People don't just buy from you. When they understand you, they buy from you when they feel understood, and that's huge. Welcome to the Creative Bodega, a podcast about content marketing, Instagram growth and personal branding for female service based soul solopreneurs who wanna grow their business without letting it take over their lives. I'm your host, EM Connors, and each week I'll share actionable tips, expert advice, and unfiltered truths to help you create engaging content, connect authentically with your audience and turn followers into loyal customers. All without the burnout. If you're ready to simplify your content creation, navigate the ever changing trends and build a business that works for you while staying sane in this crazy season of life, then you're in the right place. Alright, my friends, so last week we talked about why your dream clients. Might not be getting it right. I talked about the real reason your content isn't converting and that it might not be your offer, it's just your overall messaging. And this week in part two of this messaging series, I wanna go a bit deeper. I wanna walk you through the exact framework that I have developed to help me clarify my message. Because remember, this is not easy for me. This is actually. A muscle I have had to build and use over and over again. Design, graphics, branding, visuals. I can do it in my sleep. Feel so good about it. So confident messaging is, it's just scary to me to be honest. And I second guess everything I do. So if you do too, you're so far from alone in feeling that way. But this framework that I have. Had to just sit down and really think about like, what have I done to build this community that I have? What have I done to get people to know, like, and trust me and buy from me? What have I done to be on track to hit a million dollars in revenue this year? It's what connects and converts and really feels like me. And again, I had to sit down and really think about it and, and write about it. And I've come up with something that I'm gonna call. The magnet method. Okay. Once you learn it, your entire approach to content could really shift from feeling overwhelming and scattered to super strategic. This episode is gonna be for you if you're posting constantly, but honestly, getting very little to no traction. If your content feels kind of scattered and you're questioning your messaging all the time, or if you just have no idea how to talk about what you do in a way that makes people actually want to buy from you. You are so not alone. I, I just wanna say that because again, I have been where you are and I still end up where you are. This again, is this like constantly evolving thing. It's not like you nail your messaging in your business and you're like, oh, okay, all good. Never have to talk about that again, or think about it. I wish, but that's not even close to how it actually is. So I hope this is gonna help you. I wanna walk you through the magnet method. It's a five step framework to really help clarify your message, boost engagement and results, and turn your followers into super aligned buying clients. Okay? This is the exact method that I'm going to be personally walking a handful of women through this fall. Inside a program, I don't know what it's called yet. I know it's the magnet method, is the actual method and framework. Is it the Magnet method Mastermind? I don't know. So don't hold me to any name on what's gonna be called, but I have created, or I am creating this for female service-based solopreneurs who are tired of throwing spaghetti at the wall and ready to really feel in control. Her message and content strategy. I don't want you to give up. I don't want you to go back to corporate. Like literally when I get dms from people, like, oh, I had to stop my business and I had to go back to the corporate world. I wanna cry. I don't ever wanna go back there. I don't wanna boss. I wanna be. The ruler of my schedule and my time, and I wanna put my time and effort into what I wanna put my time and effort into. But you have to be rewarded for it. You, it has to make sense for you and your family, and you have to make money like that. That is the bottom line. So with clarity is gonna come confidence, and I would love to work with you. I'm gonna just throw it out there. Now, before I forget, I'm gonna put a link in the show notes to a wait list. It might be application only. I have never done that before, but I am feeling so called to have this be an intimate group of women who are on a very equal playing field that I can really dig my fingers into your business and help you get from where you are to where you wanna be. So. Show notes. Go to the show notes, get on this wait list. Okay. Why does this matter? Clear messaging isn't just about sounding professional. It's literally the difference between, oh, that's a nice post and. Where the F do I sign up, like, where do I sign up? I need to be in this, I need to work with her. I want to be in her world. And that is truly one of the best compliments that I have gotten multiple times where people just say, I wanna be in your world. I wanna be in your and, and it's usually members in my membership. And I'm like, that is just music to my ears. But most people are never taught how to build messaging, clarity. They're told, oh, just be authentic. Just show up authentically. What does that mean? Be more consistent? Well, you're probably like, I am. I am consistent. I'm posting consistently, and I'm not getting the results I need. Or they're just like, oh, you know, add more value. And to be honest, that's actually a problem that I see a lot of times is some people are just teaching, teaching, teaching, teaching in their feeds. They're not showing up in a way that connects with their audience and shows that more vulnerable, real side of yourself. So it's all great advice until you sit down to write the post and suddenly forget what your business. Even does, and I laugh because that's literally me. I'm telling you everything I am, everything I'm saying in