Frank Disher:Happy Spring y'all you and
Unknown:the water is green. Hey friends, welcome to the deep end with Frank and Jackie his side kicking life and on the air. We're so glad you're with us. Spring is not sprung, but we have sprung forward. It's just kind of pre sprung time was, yeah, this is a hard one. This is always springing forward. Is always hard, yeah, for me, I don't know. Right
Frank Disher:now we're getting our second West Texas dust storm blowing into Dallas, Fort Worth area. Thank you West Texas for that. Everything's gonna get dirty again. Yeah? All kinds of weather happening, yep, but we need rain. We need rain. And that's, that's probably why it's so dusty, you know, because the winds are really howling and everything's dry. So it's got all this dead, you know, material from the Winter hasn't had any rain to, like, wet it down and pack it down, so it's just lifting up. Sure, coming to, coming to Dallas. Yeah,
Unknown:we're about to do March Madness. Yes, that's what we're, yeah,
Frank Disher:March Madness. Oh yeah, yeah. They're, they're in the conference turnings right now, on
Unknown:Sunday, tomorrow, we can, evidently, pick our brackets and all the things. That'll be cool. Finally, we'll have, I'm like, March Madness. And so March 1. I'm like, I want to pick all my things, you know. And well,
Frank Disher:you know, it used to almost be done by the end of March, mid April,
Unknown:and that drives me crazy.
Frank Disher:But we got our Grand Opening going on. We do have our Grand Opening going on. Got some big deals. If you're in the Dallas, fourth area, you need to drive across town. It's worth the drive. Yes, definitely worth a dress. Seriously. I mean, we got 50 pound tabs, and these are good tabs. This isn't the Chinese cheap crap. This is good tabs. Let
Unknown:me just tell y'all, this is not the Yeah, but I can get it online for half that price, yeah, but I can get on Amazon for No, y'all, all tabs are not the same. When will people who own pools and you put$100,000 plus investment in their backyard realize that I don't mean to art, I don't be mean to people, but I'm just saying, y'all, it's
Frank Disher:like, yeah, you know, I want to buy, you know,$100,000 car, but you know what? I'm gonna put the cheapest freaking oil I can in it, and I'm
Unknown:not gonna use premium gas, because that doesn't mess with my engine. Not that I'm not bitter. I'm just like, but people don't get it. People understand and I get
Frank Disher:it. Yeah, we also got good deals on shock. We got good deals on balancers. We've got good deals on everything, so you need to come across there. Oh, and equipment, pumps, filters, heaters, all Jandy stuff. We're even extending the on the control systems. We got a good deal going on the poolside tech, yeah, the attendant, attend the many. That's a fabulous control system, if you're you know, if you're in the market to get a control system, you really need to look up the attendant. I ain't kidding. It's next level, and for about the same price. It may even be cheaper, but it is next level. Controls. It is crazy. Uses, AI. It's super, super smart. It figures your pull out, yeah, it figures your pull out for you. You
Unknown:also have deals on if you buy this the installation, do we? Do? We
Frank Disher:have no no because no labor deals, because I'm giving you the freaking
Unknown:equipment too. Okay, that's what I'm saying. Okay? Because we've had people
Frank Disher:ask, yeah, but you can't walk in the store and buy the pump yourself and install it yourself, but good luck with your warranty if that happens, though, or you can. You still get the good deal on the equipment and if we install it. But no, I'm not cutting labor too. Y'all, come on.
