Rerun! Episode 2: How did we become Rebels
In this rerun your hosts, Alex and John, discuss how they became Rebel Clinicians. John shares how his training in clinical psychology eventually led him to yoga and becoming a Certified Yoga Therapist. Alex links his stories of being an adventurous and curious child with his work as a therapist.
The two further define what it means to be a rebel. They see it as the discipline to stay on the path of the clinical guidelines in which one practices. But also taking the intentional merged off those pathways to integrate other techniques, philosophies, and practices into their therapy work.
John best describes this using the Tantric philosophy, “expanding your consciousness and liberating your spirit.” Alex and John use this phrase to inform the listener of what is possible when it comes to being a rebel clinician. They also realize that sometimes there are obstacles and other restrictions that might hinder one’s desire to become a rebel.
Listen to this episode to gain some insight into your own creative visions as you understand the concept and practice of being a Rebel Clinician.