this episode. I need to sit and re-listen to this podcast like multiple times. So it's why I created the magnet method. It's gonna give you the structure so you can show up with confidence. Let's break this down. Guess what? Every letter stands for something how original I know, but I needed a way to, I needed to call it something, you know? So, magnet M, message clarity. This is the part that's gonna be all about nailing your niche, your tone of voice, and your offer in a way that actually clicks with your ideal client. This is the answer to what do you do? Who is it for? What results do you help them get? And this is probably the most important one. Why you? Why you? Why should I trust you? Why should I invest in you? And this is where your I help statement is gonna get a glow up. So I want you to ask yourself, could a total stranger understand what I do in 10 seconds or less? If not, you are not alone. Remember, you're not alone. And. This is gonna be your first fix, so the message clarity, and this is the first thing we will work on in this fall program, and you will walk away with serious message clarity and it is going to feel so freaking good, I swear to God. Okay, A audience connection. This is speaking to the right people in the right way. Okay? This is where your messaging stops sounding like everybody else is because you're using your voice. Their language. So your voice there, meaning your ideal client's language. We're gonna focus on your brand voice, emotional resonance, so connecting with people on a deeper level. Storytelling. And empathy driven content. Those are things that I work on and do consistently that I think a lot of people are missing because people don't just buy from you when they understand you. They buy from you when they feel. Understood, and that's huge. I bet. In these first few minutes of this podcast, you're feeling understood because I'm actually walking right along with you. You're probably like, what? Who gives you the right to teach me this stuff? If you don't feel confident? I don't know, because I actually built a pretty darn successful business in three and a half years. I'm about to hit a million dollars. I'm really happy and content, and I have a lot of balance. I have a beautiful life and I'm putting the time where I want it to. So while I sit here and say, messaging isn't my, like total jam, I know I'm better at it than I am giving myself credit for. So just trust me, if you join the program, I will not lead you astray. And if you've ever been in anything I bought, I know you know that. So g. Is goal aligned content? This is content that aligns with your business goals, not just the algorithm. So every time I post, I'm not like, oh my God, I hope I get a million likes and go viral. No, I don't give a, you know what about that? To be super honest, I have business goals and every post I put out, you better believe I am worried about. Is this helping me reach my goals? This is the shift from posting randomly to posting with intention and purpose behind every post. And this is the difference between somebody waking up and being like, what will I post today? I don't know. You know, let me go figure something out and I know exactly what I'm posting today and I know exactly what the goal is. And even if it doesn't get a million likes, did it hit the goals that I was looking for? Did people comment? Did I grow my list because. I mean, I know I've said it before y'all, but my goal is to grow my email list. I am not trying to crush the algorithm on Instagram. I don't really care what the new updates are. You may not have noticed, or you may have, I'm not the first person to let people know when new things happen on Instagram.'cause I'm just like, okay, here's another thing. Let me see how this plays out. And I don't wanna talk about it until I've experimented with it and seen if it's even worth it.'cause again, I have a goal and my goal is to grow my email list and get people. Off of Instagram as fast as possible and onto my email list. That is where my revenue is made. So in this goal aligned content section of this program, I'm gonna be talking about how to map your content to your offers, how to use. Uber clear, consistent calls to action and how to design content, carousels, reels, captions that lead people towards the next step. Okay? It's not about posting more, I promise you that I'm not gonna sit here and be like, post 30 times a day or five times a day. No, this is about posting smarter. In fact, if anything, I want you to spread yourself less thin and post less and be a lot more intentional about those few posts that you put out. And that's really what I've been working on. This past summer, n No Fluff offers, position your offers clearly so that people want them, they feel like they need them. As you're listening to this, are you like, this is exactly what I need, like that's my hope. I want you to learn that clarifying what you offer. Is crucial to getting to people to buy from you. So clarifying what your offer actually is, explaining the transformation, not just the features. And that's something I struggle with because I actually do buy on features. I wanna know, is there a community? What does that look like? How many calls do we have a week? How long do I have access to the program? I'm actually like a features girl, so I tend to talk about those more than the transformation. And I've had to really work at explaining the transformation more, and it's about showing your value without overexplaining it. Okay? So like not explaining it to death, not using big words that nobody understands. It's showing your value without overexplaining it. So, because if your dream client is confused about what you offer, they're not buying it sis. They're not buying it. Okay. E engagement energy. Oof. I love this one. This is about boosting engagement without burning out or being glued to your. Okay. I'm trying to spend the least amount of time on my phone as possible. I don't know about you, but I have a tracker. I have got that Instagram. What