Unknown:I'm just bringing it up because people are calling and going so if I buy all this, are you cutting the are you gonna install
Frank Disher:it for free? Yeah, no, no, you know what. Actually, I'm gonna pay you $100 if you'll let me. Come on, people, come on. I'm a business. I mean, I'm not the government. I don't I cannot operate in a deficit. Yeah, we're going to get Doge in here,
Unknown:whip me in the shape. We have that. We have that grand opening last weekend, and we were headed to Austin to see our Parker grace, oh,
Frank Disher:she killed it. Y'all, y'all, she
Unknown:was queen of hearts, Queen of Hearts, and Alice in Wonderland. And that show was all about her. She owned,
Frank Disher:yes, that state. It's like, Yeah, this is Elementary School show, and it's
Unknown:Alice in Wonderland. It's all about Alice. But then
Frank Disher:she took the stage. Is like, Y'all Okay, she killed it. Oh, she was so fabulous. I
Unknown:posted videos, and I've gotten so many people saying, oh my goodness, yeah, he could hear people home. He was fabulous. So we want to give her a shout out. We also had Carter rose turned one.
Frank Disher:That birthday is today. Lord, your birthday celebrating party is today.
Unknown:She's born the 13th. So she's our youngest little. She's one, and then we also have a new family member. Oh yes, that we picked up on Tuesday, yes, who is listening for the first time and being part of but she doesn't bar podcast. She's not yet, not yet. She's three months. She's not even three months. Oh
Frank Disher:yes. And I'll post some pictures on Facebook of our new Daisy.
Unknown:Daisy may actually Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, but she's, she's, you know, she's in Texas, so she's Daisy, Mae, she's a
Frank Disher:morkey. Yes, have Maltese, but looks multi but
Unknown:looks totally whereas our sweet, sweet Lola that we lost was morky, but looked like a Yorkie and had the attitude and had the attitude over here. Yeah, this is not a replacement for our Lola bug, our buggy, we miss Lola. It fills a hole, fills a little bit of that hole, and all the things. And so she's doing great. Daisy, get over here. Daisy may get over here. Daisy come here. Daisy come here. Sister, yeah. So anyway, we'll post some pictures of her, because she's absolutely done. She's got the face of an angel. She just is so sorry. So we're happy to have her in our family, yes, because our puppy dogs are family, they just are Yeah. They
Frank Disher:are Yeah, but we love her to do. Gotta tell foster or, you know, we went down to go see Parker, and we were paint playing four square out in the street before we headed back and foster looks at because foster likes to tell me jokes and foster looks at me. He goes, Hey, oompa, that's what they call me. They call me open and Jackie Jaya. He goes, Ooba, Are you rich? I was like, no, no, I wouldn't consider myself rich. Foster, why? He goes, Well, I just wonder why you had four chins. Four chins. Yeah, uh huh. The painful joke, so I immediately started intermittent fasting and see if I can't lose a couple. Totally did not.
Unknown:Taco Bena, you did not
Frank Disher:anyway. So yeah, let's get rolling with show. And got a couple things, or do you have anything else you
Unknown:would cover? I'm good. I'm good. What? What are we talking about today?
Frank Disher:I wanted to just got a couple things I want to talk about. One is this question has come up a couple times. People ask about fertilizing around your pool. And you know, does that? You know, is that bad for your pool? Yeah, you do not want to get fertilizer in your pool. All right, even if you're just spraying fertilizer on the yard, you don't want that to get in your pool. If you're going to be spraying fertilizer like a liquid type fertilizer, you want to do that on a day when it is not windy. All right. There's a few reasons. All right. One is, there's a lot of metals in fertilizer. Iron is a is a metal that they put in fertilizers because plants like it. And algae is not a plant, but it's in the plant family, but it's not a plant, but it's very, very plant, like in a lot of the things that plants and grass like and need to be healthy, algae needs the same thing. One of them, like, when you look at a bag of fertilizer, it'd be like 1015, 30. Well, one of those numbers is phosphates. Okay, phosphates is a huge thing in feeding plants, and it's also a huge thing that algae. Of and use this to help multiply. Because we've talked about, you know, our whole thing is, you know, to kill algae faster than it multiplies. It makes our chemistry much, much easier. If you, if you just get that number down with a good pH, seven and a half percent of whatever your cya is, if you'll maintain seven and a half percent of your seaway in free chlorine, and with a good pH you can kill algae faster than it multiplies, and you stay on top of it. Well, if you start feeding your algae