporation because when you disturb the surface of the water like that, and you know, you're making all these waves, it's like, like I said, and by the way, if you want to figure out what your evaporation rate should be, you can, you can find it.

That was one of my questions. Yes, you can find it online. Where you just like say evaporation and put in your zip code and there's sites on there that would tell you, yes, a body of water should evaporate this amount in this amount of time. So, you know, per square foot, but who knew that besides you. Well, well, I mean, I, I use, I, I use up this, there's actually apps for that, you know, a lot of, at least at leak detectors, you know, we have to be able to determine, like, if I use my legalizer, it's going to, it's going to show me, I put in what the evaporation is today, and then it shows me, am I staying with that, or am I going below that?

Sure. So, because evaporation is going to be some loss. But then I'm going beyond that. So, but you can put that in, but that's for a calm surface. If you make the surface wavy, you greatly increase the, because of the, the extra water that is in contact with the atmosphere above the water due to the waves greatly increases the amount of evaporation.

Okay, and if you have something where like you're having bubbles and stuff like that coming up with those bubbles coming up and popping That's making little tiny little droplets go into the air And if they're completely surrounded by air, they can quickly evaporate and that's why waterfalls evaporate so bad So even though if you know the evaporation that doesn't necessarily apply to your pool if your surface stays constantly disturbed Sure.

And you're running waterfalls all the time and you know, your jets are pointed up and you have a spa that's spilling over. Well, one little spillway is not going to kill you, but you know, if you're having just a torrent of water coming over to that spa spillway, And then you throw in a couple waterfalls, and then you got your jets up.

You could easily double, triple the rate of evaporation by doing that, right? So that's, that's something you need to take into consideration when you think you're losing too much water because you're you realize your evaporation rate should be a but you're three times a. Well, you know what, maybe chill out everything and then see what happens, but hey, babe, we got to go to a commercial.

Hey friends, welcome back to the deep end with Frank and Jackie. We're talking about leaks. in your pool, not, no, we're not talking about bathroom accidents or not like the vegetable leaks. Oh yeah, right now it's getting cooler and in your stew and all that. Anyway, I digress, but we'll talk about that. Um, so the first part of this question, this is a listener question from S.

C. From texas was my pool hasn't obviously it's losing almost one inch per day. So you kind of talked about the evaporation, how that can happen in one inch is an typically excessive. Are there any other things besides the water going down that is obvious as a pool as a first time pool owner? People may not know I mean you could have wet spots All right wet spots around the pool area because it's a pool.

Yeah I mean, it's that can be misleading more times than not. That's a sprinkler system Oh my gosh, there's a sweat spot over by my pole. And typically what we find is people, they think, well, I don't, I don't think I have a leak because there's no wetness around my pole. You know what you may never, I've had pools lose two inches a day that no water ever showed you anywhere because water follows the path of least resistance.

So if. It's going around the pool shell. It's finding the old plumbing ditches where that dirt got disturbed and it's got a little pathways running around the plumbing and everything. So we could stay 18 inches underground and just flow and flow and flow and flow and never show anywhere. Sure. And so if you have a leak, you're not necessarily going to see water, surface water.

Now, one thing you can do is, especially if you have a stabilizer level in your pool, if you have CYA levels in your pool, a lot of people say, well, I tested the water next to my pool and it didn't have any chlorine. So, so I know it's not pool water, you know, chlorine, once it hits dirt, it's gone really quick because it's, you know, it's, it's trying to oxidize all those organics and stuff in the dirt and everything.

The thing you can test is your CYA because the only water that's going to have stabilizer in it is going to be pool water. And it does not evaporate. It does not use itself up. So if you have water actually puddling in the area around your pool, you can test that water for stabilizer CYA. And if it's pool water, it will most likely reflect that CYA in the pool.

So that's a really good. So, Ooh, that is pool water or nope. That's not pool water. Are there areas that are more conducive to having the puddles if you don't have a sprinkler system, like the skimmers or probably waterfall or whatever? A lot of times it is, but yeah, it's just the yard, the slope and all that.

