Tangled

It’s May Day in Hoglington, and the excitement is buzzing through the school as the wheelie hog children rehearse for their big celebration! There’s music, flower crowns, and of course, the maypole dance! But Little Wee has one big worry... what if he gets tangled in the ribbons? 

With plenty of encouragement from Nana and the teachers, Little Wee gives it his best go. But just when things seem to be going smoothly, Duo, his dance partner spins the wrong way and suddenly... ribbons fly, wheels wobble, and even Miss Mattern ends up in a twist! 

Luckily, Nana comes to the rescue, gently untangling the group with her usual calm and kindness. With a few deep breaths (and a lot of giggles), the children give it another go, this time nailing the dance in front of the whole village! 

The celebration ends in true Hoglington style, with cheering families, proud teachers, and the joyful crowning of the May King and Queen, chosen by the pupils themselves.