by putting phosphates and stuff like that in the water, because there's already a little bit in your tap water, y'all, they use it to treat the plumbing and stuff, you know, in the water when it's leaving the city water supply and it's coming in the plumbing. Well, a lot of towns will put phosphate materials into the water to help preserve the plumbing. Because they have a lot of concrete plumbing, they'll preserve that plumbing by using phosphate materials. So you're already getting a little bit of phosphates in the water, but if you start throwing phosphates with fertilizer, you stand a really good chance of having more issues with algae because you're feeding it and making it extremely healthy. So you want to be real careful with that. Well, the metals that are in fertilizer, particularly granular fertilizers, they can leave stains in your pool, and we'll see it a lot. It's easy to pick out a fertilizer stain when you see it on plaster, because it's typically like a brown streaky where it's like, kind of dissolved and just kind of streaked as it either changed elevations on the plaster, or either current is just kind of taking it, and you'll get these brown spots that just kind of, they're lighter brown, and they just kind of streak, well, that's iron from fertilizer. Iron, iron. It's our how you supposed to say it? Iron,
Unknown:iron. Oh,
Frank Disher:that really didn't occur to me. I'll be honest, I'm sitting there thinking all the ways I could say an iron, iron. Say it again, iron, iron, iron, but spelled iron anyway, all right, so we're going to move
Unknown:on, iron. Man. You know the movie we are knowing he's iron I like your eyeball. Iron Man, as
Frank Disher:an I E, A, R n, I earn. Man, Iron. Iron Man, okay, got it
Unknown:moving on.
Frank Disher:All right. So I want to talk a little bit about, you know, I just want to cover that, because I have seen that question a couple times in some of the national groups, because everybody's fertilizing right now, you know, their grass. You know, it's just in lot of parts of the country, especially here, what? And I gotta get my sprinkler system fixed, because we took a lightning strike, and the only thing it killed in the whole house was our sprinkler system and
Unknown:our internet for a while,
Frank Disher:it hit the house. Y'all, yeah, it actually hit the house. It's about to get hot, so it's warmed up, and we got no rain in the forecast right now. You've heard it
Unknown:on radio. Y'all that he needs to make that a priority.
Frank Disher:We'll work on that. Let's go ahead and go to break. We're going to break. We're going to break a little bit early, but we're going to go to break, and when we come back, I got a couple other things. It's going to be a fairly short show today. I think we've got a couple other things, and we'll be see all in a sec, and

Hey, friends, welcome back to the deep end. We're talking about just some things that will help you. Coming into spring, since it is springing and it's doing its thing, it's about to, you know, I'm about to have to have my long guy come on my mind because it's gonna spring up. I don't want to start paying for that again. But it's spring, you know,
Frank Disher:and your pool's about to your pool's about to not ready. It's about to jump up and slap you. Listen,
Unknown:man, get that ready right now, a little bit at a time, so that when it comes you don't have to plop down all the things start it right now. We're not diligent in the winter, now is the time to start doing some things. Yes, because
Frank Disher:you are. You don't want to play catch up. Y'all. Playing catch up is expensive, and it takes a lot more work. And 6870 degrees is the magic number. What we see in North Texas when our water temperature hits 6870, degrees. That's when the lines come, go out the door. People bring it in the water because they're looking out in their backyard. They're still ignoring their pool, and they look out there, and now the pool is green, and it kind of freaks them out, and they go into panic mode because they've ignored it for several months. Green is my least favorite color. Oh, I don't mind green. I don't mind green. I just want it in the bowl. So we need to be ready. We need to be ready. You need to get make sure your water balance is right according to water temperatures. So you're if you did get any metals or like that over the winter, you let your water get aggressive, and you brought in some extra calcium from your plaster, maybe some metals from your heater and stuff like that, because you don't listen to me, and you ignore your pool in the winter, and all of a sudden, all those extra metals and that extra calcium is in your water, and the water starting to warm up. And as water warms up, it becomes more scaling. So any metals in calcium that you have in the water, if you're not controlling it, and you get a spike in pH, or a big rise in water temperature, or