Sometimes you'll see some wetness around the equipment area. You know, that can be obvious, but it doesn't, you know, it's really, I see that mislead people more than I see it lead people. Okay. So, so puddles is not, it's not necessary. So don't, don't use that as, right. Yeah. Okay. I mean, yes. All right. It should, you know, I got a puddle in my yard.

Why? Yes. You know, questions should be coming up, but does not necessarily mean your pool is leaking. Right. Okay. Okay. Because more times than not, it's not. It's probably not. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um, the next part of the question, the leak detection company says they were three to four weeks out. You can identify.

Yeah. Common. Yeah, it's, uh, especially this time of the year, I think, you know, because of the weather and the, well, everybody, you know, during when they were losing water in the summer, they, Oh, it's just evaporations really bad. And now the water, water's cooled off, air is cooled off and, Oh crap, we're still losing all this extra water.

What's going on. And now that the air is a little moist and they're still losing water, it's like, okay, we do have a problem. So now they're finally making that phone call. They could have saved themselves a ton of. chemicals during the summer, but they've waited and now it's like, okay, we got to do something.

So, yeah, for sure. Um, so the last part of this is, um, what are some obvious things? And I don't know if there are some obvious things there may be. Okay. Things I can check. And what are the fixes if I find These obvious things. Yeah, many of the fixes will be temporary, but the first thing I tell everybody to check if they think they're losing a lot of water is if they have a sand filter, they have a DE filter with a backwash valve.

You check that backwash. Cause these backwash valves will leak. They have gaskets and O rings that can break or tear and they will leak past them. Now, a lot of people, they just backwash into their yard, you know, with the hose or just out of the end of a pipe and they'll see that water. But most people, at least in our area of the country up in North Texas, most people are taking those backwash lines underground, taking them around to the front of the house and up and down back into the sanitary sewer clean out in the front of the house, which is typically where ours are.

Or it goes out to the curb. And which is not allowed hardly anywhere anymore, but some of the older systems, you will see the water just slowly coming out down the curb and they'll have a 15, 20 foot wet spot. That's always wet and they never put it two and two together and say, Hey, that's coming from my pool because their backwash line is leaking.

Right. So that's the first thing you check is that, you know, where your backwash terminates is water constantly flowing out of there a little bit. That that's, that's a very common leak and it's a very simple fix. It's. repair that o ring or that gasket. Okay. Another thing is something you can do, you know, to help you identify where the leak may be.

And when you call the leak detector, you'll have all this information for them and they show up and you can find anything. Uh, okay. Run your pull for 24 hours. See if that leak changes. Oh. Turn your pull off for 24 hours. See if that leak changes. If you have water features or like a booster pump for your cleaner, don't run it or don't run them at all for a couple of days.

See if that changed the rate that you're losing water. Do opposite of what you're doing. Yes. Change up your, Yeah. Change it up and see if you can find a noticeable difference in what's going on with this water loss issue. Now, if your weather's changing, you know, it, that, that may lead you astray. So this is not.

You know, there's so many variables. Yeah, this ain't bulletproof, but, but it can help lead you in a, in a way. Something else you could do is you can just turn your system off. If you know, your water's cool enough and this ain't something, something you want to do for weeks and weeks and weeks on end. See how far the water will drop.

Just turn it off and forget about it? No, no, this is, this is to run a test. So you're just going to turn the system off and see how far the water drops. Yeah. A lot of times it will, after, you know, it'll drop at a fairly rapid rate and then it gets to the bottom of the skimmer and then it slows down and goes to evaporation rates.

So that could be a very, not a definite, but it could be a very good indication that that leak is in the skimmer throat. Or it could be a very good indication that the skimmer is cracked in the back. We see that a lot. The skimmer body actually has a crack in it. If it leaks down to the jets. Where your returns, which are about 18 inches down and it stops.

Okay. That could be an indication. Okay. The leak is actually in my plumbing or around one of the plumbing fittings. If it goes all the way down to the light, that could be an indication that the leak is in the back of the light. But of course we don't want it to go all the way down. You know, so you don't, you know, you don't let this completely drain your pool because if we, the soil does get extremely saturated, you can float the pool.

