Scripted Authenticity: - Home to Anthropomorphism & Championing Anthropomorphic Storytelling
Welcome to Scripted Authenticity, a weekly podcast where we delve into the world of literature, creativity, and everything in between. I'm your host, MickMacMike, and I'm excited to take you on a journey of discovery and insight. In today's episode, we'll explore the fascinating history of anthropomorphism in literature, share anecdotes of characters and authors from the past, offer advice for aspiring anthropomorphic writers, and much more.
Anthropomorphism, the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities, has a rich history in literature. From Aesop's Fables to George Orwell's Animal Farm, anthropomorphic characters have captured readers' imaginations for centuries. Join me as we explore the evolution of this literary device and its significance in storytelling.
So, let's jump right in!

BIO.
My name is Michael David Bowley, or MickMacMike if I am nervous. I am a retired English-born SEO content writer who lives with my beautiful Colombian-born Cristirin and three bilingual cats in the north of Santiago de Cali.
This book is my first outing as a budding writer of fact, fiction, downright lies, magic, history, and involving anything and anyone who may be considered oldish. Well, they do say to write what you know best, and I am 69 and halfway to 70. All my characters and features have aged, but they still have a soul. You, the reader, will witness life in three parts, in which 72 chapters culminate into one finale on a mountain ridge in South America. Together, objects, animals, birds, insects, trees and many characters come alive to you through their eyes as they all briefly come into contact with a strange-looking man with white hair, blue eyes, a red face and sturdy-looking legs. The same man who speaks little Spanish and appears out having a walk. This manuscript includes 598 pages with a word count of 260,860.
My next book, Liberators and Their Mighty Sabres will feature stories in the same vein as Adventures. Many of the historical characters will travel together from Venezuela to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru, and then back to Colombia once more.
Lastly, I have a third book in my head that will tell readers who the white-haired man is and what his life entailed, titled A Wasted Life of Continuous Betrayals. With this account, all the stories will be true.
Not bad for a child who was told books and learning would not be of use to me by my father over 60 years ago.
Regards
Mike Bowley or MickMacMike when nervous.