a big spike in alkalinity, all of a sudden that calcium in those metals are going to come out of solution and start staining and scaling your pool. So get on it now, before that happens, because the fix cost a lot more and takes a lot more work. So let's, let's get on it now. That's not fun. So, but one of the other things I want to talk about was the stain removal and being ready for that. So if you are starting to see a few little stains from, you know, from some of the things that got in the water. And your water, okay, you didn't do the world's best job managing your water, the water balance over the winter, and you did start getting some stains. Or at first, you need to identify the stains. Typically, you know, if, if it's a brown stain that has happened because acorns or leaves or something like that were sitting there, that's typically tannin. And tannin is stuff that comes out of, I know it's there's a lot of it in like oak leaves and things like that. Acorns have a lot of tannin in branches, maybe branches, it's oak trees. And I'm sure other trees have a lot have tannin in them also. But oaks are just in this part of the country, we have a lot of oaks and killer they're really bad with the tannin. Actually, I found out tanning is what makes acorns bitter. We've had that discussion, and you looked at me like, How in the world do you know what an acorn tastes like? Because
Unknown:you ate an acorn. Who does that? I don't know. Oh yeah, I was hungry. Your parents didn't feed you. I was
Frank Disher:raised by wolves. Is either that or road kill, so I chose the acorn. But tannin, if it gets if it gets on your plaster, it's really easy to bleach out. Okay, with just higher chlorines, you can oxidize it, and that discoloration will go away. So don't freak out. Don't go buy a bunch of stain removals. If it's possibly tanning. First thing you want to do is is get your chlorine levels right and see if it just doesn't go away on its own. Right. Now, if you've let stuff sit in the bottom like a chair blew in and you've been looking at it for three weeks, you're finally like, all right, I want to pull that lounge chair out and and now it let you big, nice rust stain there on the plaster, or some roofing nails, or any kind of nail or metal had fallen into the pool, unless some rust stains. Y'all, there's, there's ways to handle it. And first of all, if it's iron, if it's an iron, iron, iron, iron, if it's iron, why can I not say that iron? If it's an iron? Want
Unknown:to know why you can't pronounce 90% of words correctly. I mean,
Frank Disher:if it's an iron, iron, that would. That should not be that hard. All right,
Unknown:iron. It's not to any if
Frank Disher:it's an iron stain, if it's little spots and you just have a few isolated little spots that you have to go after. All right, y'all what I do, and I've done this in the past, I have a video on our actually, I got a few videos on our YouTube channel. You can find it by searching at deep and Frank is I take a little cup of acid and I take syringes, and like those diet test syringes that have a little tube on the end of them, that's so they're made so you can squirt dye up and little nooks and crannies slowly. Well, I take those same syringes and I suck up muriatic acid into these little syringes, and I'll and I'll put a little bit of Dawn dishwashing soap in it, in there with it, and I'll take those and I can directly put that on the iron stain, just on the iron own.
Unknown:Stop it. I'm sorry. My ears are just so honed in
Frank Disher:tonight. I don't know, all right, so go down and I got dive gear, but you could probably do with the mask, but the water's got to be calm for you to do it, and you can just put this, the solution directly to the stain, and not a bunch of it. Y'all, I'm talking just a little itty bitty bit, just slowly squeeze it out on that little spot, and it will just eat the spot. And you're not having to change all your water. Be gone. Be gone. Spot. Be gone. Y'all, all right, but, but you can do that, and especially if it's like on a tanning ledge or something like that. You know that'd be easy. You don't have to dive. But I love using that method. Y'all we've, we've had clients that have had, they had their house re, roofed, and they dropped a few nails into the pool, and then they're cleaner, moved those nails all over the pool, and they end up with, like, 100 120 nail iron stains. How many? About 100 120, 100, 100 Hunter. There I go again. Y'all, we did it. We did a commercial and and I dressed up as a leprechaun. You can check it out on our YouTube page. But is for you know, it's Saint Patrick's Day. And I realized, y'all, I say 100, 100, not 100. I say 100. There you go. But it's, it's easier my way I say, I say, Everybody just switched my way. It's easier. I promise you, it's easier to say 100 than it is 100. But anyway, so I had to make fun of myself on that, because that was that.