We've discussed that several times, but what this can also mislead you though, if you have like say, say, say, say the leak is in your main drain, it's in the plumbing going to your main drain and the pipe is coming up or it's in the main drain. And that doesn't mean it's going to stop leaking. When it gets down to the main drain, because what if that leak in that main drain plumbing is four feet down and not eight feet down or just under the surface, it's not going to leak past where the actual break in the plumbing is.

So that can mislead you and misguide you. So you really need to do some pressurization on your plumbing. If it's in the plumbing, you have to pressurize it. And then you have to locate that leak. Uh, we had one, uh, this week found the leak and, uh, is in his main drain plumbing. And it was under the corner of a retaining wall, a big O retaining wall, big O and it was coming from his main drain.

And I guess they did the retaining wall later and they built this corner of the retaining wall on top of the plumbing. And it ended up breaking that plumbing under the retaining wall. His solution to this, and I'm fine with it is he had me permanently seal his main drains, the head to main drains. He had me have me permanently seal those and then cut and cap the plumbing over at the equipment.

So now that's a deadline. No water can get to it either direction. So he's just going to run without his, his main drains. And there's a lot of people building pools without main drains. Now you don't have to have a bottom, a floor drain. Yeah, it's not. Necessary. Now you do have to watch your water levels a little closer, you know, because now you cannot pull from the main drain if you, if you get a little low, but the leak in the main drain, his solution is, uh, you know, I'm not going to tear out that retaining wall and he just didn't want to spend the money on that and I can't just turn it off over the equipment because the water is getting, would be getting to the break.

from going through the floor drain and up the plumbing and then it would leak out there and he would constantly be having that leak and the movement that was evident on this retaining wall would probably increase because it's just going to stay wet. Right. So, but Anyway, so you can get misled by, you know, where, where the water stops.

Sure. But all right. Some, some simple things you can do a dye testing. The most common leak we find is in skimmer throats on gunite poles, because that's, that's the only thing I really do leak detection on is gunite poles. pulls, but you got this plastic skimmer butts up to the concrete and then you have a joint there and that's typically sealed with mortar.

But over time, with a little bit of movement that can open up well with your system off, you can reach in there with the, they sell these like leaked tools dot com sells these. Little syringes with the little tube on the end of them. It has a dye in it and you can go in there and follow that seam all the way around and you can slowly push dye out of that little tube and see if it sucks it in there and you can do the same thing around your return jets with the pump off.

Of course, see if you're sucking water around those return jets cause sometimes you don't get a really good seal. around those where that plumbing comes through the wall. You can do it if you have obvious cracks in the pool that you notice. You can squirt it around there. You can do the dye test anywhere.

You don't necessarily have to get in the water. You can reach all your returns and all that. When I dive, I'll dive in, uh, down to a sump for the floor drains. A lot of times the leak is in the floor drain, but it's in the body of the floor drain. Or it's in the hydrostatic plug that was put in. It just wasn't put in tight enough.

Sometimes that's all I got to do. Sometimes where that floor drains coming up, it only comes up so high. Well, I'm leaking around the top of that where it wasn't sealed well around there. So we can just reseal that and everything's good. Light niches, light niches are real common, but you got to get in the water to do that, where the.

Conduit goes into the back of the light niche for the cord that goes to the light. A lot of times the water will be leaking out of there. And that's another one that can throw you off because that conduit is coming out and it's coming up and then it's running to wherever it turns up where they set a junction box.

But if it's the light leaking, it's not necessarily going to leak all the way down to the light. Cause what if the break in that conduit is a foot, you know, higher than that light niche. So that's where the water's going to stop. It's, water's not going to just run through that. It's not like slurping on it like a straw and sucking it through there.

Something else you can do to maybe help you locate a leak or get an idea where your leak is, is if you're pulling a lot of air in your system when your pump's running. If you're pulling a lot of air into that and you've checked all your valves, you checked your pump lid and all that. If you got a leak in the plumbing on a suction line, when the pump is off, that leak will leak water.

