Some people would say this there's a revival happening amongst young people. What do you make of that movement?

SPEAKER_03

In the last fifty years, secularism has become so strong. People have rejected God and really wanted to just, you know, go step out into this much more secularly driven type of society. And I think that what's happened because of that is darkness is showing itself in a much more prominent way. That's a big reason why a lot of younger people are starting to come back to faith and come back to God because they're seeing the fruit that is rotten.

SPEAKER_00

Joining us now is the founder and president of Pulse Evangelism, Nick Hall. Nick, what can you tell us? First of all, great to see you. Happy Easter. What can you tell us about religious revival among young young adults that we're seeing in the country?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, God is moving in this generation. It is a revival generation. We've seen faith among Gen Z triple just in the last five years. Church attendance, Gen Z now is outpacing every other generation when it comes to those that are attending church. So God is at work. There's a hunger against the backdrop of darkness. I've been telling people there's never been a better time to be in the light business than right now.

SPEAKER_02

I love that, especially on this Easter. What a wonderful message. I want to ask you, Nick, for the young people out there that are curious about this, but they didn't grow up religious. It wasn't something that they were ever taught as children, but now they're seeing some of their friends, getting into this revival, finding faith again, but they're still a little apprehensive because, you know, the whole concept of religion and church and faith feels very foreign to them. What do you tell them about this revival?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you know, I just talk to people personally. I was just with a young man uh this week when I was in New York City, actually actually after I was on Fox News, Fox and Friends, uh, his name was Anthony. He's young, he's questioning life. And I just said, Anthony, if this is real, you need to know. You need to experience the hope of God for yourself, the love of God for yourself. Don't believe what everybody else said, or don't believe some negative experience you had. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you away from the very thing that God wants to use to bring you healing and life. So listen, we're seeing people from all walks of life turn, turn to Jesus, open up their Bibles. Bible sales continue to be at record highs, church attendance. This is a moment where young people are turning and they're turning to Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Nick, we've got Zachary Levi, and he comes in here all the time. We have him on Gutfeld. I think Tim Tebow is featured in this. These are big name people. I mean, Zachary is a Hollywood guy, okay? And like you said, it's a good time to be in the light business. But speaking of business, is there still a resistance in mainstream America to talking about religion? People like Zachary have have gone out there and taken a risk, really. And I'm wondering if you see Hollywood, the business world, the corporate world, do they have the same resistance to religious talk that they used to when I was growing up?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, obviously there's going to be resistance. You know, you see certain places where on secular campuses it's harder and harder for Christian groups to book venues. But in the same breath, this week alone, there's an event at Indiana University in the basketball arena. There's an event at North Dakota University in the basketball arena. These are students in secular places lifting high the name of Jesus. So revival spreading. You know, in Hollywood, in the arts, you know, if you're working on Broadway in New York City, you have to be tactful and understanding. But I would just say this there has never been a time when people want to hear story more than ever. They want to hear personal encounter more than ever. If a person says, I was depressed, I was sad, I was addicted, and I encountered this hope that was found in Jesus, right? I tell people there's nothing offensive about your story. And so I think we're finding ways to tell it creatively, winsomely, but not water down the good news of the gospel because Jesus came to set people free.

SPEAKER_00

Beautiful. Nicole, thank you for joining us tonight. And thank you for being in the light business. We appreciate it.