Unknown:And you also contacted our high school English teacher. Yes,
Frank Disher:I tagged her in and apologized, but Mrs. Crane, Miss, Miss Crane, we loved her, but, and still do anyway. So have about 100 120 of these stains around the pool, and I can take these syringes, I take my dive gear, and in two, two and a half hours, I can go from spot to spot, removing each and every stain completely, and only go through about a cup and a half, two cups total of acid. So that's not enough to completely throw, you know, whack out the water chemistry, pH and all that. There's not a whole lot more adjustment we need to do. But what I do recommend you pull that much more iron off the surface and get it in solution in the water. Now you have all that extra iron in the water. So now I would get the See you later, stain eliminator. There's we got a discount code. If you look in the description of the podcast, we got a discount code for their online purchases or come into my stores. I sell their products in my stores. I love their products, the best stain removal stuff on the planet, and the only product that actually removes metals from water. And they got great stain removal products also, like, if your whole pool is discolored or you don't want to do the dive thing, they have excellent stain removal products for iron and copper. Did I say copper? Right? Okay, I got I got copper down. Y'all got that all right. So they got great products for that. They got great products for sequestering metals into the water so it doesn't come out of solution and stain, but their metal eliminator actually removes the metals from the water so it cannot stain, and you're much better off by preventing the stain than you are at removing the stain. So have your water tested if you ever get start getting trace amounts of copper in iron in your water. Then use this metal eliminator. But from CU later, it's periodic products, and see you later, C, U, L, A, T, O, R, their products do a fantastic job. The metal eliminator will remove the metal from the water, and it's no longer a threat to stain. Pull that's easier than removing the stain. Once it stains now you have to pull it off the surface, get it into solution. Once you get it into solution, you need to sequester it, which is a product that you put in the water, and they sell a really good sequestering agent. It sequesters it in the water to prevent it from coming back out of a solution, back onto the surfaces. While you use the metal Eliminator, it's a little cage, little thing that you put in your skimmer basket, and that will remove the metal from the water. So it's remove the stain, get it into solution. Then, once it's in solution, now remove it from solution by using the metal eliminator. It's a three step process once you've stained, but you need to identify the stain. They have little packets that you can put in there. They're very, very cheap. You can throw them in your skimmer, and you can see what metals you have in your water before you stain. Or if you're already starting to get a little bit of staining, got these little packets, and the color it turns after a few days, we'll tell you what the metal is that you have in the water, and then you can use their product to remove it, or you can use Jack's magic stain ID kit if you have just a whole lot of really bad staining. And we love Jack's magic. Yeah, Jack's magic is good people too. We like them, but I just like, see you later. Much, much better. Yeah, and I'm I was their first certified star, their stain removal certification. I was the first one to ever get that and but great products. Love them. But y'all, it is already time to go back to another break. So we're going to go to a break and we'll come back. We just got a few more minutes, and one more thing I want to talk about, and we'll see how in a minute. Hey, Jackie, hey Frank. Have you ever wondered how you can clean between all those pesky filter pleats on a cartridge filter? Yeah,
Unknown:I lose sleep over it. I mean, it's so tedious and it takes forever, I could never seem to get them all clean. Well,
Frank Disher:here's a pro tip. Try the cyclone filter cleaner. It uses water pressure from your garden hose to spin the filter as you clean it. This allows all the filter pleats to get thoroughly cleaned out. And the best part is it is fast and doesn't hurt
Unknown:your back, wow. The cyclone filter cleaner. You got it?
