Yeah, the big my biggest takeaway was when did they stop doing video packages for the matches? Uh when they have to use that time for their advertisement, but could could they not put a fucking video package before the matches so you know the story going into the match, other than the main event? It was only the main events.

Well, if you add a video package on top of the ads and the matches, the the nights would be longer.

Yeah, I know going there last year, um in between matches were great because it gave you a chance to go get another beer or go to the bathroom or whatnot. Oh, and yeah, that's wonderful. Watching home, you're just seeing the same ads, yeah, repeat, repeat, repeat. So it gets a little um, but yeah, I don't have a problem with all the advertisements. A lot of people do, but I mean this corporate world, uh it is what it is. Yeah, it's not the ads that I had the problem with, it was the lack of video packages. Um, what were they on? Um drugs, no, no, ESPN. So ESPN paid a lot of money for the streaming, so of course they're gonna want get their money back by putting ads up again. Is a business it's the same as watching uh NASCAR or NFL or you know, wrestling's no difference, no, yeah, for sure.

It's this is the world we live in, and then people are like adding like minutes of matches and stuff, like oh, so all there's only uh so many minutes of matches compared to ads. Like, what the fuck?

If you're counting minutes, I heard a lot of people complaining about how short the matches were. I actually thought a lot of them were properly timed. I'm none of them drug, none of them drug on like post pay-per-views, like any AEW pay-per-view you ever watch. None of the fucking matches drug on too long.

Um, but yeah, like if you're a wrestler, Joey Ryan, if you're WWE and you're getting paid regardless, the same amount of money, and Triple H came up, he said, All right, you got a four-minute match or a 20-minute match? You're gonna do four minutes, right? Are you asking me?

Yeah, all right, let's get into this, shall we? Yeah, uh we'll start with night one. We're also gonna talk about the raw after WrestleMania just shortly, too, as well. So, all right, night one. I'll uh announce the match and and a couple of the key points in it, and then you guys can jump in and yes, tell us what you thought. All right, so uh night one opened up uh John Cena was the host, looking like Vince McMahon, the hair and everything. Uh he look he looks something different, doesn't he? Opened the show. Um, so the first match was uh six man L uh I'm just gonna be looking over this way a lot because I have it up here on my other screen. Um, LA Knight and the Usos uh took on I Show Speed and The Vision, which was Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Uh, I believe uh LA Knight got the win but uh uh by his BFT on Theory. Um, but the big spot, of course, was I Show Speed in the flying potato.

Um considering what was I like the spot where he had the the tool, the toolbox, and then like Drew's like, no, because it's like of what happened, was it last year or whatever when he got hit with uh the toolbox and he had like the 18 stitches with punk? Yeah, and the punk match, yeah. Yeah, so I like that and Drew did the uh grab the phone from his brother-in-law or whatever and did the live video. Welcome, and then hit Fatou with the phone. I thought that was cool too.

Maybe it was just me, but for me, it felt like neither of those guys were really a hundred percent in it. It felt like they were kind of just having the match. I don't know if it was the atmosphere or what it was.

Um, not that it was bad, it wasn't bad, but it you know, it was I think people had high expectations because it was unsanctured, they thought it was gonna be a lot more you can't have a crazy, crazy match that early in the card. True, and considering what's gonna happen later on in the main event and stuff, you don't want a lot of blood. Um, anyway, that match was 14 minutes and nine seconds. So, again, very long match for uh something like that. So if I were at 22 minutes, don't fucking count the matches. Um, the next match uh we chug along here was the four-way for the WWE women's tag team championships. The irresistible forces, Nia Jax and Lash Legend, who looked awesome. Coming up looking like demolition, the white demolition, fantastic. Yeah, that's cool. Charlotte Flair and Alexis Bliss looked great as you know, Alexa Bliss was the full colorful batter butterfly, and Alexis Bliss was the black and white, like almost like a black, like um, what's her name used to do in AEW? Uh uh Tori Wilson, like she was all in black and white.

No one knew she was coming, and then they panned to a guy holding a sign. Paige is here, yeah, yeah. Nobody knew. No, no one knew, but except that one man. Yeah, he's the guy that leaked it. Huh? He's the guy that leaked it. Yeah, yeah, I guess. Uh it was just, you know, your normal four-way tag match. It was a mess.

My thoughts on that match, though, honestly, was it wasn't as much of a mess as I was expecting. Oh, really? Yeah, it was it wasn't great, but I was expecting a complete train wreck, and but it was it was good enough.

Uh Jessica Carr, of course, was the referee. Uh they had a little uh pushy pushy in the middle of the match, which is always fun to see. I thought it was a good match. Yeah, I thought it was a great match. Um and uh AJ looked a lot better than in their last match.