All right. And you're saturating the soil around that pump. piece of plumbing underground. Well, when you turn your pump back on, it will start siphoning that water back into the plumbing. And so you may not get bubbles for a little bit, but then all of a sudden you start getting a few bubbles and then you start getting a lot of bubbles and it just continues because you've sucked all that water back from around the pipe.

Until now you're sucking air because you've evacuated all the water from around the pipe and now it's sucking air. Now you're getting a lot of air into the system. So sometimes you can, okay, well, am I getting it? If I turn off this skimmer, if you're, if you have a valving where everything's separated by valves, okay, if I shut off this skimmer, am I still getting the air?

If I shut off this skimmer, am I still getting the air? If I shut off just the main drain, am I still getting the air? And that was, you know, then you can tell leak detector, Hey, this is what's going on. I'm pretty sure it's in my skimmer. It's in my skimmer plumbing. So he can show up and maybe just pressurize that line and say, yep, found the leak.

And this is where the leak is. And, you know, he can pressurize it and pump the air in, listen for it, locate it very, very well. Very accurately and then say, okay, we need to cut through the deck right here or it's over here on just under dirt and maybe he'll, he'll cut you a deal, you know, because, Hey, you know, you told me exactly, you know, you did all this extra stuff for me.

And so all I had to do, I went right to it, man. And I found it and thank you very much. Yeah. So, uh, so that, that's, you know, that's a good indicator where a leak may be now. Oh Lord, we got to go to another break, babe. All right. So we're, we're going to go to break. Hey guys, welcome back to The Deep End with Frank and Juggie. We're talking about leaks. Today in your pool. Yep. And we had a question about, you know, um, how do I know? How do it know? Yeah. And what are some fixes maybe? Or where do I? Yeah. Simple find. Simple ways to find it while, while, while he's waiting on a leak detector.

Or maybe help the leak detector. So when he gets there, he can blow right through it. But I want to talk about some of the temporary fixes and some of the permanent fixes on some of these things we've identified, like say it is the skimmer throat. Well, you can temporary patch that with an AB putty. Now that is a temporary at best.

It will open back up. I promise you it is a bandaid, but it will stop the leak right now. And say you suspect that's where it is. You, you're seeing a little gap in that joint. So you just go in and you putty that very well, then do it clean. Y'all don't be sloppy. There's nothing that bothers me more than when I see people just gunked on AB putty.

No, you can make it pretty. Not everybody's as gentle as you are with things, and it's pretty, and not everybody does that, baby. But, but, alright, so you can seal around this joint, and if now your water loss stops, hey, you found it. All right, but now our permanent fix is we do a skimmer injection, and if it's bad enough and your skimmer's got some cracks in it or something like that, well, okay, maybe we need to replace the skimmer, but more times than not, we can permanently fix that with the skimmer injection, which is where we drill a hole through the bottom of the skimmer, the flat part of the skimmer, and we inject this foam and it surrounds the skimmer.

All the little gaps from the outside and seals them from the outside in. And that is 99 percent of the time, a permanent repair for that skimmer. And that skimmer one, it makes it more stable. So it may not move near as much as it used to. And even if it does move a little bit, that we've completely. Fill those voids around that skimmer.

So it can, you know, maybe can it, it can accept a little bit of movement and still not leak. So, so that would be the permanent fix for that. All right. Around jets, like if your returns or the plumbing comes through the wall, I told you, you can use that dye and you may see it sucking that dye through around the jets.

Okay. Temporary fix AB putty. You know, you can get black, you can get white, you can go in there, you can putty it, see if that stops your, you know, all your leak and, you know, maybe do a bucket test or whatever to help verify it. But the real permanent fix on that is a plaster patch or a replaster because that AB putty, it may last for a while, but it's probably going to wear out eventually.

So that really needs to be repaired properly and not just AB puttied. One of the other things, the in floor drain. You know, you can seal it. You know, if, if you pretty sure it's in that you can dive down there, plug that pipe, uh, plug it over at the equipment, you know, and that'll stop the leak. Like I was telling them that one gentleman we had do that light niches.