Frank Disher:The cyclone filter cleaner, you can thank me later. Thank and what I love about their filter cleaner is they have this wand. It's the best filter cleaning spray device I've ever used. We've tried many, many different ones. They got a short version now and they got a long version, but I love using those things, even on our de filters, we use their wands. And do we have a code? We have a special discount code. If you go to cyclone filter tools.com, and use code deep end, you'll save 10% on your order so you can buy direct from them. Great stuff. I'm glad I found it. We got one on every truck. My guys love it. Guys, don't miss out on this. This is the best filter cleaning system out there,

Jacque:Hey, friends, welcome back to the deep end with Frank and Jackie. We're talking about some things just to springboard on spring that's coming, yeah, and things that we'll be talking about the next few weeks to get you ready to get into your pool.
Frank Disher:Yes, and I just have a couple more things I want to talk about. One of them is your pump run times. Y'all, you need to, if you've been running over the overnight, you need to start running during the day, when the sun's on the pool. You want to make sure, at least, here in North Texas, you want a minimum, minimum of two turnovers per day. You want the volume of water in your pool going through your filter a minimum two times per day. As this water starts warming up, I like three times even better, more of the better. If you got a variable speed pump, take start taking advantage of some of those lower speeds run much longer hours, but you need to do the calculations and make sure you're turning that pullover at least twice a day. So that's really critical. Going into this warmer water, warmer weather, you're going to start getting some rains right now. We're getting all West Texas dumping on Dallas Fort Worth area. So we're getting all kinds of crap in our water right now, but we need to be. Ready for this. Our pumps need to be running the proper time of day and the proper amount of hours each day. So let's, let's make sure we get that straightened out. So I won't touch on that. Another thing is, y'all, I'm just keep falling in love with it. The more I see it, the more I sell them, the more I observe them, the more I like them. Is the beta, the from beta bot.com we have the
Unknown:we love those guys. They're so fabulous. It's we got
Frank Disher:the beta se plus is what we're selling in the store. And if you're not near me, if you can't come into my one of my stores and buy them, I may be a little bit cheaper than online, but I do have a discount code. Yes. All right, these guys love me because I love them, and they appreciate me pushing them. You know, they're so smart and so kind. They're not paying me to say this. They're but they did give me a discount code. So if you go to beta bot.com and spell that, B, E, T, T, A, B, O, t.com, and use the coupon code when you go to check out. The coupon code is b t r f f d, as in dog, so b t r f f d6, two. That is the coupon code, and that'll get you 5% off if you purchase online, right? But all right, so yeah, this this cleaner. It just works the surface. It just goes around, but it runs all the freaking time. It's always it's not skimming around like a speed boat across the top of the pool. It's moving very slowly, but it's just slowly, just randomly making it around
Unknown:the surface. Bothers me. You know what I'm saying? That's what you see. Yeah, yeah. And I just want it to look clean. And this guy, this beta with two T's, this guy does it all.
