The Suspicious Death of Buffalo Jim
Buffalo Jim Barrier was a Las Vegas legend- a wrestling promoter, businessman, and outspoken figure who was life of this bustling city. For years, he feuded with Rick Rizzolo, the owner of Crazy Horse Too, a strip club linked to organized crime. When Buffalo Jim was found dead in a Motel 6 on April 6, 2008, the official cause was ruled a heart attack with traces of illegal drugs, but his family believed it was a mob hit.
The case is filled with suspicious details: a folded dollar bill (a possible mob calling card), a cryptic warning note, a mystery woman, a missing phone, and a car moved after his death. Even stranger, Rizzolo had been released from prison just one day before Jim died. Despite these red flags, authorities quickly closed the case, calling it natural causes.
Was Buffalo Jim’s death really an accident, or was it a carefully orchestrated murder? In this podcast, we uncover the dark underbelly of Las Vegas crime, possible police corruption, and a man who may have known too much. Listen now and decide for yourself- was Buffalo Jim silenced?