If you're like niches leaking, sometimes it leaks around the light niche and you can test that would die. But a lot, most of the time it's through the conduit coming into the back of that light niche and he'd get up in there. He squirt the diet. If it's sucking it into that conduit. Well, then the. Really best repair for that that I found is butyl tape.

That's B U T Y L. I also get that from Anderson Leak Tools, you know, leaktools. com. But that, this is like a tarry product, not a tarry, like, you know, the old school video games, but tarry, like, you know, Black and sticky. Yeah, like tar. And take it and you can pack it in around that cord coming through that conduit.

And that holds up very, very well if you do it properly. But some, a lot of guys will just do AB putty on that and that doesn't last. And eventually that's going to leak again and then you're down there and now you got to clean all that crap off. But if you do a proper repair with the butyl tape, that's.

pretty much a permanent fix. If you got visible cracks, like coming up your walls and stuff like that, you can temporary stop the water loss with a B putty. But if you got cracks in your pool structure, you really need to fix that properly. And. Not just plaster over it because if it's moved and cracked it really needs, you know, don't waste the money to yeah It's a you gotta get a fix.

Yeah, it's a very expensive fix Yeah, cuz it ain't just plastering over it and putting the band aid underneath the plaster It really needs to be busted out and you need to tie all that back together get it secure and then After you fix all that, then you can repair the plaster over that. Now, I have seen it where people, instead of replastering the whole pool, they, they go back with the exact same plaster and like where the line was cut and they busted out, you know, a foot, two foot wide and tied everything in together.

And then. Fixed it with concrete and then came back and patched plaster over that, even though they went with the exact same plaster that the pool was originally plastered with. If it's a couple of years old, it's going to look different. Plaster changes color over time and it's going to look like a big old patch.

That's just all there is to it. But you know what? It's. At least you're not losing water. And maybe you didn't want to spend the 10 grand it takes now to plaster a pool. You know, maybe, okay. All right. It's costing us a ton just to fix that crack. Okay. Let's yeah, maybe in four or five years, we'll replaster the whole pool.

But for right now, we just, we're just. We want to, you know, stop the bleeding, you know? So, but that's, you know, that that's a more of a permanent fix or that is a permanent fix and, but a lot of times, and I hate to say it because it can scare people. A lot of times you got to pull this moving a lot and it's cracking a lot.

Well, first of all, you got to stop the leaking and you got to let your soil get right again, because now it's soaked and you got to seal the cracks. So you stop wetting the soil under the pool and then it can move again because your soil started shrinking again because it's no longer saturated and the pool can move again and it can break in a completely different spot.

And that's the scary thing. Right, right. Best thing I can tell people on that is, boy, you got to go to the build, you know, when the pool's built, if it needs to be peered, it needs to be peered. If you need to do some kind of treatment to the soil because of clay or whatever, there's soil injection. Uh, I used to soil inject most of the pools I built, and it would really tick me off when I'd see some of these really high end builders that wouldn't do anything.

They would just go in, dig a freaking hole, throw some rebar in it, gun at it. And, and they didn't do anything to prep for that soil, but you know, some of the builders do, it's just, you know, a few come to mind and I'm not going to mention them. No, that would not be nice. No, no, but it really would pay if you're going to have a pool built to have the soil engineered.

Mm hmm. And now sometimes these engineers go crazy. They want you to dig 20 feet around and all this crap and repack the soil and then, and then dig the pool. Well, all right. All right. That may be a bit much, but, but peering or soil injections, stuff like that, you know, but a lot of times if you got a lot of cracks in the pool, boy, it just may not be worth it.

Right. Right. Uh, so. Um, I'm sorry, you know, it may hold, it may hold for quite a while, but wow, I just see so many people put a lot of money in the fixing cracks and then the pull cracks again. Right. So anyway, but that is about all we got to that. So all you have to answer that question. That's yeah. There's a lot of other leak situations that might come up.
