And I'm Kevin Harrington, original shark from the hit show Shark Tank. And we created this show to really show you behind the scenes of what it takes to grow brands and really behind the scenes of investing brands, scaling brands. And this episode really going to just show the background, how we even met.

So, Kevin, how did we meet? Well, we met 10 years ago. You were putting on a big event in Des Moines, Iowa at the Iowa State Fair, which I'd been to many times because that's where a lot of the people demonstrate products. And so I was familiar with the fairgrounds. You had an awesome event for young entrepreneurs. I was one of the keynote speakers. We met, we formed a relationship, and it was the beginning of something very powerful.

And the funny story of this, it started from the beginning. I saw Kevin on Shark Tank. He did a deal with Cactus Shaq Barringer, the famous inventor. And eventually that's how I got connected to an Iowa boy himself. Yes. But then from there, we formed a partnership. Now, 10 years fast forward, we've launched products, we've done TV shows, we've done shark retreats, we've done all this. But one of the first products we did together was a product called Peeps, an eyeglass cleaner. Talk about that product and the success we've had with that.

Yeah, so Peeps, um, it's a great product, and you know, the the issue is the price point is very low. So sometimes when you're selling something at a low cost, you've got to be careful with the cost to acquire the customer. So so this product had sold some um and had a little bit of success, but the cost to acquire the customer was way too high because it only sold for$14.95. So we came into this product launch and said, look, there's some things we can do. It's a$14.95 item, but if you wear glasses and you need to clean them, you you should have one of these by your nightstand, in the kitchen, in your car, in your office. So we increased the average order value tremendously and had big success then rolling this out because it was not just a$14.95 item. We were selling actually a$55 bundle of products when it was all said and done, making it a very successful item that ended up going to hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. An awesome success.

So that is one success. And over the years, you've taken 23 companies now to over 100 million. I've been involved with one of those companies, and today we formed big brand ventures. So what we do is we're venture equity, we build and scale brands. And this show is really bringing the behind the scenes some of the companies in our portfolio, people that are investing in brands, people that have launched brands, all that. Now, I know this is kind of an introduction to the episodes, but thinking in the future, what what are some tips, Kevin? Just branding tips for the listeners now and what they're gonna expect in the coming months.

So, I mean, there's a lot of entrepreneurs out there right now. If you're an entrepreneur, you have a product, maybe you have an invention, or maybe you have a service and you have a business you're starting, right? Well, how are you gonna get customers? This is what we focus on. For for 45 plus years, we've been focused on customer acquisition, customer acquisition on television, on radio, taking companies international, et cetera. But 10, 12 years ago, we said, you know what, as seen on TV is changing. People aren't watching as much TV. They're going to the internet, they're going to Facebook, they're going to Instagram. Kids come home from school, they don't go to Nickelodeon anymore like they used to. So the world has changed. We've moved into digital marketing. And that's what we're going to help you with is utilizing the digital assets that are out there, the TikToks, the TikTok shops, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, because we're going to be able to show you how to get new customers, how to keep those customers, and also manage to create as much business with those customers as possible.

So this is digital marketing. This is raising capital. This is launching products online. This is launching products on TV, radio, everything that's happening now. Just quickly before we wrap this, Kevin, your track record. Over the past 50 years, what have you done in sales? Talk about the successes.

I've shot over a thousand infomercial products. Those products have generated six plus billion dollars in sales, but some of them have created multi-billion dollar values in the process. So we've had, you know, 23 plus that have done over 100 million. We've had several that did over 500 million. We've had several that have done over a billion. So we've had a lot of success out in the marketplace, and we can be your partner and help you take your product or your business to the next level and beyond.