Frank Disher:And I can't wait for crape myrtle season, because now I'm in love with the beta. It's going to do a great job on these crape myrtles. And it's so easy to empty. You don't have to pull it out of the water. You just open the top. As it's coming by, you just open the top, take the little basket out. It's very easy to take out and dump it all right? Well, if you stop this stuff first of all, getting the stuff out of the water before it starts breaking down and releasing nutrients into the water, but it goes around. It picks all these things up before they have a chance to fall out. So it's just giving them off the surface. Like I said, it's a piece of cake to pull out. And what I'm really loving about it, and this just kind of came together for me, and maybe everybody else might already known this, and they just finally slapped me in the face and made me realize it. But y'all, when we got these robotic cleaners, you're not supposed to leave them in the pool. You're supposed to run them, pull them out. But so many people just leave them in the pool and run them every day, run them every other day, or whatever. But extend the life of these expensive cleaners, you really need to pull them out after each time you use them. So if you're using this beta, we call it our robotic bundle. We're like, if you buy a Polaris robotic, like alpha iq plus or an epic series, and I love Polaris floor and walks cleaners, I think they're just fantastic. And their support is really, really good, yeah. But so I love them. But you know, you know they're expensive, y'all, and I don't want you wearing them out. And, well, actually, yeah, I do want to sell you another but if you'll, if you'll pull them out after each time and only run them once or twice a week and let the beta take care of stuff as it's falling into the pool and before it sinks to the bottom, you're going to only have to run your robotic once or twice a week, and it's going saves the life of it, saves the life of it, and your pool is always going to look better. And this beta is very, very easy to pull out of the pool if you are going to go swimming, okay, just grab it set once you pull it out of the water. You know it's very easy, on off switch, and when you're done swimming, just drop it back in the water. Let it do its thing, but let the beta do the bulk of the work. It's cheap, y'all, it's cheap. I feel
Unknown:like we're going to do something on this in the next few weeks, because it's that time of the year, but I'm reminded of our friend who sent us a picture that had a beta, that had a had a critter. I feel like we're gonna do a critter series. Yes, we're doing, we're doing critters. Y'all be careful when you're pulling these things out, because there are travelers, yes, especially on the top, that can get into these, these devices. Yes, yeah, no. I mean anything that you have, yeah, it's a Copperhead. Yeah. As
Frank Disher:a Copperhead, she had, she had a bait in the copperhead was head was hanging out. Good picture, yeah, but so, yeah, but just like sticking your hand down a skimmer, y'all just
Unknown:be careful you look before you go sticking your hand and we're gonna do a critter show, yeah, critters
Frank Disher:is coming. Critters is critters is coming. Critters is coming, right? So, yeah, but so I love the beta. I really do. It's great, and it's inexpensive, and it doesn't take a power Well, it does have a power supply. You can fully charge it, but it does charge itself from the sun. It's solar powered, so cool, and so you just set it in the water and it starts. The only one I've had come back that somebody said they hated it, and this guy, I kind of, I kind of, saw this coming, because this guy, let's just say, wasn't the most pleasant person I've ever dealt with, and he was a little bit hateful to my staff. Well, this is, I think he was somebody else's customer that we that just happened to be driving by, because our customers Ain't this way. No, but this guy came in, he was kind of a turd the minute he walked in the door, and he was a turd when he left. He brought it back three days later. Said, is a piece of crap. Makes all kind of noise and doesn't work. Oh well, here the store called me. So what do I do? What do you do? They said, What do we do? And I said, You gave him his money back and way by and let him go away, because we knew he's gonna be a problem. But y'all, he never, he never opened it up and took all the stuff that's inside of it. There was stuff in yes, there's boxes of stuff inside of it, the charging unit, the because when you can fully charge it, and all that, and boxes of things, and the big foam thing that they put in there so things don't move around. He still had all that stuff in the basket, all right. So, yeah, yeah, we're the dummies guy. We're the dummies. Nice job. But anyway, that's only one we've had come back, but it's everybody else is so extreme. Everybody's very happy with it. And like I said, we're doing the robotic bundle. We really cannot go below price that we're at on our Polaris cleaners, because it can affect the warranty and the rebates, but we can on the beta. So we do a bundle, and basically you buy the Polaris robotic cleaner, and we give you a really good deal on the beta so you get both. So that's going to help you extend the life of your players cleaner, your very expensive players cleaner. That's