is it like time limit set. So I think it's anything over two hours. I get a message saying, Hey, you're five minutes away from reaching your time limit. And I have a choice. I can be like, Hmm, remind me in 15 minutes. Ignore for the day. Or Okay. And I try as hard as I can to just say, okay, but if I'm in the middle of a launch or something that's needing big time engagement, energy, I'm gonna ignore it. And that is just what it is. But that's not all the time for me. So this is where you're gonna learn how to spark conversations with your audience. Because honestly, it goes down in the dms. I've said it before, it goes down in the dms. I want people to not only get on my email list, but go from just commenting on a post to hopping in my dms and talking to me. I want conversations. I want people to want to talk to me, and you better believe if you DM me, you're gonna hear back. It's very important to me, and I think that goes a really long way. We're gonna talk about using engagement prompts, questions, and polls really intentionally. To get the feedback that you need from your audience and get them talking to you. Okay? And you're gonna turn comments and dms into actual leads if you take the time in this area, this engagement energy area. So for example, just before I decided what I was gonna launch this fall, because honest to God, I was not sure, I just was waiting to be sort of. Called to what I was gonna do. I, I didn't, and I was thinking I was gonna launch my email list, growing, uh, course I was gonna call it strategy. Um, start and grow your email list.'cause I have it. It's, it's there, it's ready. I, it wouldn't take a ton of work other than launching my kids don't go back to school till September 3rd, which you're probably listening to this around then. And I was just like, just do what's easy. But I took polls. I not only took polls in my stories. My Instagram stories. I took a poll in my newsletter this week and I also took a poll in seven membership, and I gave them three options. And the three options were things that I was willing to. Talk about this fall and to coach, and the overwhelming response was message clarity and increased engagement. It was not email list. In fact, email list was at the bottom, and I pray that that's because most people in my audience have a list that they're very confident about and they're sending newsletters regularly. Otherwise, y'all probably should have voted for start and grow your email list, but it's okay. It's okay. Uh, we will go with the messaging clarity and now I have to build something while my kids are home for the next three weeks before school starts. It's fine. It's totally fine. We're, we're gonna do it, but. Engagement energy. This is because engagement isn't just likes, right? It's, it's that connection. It's that deeper connection. That's when people reach out and they say, I feel like we could be besties in real life. When you talk to me in stories, I feel like I'm sitting across from you on a coffee date. Hello. Like goals. People have said that to me and I'm like, this is news to my ears. I will be your bestie like I am your DM bestie. Done in real life, we'd probably be thick as thieves. I love that. So, and that connection is what's gonna lead to conversion. No question. Last letter. T, T, t, T. And this isn't an optional bonus week. We'll see if I actually teach this or we just kind of glance over it. But this is important. It's test and tweak. Review. Refine and really dig into and amplify what's working. Okay? And this is where we will co-create together. We will workshop, and we're gonna refine your messaging and content together in this program. It's gonna be epic. You're gonna get feedback. You're gonna get audits from me and my team, and you are gonna get content coworking time and real time support to help your message evolve. Like I'm picturing, literally like providing a carousel template that I use and love and being like, I want everyone in these next 30 minutes on this call together, this work shopping time to create a carousel with this certain message. And at the end of the 30 minutes, we're all gonna show and tell. And we're gonna workshop it. It's gonna be so good. You're gonna learn so much because magnetic messaging isn't something you perfect once. It's something you build over time. And I've, I've said that a couple times, like in this podcast, like this is a muscle I work over and over, so. The second I started really using this magnet method in my own life and content, I stopped feeling like I had to be everywhere and say everything and prove myself over and over. I knew what my message was. I knew who I was talking to. I knew what to post, and I knew how to guide people into working with me without feeling like gross, salesy and overbearing. Because if you know me, I absolutely hate selling. I actually, I love launching. I love launching is so fun for me. The emails and the showing up in stories and the energy and the post-it notes on my wall, but I don't like selling. It's really, ugh, it just makes me feel icky. But. I want you to have that same clarity and this method. It is the path. I feel really confident about it and I feel really excited. So if this method is speaking to you good, that means you're ready to finally build a message that connects and converts. And that's exactly what we're gonna do inside this TBD fall program. Name, I don't know, magnetic method. No, I don't like magnetic. Too many people say that. I don't know what it's gonna be called. Just bear with me on that. But it's gonna help you nail your brand foundation, clarify your message, create content that actually performs and build an aligned, engaged community. That wants to buy from you. Glorious, like how good does that sound? So join the wait list to get first access, probably early bird pricing, and probably a juicy pre-launch bonus of some kind. Again, I don't know if it's gonna be like a, I'm taking 30 women or I'm taking like eight. That's something I need to work out and I need to really think about.
