What do you do when the phone call comes that you weren't expecting? When your plans fall apart, life gets chaotic, or the storm you're facing feels bigger than you can handle?
In this episode of the Redeemed & Restored Podcast, Mike Noland dives into Psalm 1 and Proverbs 1 and explores what it means to stay rooted in God when the storms of life are raging. Psalm 1 gives us the picture of a person who is like a tree planted by streams of water because their life is rooted in God's Word.
We also look at Proverbs 1 and the truth that "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge." True wisdom begins with recognizing who God is, trusting Him, and building a daily relationship with Him.
Your circumstances may change. Your plans may change. The people around you may change. But when your roots are deep in Christ, you don't have to be shaken by everything happening around you.
Daily time in God's Word, prayer, worship, and communion with Him aren't religious chores. They're how we develop roots deep enough to remain standing when the storm comes.
Whether you're walking through recovery, addiction, anxiety, uncertainty, difficult circumstances, or simply trying to grow closer to God, this episode is a reminder that peace doesn't come from having a storm-free life. Peace comes from knowing Who is with you in the storm.
Stay rooted. Stay in the Word. Stay close to Jesus.