worth it. It does a great job. It's worth what you pay for it, but it's going to help you develop a pattern and a system to where you're not leaving it in the water all the time, and your debate is taking care of it day to day. And then your your Polaris cleaner goes in once or twice a week, cleans up the steps and the floor and the walls and does it scrubbing, and you're done. Now that cleaner is going to last you much, much, much longer. Now y'all you're not going to wear it out you're not wearing running constantly. And then the last thing I want to talk about, and I just did a 44 second pool school episode on this, is how long to run your pressure side cleaners. If you have a pressure side cleaner that has a booster pump that kicks on, you know, 2345, some of you six, eight hours a day, y'all, you're killing these things. It doesn't need to run six hours a day. It doesn't need to run five hours a day. It does typically, doesn't need to run three hours a day. It only needs to run long enough each day to fully cover the pool randomly, right, right? And if you watch it, y'all that may only be an hour and a half or possibly two hours, unless you got a big old pool, just hour and a half. Two hours is typically all you need to run that when you're running it longer, one, you're wasting electricity, and two, you're wearing the cleaner out. It has a lot of wear items. It has bearings, it has tires, it has bags. It has the tail that's swinging back and forth. You're wearing this poor little fella out because you're running him so dang much back off, you're probably not even going to notice. Y'all. It's like if you're vacuuming your living room. All right, if you vacuum that same spot six freaking times today, all right, if you could vacuum your living room in five minutes, but you're gonna vacuum it for an hour and just run over the same spot over and over and over and over, you think you're gonna tell much of a difference? I don't think you will. I don't think you will, but you know what? I bet you wear out that vacuum cleaner a lot quicker. You got
Unknown:lots of experience vacuuming,
Frank Disher:not a house. I vacuum a lot of pools. Vacuum a lot of
Unknown:you are correct. My vacuum, from my vacuum experience,
Frank Disher:you are correct. All right, I should have reached out to the experts anyway. Yeah? So y'all you know, I don't want you to have to buy stuff unnecessarily. I want you to buy good stuff, yeah, but I don't want you to wear it out unnecessarily. I don't want you to buy stuff that's no good that you know you're gonna have to replace all the freaking time, because it just doesn't last. So, you know, I'm just trying to give you some little tips and pointers here, because that's how I roll. But y'all, that's pretty much all I got today. But, yeah, hey, I just want to give a shout out to all our sponsors. You know, we got blu ray Excel, love. Oh, by the way, get your blu ray excel in your pool. This is now when you want to get your blu ray Excel, get your metals tested, remove it, if needed, by using cu later, and now get your blu ray XL in the pool. Now, yes, you want it before your algae can start going crazy on. You don't ever give it the chance, y'all so get your blu ray XL and now get your borates in now, yep, all right, and you're going to be ready. So blue ray XL, love you. Chris Gavin, yeah, see you later. Another one our sponsors pull works. Man.
Unknown:Love you guys.
Frank Disher:Yep, yep, great. New people. Yeah, we're bringing a lot of new people. Oh, we love I'm taking, well, I'm probably taking two, two or three phone calls a week. People want to come in the pool. Works, awesome.
Unknown:New people that are just opening things, yep.
Frank Disher:One of the biggest benefits I think you get by, you know, if you're going to go in the pool industry or whatever, one of the biggest benefits you get by being part of the porch group is the other franchisees. Yeah, y'all. We take care of each other. We help each other out. I we invite people all the time. We had him, we had a guy come in last week for three days, came in, rode with my guys, see how we do things, my repair guys, saw how we ran retail, saw how we ran our service department. It's finding best practice. And we do the same thing. We go out, we visit other boards. So it's like guys in the industry that aren't your competition, but that want you to succeed. So we help feed each other. Yeah, and we want everybody, I need the poor works across town to be a good company and to be a good, successful company that helps me. So if somebody moves from over there to over here, they're looking for the local poor. We mean,
Jacque:we need friends that are in, you know, the eastern side of the country to go, yeah, oh, y'all do poor. We've got a poor works in South Carolina. Yes, they're good people. We need them to succeed, and so we all need to. And by the way, South Carolina, all of our Florida friends, y'all are darling. We love them so much.
Frank Disher:Georgia people, Georgia people, yeah, we want to give a shout out to fluidra, their sponsors. That's Jandy. Y'all Polaris I love them, that. That's why I love having them as a sponsor. But great company. I love their cleaners. I love their pumps all over the filters, everything. Customer Service, yeah, and their customer services, their support is talking ridiculous, yeah, alright.
