From the Desk of Zoe Washington takes you on a journey with a twelve year old who finds a letter her father who is incarcerated wrote to her along with finding out he has been writing to her.  She has never spoken to her father and doesn't know if or how to respond to this new discovery.

A Soft Place to Land captures the struggles of twelve year old Joy who has to move from the only home she ever knew due to her father losing his job.  Life is very different and she feels like she is going without a lot.  There is an enormous amount of tension between her parents and she feels a need to hold it together for her baby sister despite the walls closing in.
